"What is this?"
The researcher, pushing the barrier with his two hands, acted as if he wanted to move it and reach the thing ten steps away, but this was impossible. Even though he knew it very well, his curiosity had overcome his logic; he had to learn, he definitely had to know, and as luck would have it, the other side had business requiring her to be at least as impatient as him.
"When one has thought for hundreds of years, quite a few new ideas come to one's mind; what you see is the product of one of them. I call it Orc Blood Techniques - Wild Creature Transformation, but actually, as you also see, these are normal animals you know, they just seem interesting to you."
Nafız's orc body stood the same, but there was another body made of blood energy over it. A wide torso, two eyes close to each other, and along with the thin whiskers over its small mouth, it was impossible for those on the World of the Six Civilizations to recognize this creature.
"No need to be surprised; since this creature is not in your world, it is natural you don't know what it is, and don't be sad, actually there weren't many who knew it in the world the Electric Eel lived in either. Anyway, let me return this unnecessary tension you loaded on me to you!"
Nafız, along with the end of her words, sent the lightning arcs wandering on the body formed with blood energy back to their owner; the ice-blue attacks were battering the shield the researchers were inside.
"Insolent orc, if we were afraid of this energy attack, we wouldn't have trapped ourselves inside the area. I don't know who you are, but you will die today after taking part in my experiments!"
Nafız began to laugh out loud; her friend had been taken captive in a raid on a facility where orcs were used as test subjects, and now as she went to save him, someone else was saying he would make her a test subject too. Her laughs began to echo with an increasingly murderous tone; the aura overflowing from her body screamed that death was with her.
"Sir, this person is!"
"Whoever it is, start the second experiment!"
The blonde-haired man interrupted his subordinate's speech and, maintaining his place one hand-span away to prove his belief in the shield protecting them, ordered the next experiment to be started. Inside the Empire of Machines, superior-subordinate relationships were bound by strict rules; the person receiving the order couldn't utter another word, but the researcher noticing the green-skinned hand grabbing his throat would say I wish I had listened to him a second later.
"Come on, let's experience this experiment all together!"
The energy field could sustain its existence as long as there was a source to support it, and it could protect those inside from incoming attacks; but what if a much greater force wanted to pierce it?
The result was obvious; Nafız, pulling the blonde-haired man out of the shield, entered inside in his place. His subordinates were in amazement, but this didn't last very long either. When the two daggers wandering in the area returned to Nafız's hands again, they didn't look alive enough to be surprised; the Blood God bent down and picked up the box with buttons on it.
"Let the second experiment begin!"
When she pressed the buttons randomly imitating the blonde-haired man, the researcher punching the surface of the energy area wanted to say something, but Nafız's whistle had drowned out all the sound.
"Whose student are you? Sorry I can't hear you, shout a little more!"
The blonde-haired man, who silenced his subordinate just as he was about to say her name, was trying to say someone's name, but in these moments Nafız had no intention of listening to him. He was shouting, punching, screaming at the top of his lungs, but he couldn't manage to make his voice heard until the first lightning arc piercing through his body.
When everything ended, Nafız left the area where everyone except a few researchers turned to charcoal as it was and continued on her way. She had wasted about an hour here, and if we take into account her journey in front of the Death Pass too, her friend had been in the hands of the enemy for almost a full day.
Who was that enemy? The Apostle, who was the Master's servant, or White Well, who planned to create an army for himself with the experiments he conducted on orcs? The answer to the question was inside another secret facility one day away from where Nafız was.
The geographical shape of the Mercenaries' Lodge resembled a long and thin piece of meat, and therefore Nafız, who crossed regions in almost half a day, needed two days to reach the facility somewhere close to the border of the Empire of Machines.
"You might have wanted to kill me, but I will not be this merciful to you, Orc Chief Alyon!"
White Well was on the job as if nothing happened one day after the attack that almost reached his heart. The Apostle was nowhere in sight; inside the bunker-like facility meters below ground, there was only Alyon besides the five thousand orcs and researchers inside the cages.
Alyon, suspended inside a light green solution in a glass tube twice his own size, had a void where his left arm should be. The armors on him had been removed; he was making an appearance exactly as he came out of his mother's womb years ago.
There were more than one needles entering his body; the colorful hoses at their ends went out of the tube and connected to the platform in front of White Well. This platform, having holes covered with caps the same color as the hoses on it, had only one purpose: to give the test subject the necessary drugs.
"Your son could have served my purpose much better. Under his leadership, along with his intelligence and area attacks, I could have created my own utopia, but I will not give up. The Master chose me for an important mission; I had to find a solution to the orc problem breeding like pests on the World of the Six Civilizations.
Do you know why I, and not someone else, was deemed worthy of this mission? Because I have proven myself in exterminating pests before; I am the person who rid the capital of the tailed rodents that started appearing on every street!"
White Well, pausing his speech, began to place small glass capsules into the slots on the platform in front of him. While the liquids inside flowed towards Alyon's body through the hoses of the same color, he observed the situation for ten seconds, wrote something in his notebook in his hand, and continued to explain with a pleased expression.
"How did I do it? Actually, it is simple for someone of my genius, but it might be complicated for an orc whose head works a little like you. Therefore, we can talk about this subject while the drugs that will block your non-existent mind flow into your body!
Others tried poisoning, there were those wanting to kill with physical intervention, they even went further and tried to create energy weapons affecting only reptiles, but they all resulted in failure. But I focused on the simple; I simplified things, just like I did while researching how to destroy your race for years.
I gathered hundreds of rodents in the same place and fed them regularly. Inside large experiment pools, the insides of twenty large pools were swarming with rodents. After a while, I stopped giving food; when they got hungry, they didn't know what to do.
Then one of them, the most savage among them, started eating the others. Every day while their numbers decreased, the number of rodents eating their own kind gradually increased until a week later, only one living creature remained inside the large experiment pool.
There, the last surviving rodent inside twenty experiment pools was now the greatest rodent hunter. The trials gave tremendous results; the rodents not getting startled when a creature of their own kind came next to them were torn to pieces before understanding what happened.
The foundations of the plan to make the Orc Steppes my personal experiment field were laid like this. My Neo-Orc army of five thousand people is ready; warriors compatible with all kinds of conditions and all kinds of mutations are waiting for the person to lead them.
This leader was going to be your son; this way I could have pressured both your Dynasty Family and his master, the Blood God Nafız, but there can be some variables in every experiment. I have no choice but to adapt to the situation; when all the drugs mix into your blood, I will now have a puppet Orc Chief."
