West stood at the head of the table while his mother looked at him curiously. His father sat beside her, while Liz occupied one of the chairs near Aria.
Jax leaned back casually with Nina sitting quietly beside him. As for Aunt Mirabel, she was doing what had apparently become her newest favorite hobby... rubbing West's head.
"My goodness."
West closed his eyes. "Aunt Mirabel…"
"You've really grown," she voiced in disbelief as her fingers ran through his hair. "You've truly become a man."
"Aunt Mirabel, I'm trying to conduct a meeting."
"And I'm complimenting you."
"You're messing up my hair."
"You'll survive."
Jax snorted, Nina covered a smile and even West's father chuckled. He had always known Aunt Mirabel to be like this when it came to West.
West eventually managed to escape her hand and straighten his hair.
"Can everyone please focus?"
They all settled down after West's expression became serious.
"After everything that's happened recently, I've been thinking."
