Chapter 249 - Actions That Shatter Common Sense

Tap! Tap!

The world seemed to stop spinning.

Everyone, whether it was the panel of judges, the spectators, Alrain who was exerting his maximum speed, even Allen who was losing his consciousness, was extremely shocked.

Arvin was already standing tall right between the two of them. Without using any protective magic, the blue-haired youth held Alrain's wrist with his right hand, stopping the deadly momentum of the wind sword just a few centimeters from Allen's neck.

At the same time, his left hand gripped Allen's wrist very tightly, stopping the pace of his light sword right in front of Alrain's hand.

Silence descended to envelop the arena. The churning stormy wind instantly subsided.

Alrain smiled in amusement seeing his husband holding his wrist.

The memory of his fight with Allen in the past rang clearly in his mind again. With the exact same method and precision like this, his husband stopped his lightning-fast movements purely with bare hands.

"Enough and stop it right there!" commanded Arvin absolutely, his voice breaking the silence with full authority. He stared sharply at the green-haired youth beside him. "If you continue, you will kill Allen and you are also certain to lose your right hand, Alrain!"

The instinct of Allen, who had still lost his sanity, responded to Arvin's interference as a threat.

Thud!

Without warning, Allen raised his left leg high and kicked Arvin's face with full power. The hard impact was heard clearly, yet the blue-haired youth did not flinch the slightest bit. His head was not even pushed backward.

Seeing his first spouse continuing to rebel, Arvin released his grip on Alrain's hand.

"Forgive me, Allen..." he whispered softly.

Whoosh! Bang!

Without hesitation, Arvin spun Allen's body and immediately slammed his first spouse's body very hard onto the arena.

"Akhh....!!!!"

The pink-haired youth screamed as his back crashed, before finally losing consciousness after receiving that hard slam.

The sword in his hand and the pair of light element wings also slowly turned into light particles that evaporated and then disappeared.

In the spectator stands, all the students from the Astoria academy immediately shuddered in horror and gulped seeing that brutal sight. They were reminded again of the dark memory in the past, when Arvin slammed all the bullies mercilessly onto the corridor floor after he was satisfied torturing them until they lost consciousness.

In the special participant stands, Raven who was sitting limply also instantly realized the difference in power between himself and Arvin. Stopping a crazy fight that was too fast for the eye to catch purely with bare hands, then taking a direct kick to the face without a single scratch. Raven's pride as a prince was completely shattered today.

"He is truly very terrifying." said Ordion casually, breaking the tension in the participant stands area. "He always mercilessly slams everyone who has a problem with him until they pass out like that. Even in the past, anyone who challenged him, regardless of who they were, would always end up unconscious. Even a noble who couldn't accept his son being beaten up, he killed directly in the classroom without saying much."

"Is he really that crazy?" asked Kylen curiously, slightly amazed hearing that story.

"Yes, he is indeed that crazy if his patience has run out." answered Ordion. "At our academy, he holds the title King of Terror. Even a royal prince would think twice to dare bother him."

Ordion then turned his head and stared sharply at Raven.

"And as for you, Raven!" asserted Ordion to him with a low, threatening tone. "Actually, I really want to burn you alive right here because you audaciously dared to insult our husband! But if I do that now, he will definitely be angry and disappointed in me."

"Are you threatening me?" hissed Raven, unwilling to accept it.

"I am not threatening you!" answered Ordion firmly, releasing a bit of heat from his body. "But I am stating this to you because I can do it at any time! Ingrain that well in your mind!"

Feeling that deadly aura, Raven only remained silent, ignoring Ordion's words, and chose to turn his face away, looking back towards the arena.

There, Arvin was carrying Allen bridal style and walking slowly towards the participant stands, accompanied by Alrain walking by his side.

Upon arriving at the participant stands, Arvin laid his first spouse's body down onto the row of seats very carefully.

Seeing a participant had passed out, several medical personnel from the committee immediately came running towards the participant stands to perform emergency treatment on Allen.

However, before they could approach him...

Crack!

Their path was blocked by a giant ice block that suddenly jutted out from the stands' floor. The air temperature around the participant stands instantly dropped drastically.

"Don't do anything to my spouse's body!" asserted Arvin, his eyes glancing sharply at those medical personnel. "The five of you should not carelessly want to heal him without knowing what effect will happen afterward!"

"B-But why?" asked a medical worker with a confused look on his face because their emergency action was stopped so suddenly. "Shouldn't he, who is currently unconscious, be healed immediately?"

"It is better for you to just step back right now!" chimed in Alrain suddenly, standing between them because he didn't want anyone to get killed. "Our husband loves us very much and knows for sure what he decides. I don't want him to kill the five of you in this place just because of your actions ignoring his warning."

Hearing that deadly warning, the five medical personnel looked at each other. They finally could only nod in resignation then immediately left the participant stands.

After they left, Alrain turned his head towards his husband.

"My Love, why did you act like that instead?" asked Alrain in wonder. "What exactly will happen if Allen is healed with medical magic while he is unconscious like that?"

"If that happens while the latent power inside his body is experiencing an awakening, then his mana flow will be chaotic. And as a side effect, he will lose his memories permanently!" answered Arvin firmly, revealing a shocking fact. "I will certainly never let anyone heal him forcefully and let him forget all of us!"

Arvin's answer successfully shocked everyone in the participant stands. They never expected that the effect of healing the unconscious Allen post-awakening would trigger such a terrifying side effect.

"All of you, guard Allen properly and kill anyone who tries to approach him!" ordered Arvin firmly to his spouses.

"I understand, My Love / My Dear / Honey / Darling!" answered Alrain, Ordion, Alvein, and Kylen simultaneously with absolute loyalty.

Arvin then turned his head and looked straight at the golden-haired woman beside Kylen.

"Elenora, I hope you don't act recklessly!" asserted Arvin again, giving her a warning.

"I will certainly never do it if that's your command!" replied Elenora casually with a faint smile. "Besides, I also don't want Allen to forget the existence of all of us here."
