Chapter 576 - Beş Yüz Yetmiş Altı

Wrestler switched to his first form the moment they exited the facility; it was impossible for him to catch up with Nafız when he had only two legs. Even with his four legs, he could track from ten steps behind, but at least he wasn't delaying her this way.

"I think they are somewhere underground; the energetic bond between the two of us is weakening!"

Nafız knew the meaning of this very well; the problem wasn't just the distance or the obstacles in between. Wrestler was the product of Alyon's inner world, and the closer he got to death, the weaker the communication between them became.

"In which direction do we continue!"

"We will advance in this direction. The secret facility must be somewhere close to the border of the Empire of Machines!"

"Let alone being close to the Empire of Machines, even if it is in its capital, I will bring that place down on their heads!"

Nafız had managed to become enemies with the Empire of Machines, which she hadn't thought about much until today; the engineers had a very big share in this. It wasn't for nothing they said destiny makes enemies walk on the same path; half an hour later, along with the energy attacks coming from their right side, the newly started grudge would deepen.

The duo, moving solely to reach the target, were advancing defenselessly, and this surprise attack was enough to destroy them because everyone had seen them take a direct hit. The others might think so, but when the dust cloud rising from the ground returned to its former place, a blood-red line accelerated towards the energy weapons.

Eight mechanical devices for attack purposes were right in front of her; the bow appeared in her hand, and the arrows headed towards the target one after another. Now it was time to find those who set this trap; Nafız, thinking the Apostle must have done this assuming someone would come after them, erased these thoughts from her mind with more than ten new attacks landing where she was.

Those who did this were here, and they could see exactly where she was. Other attacks were also being organized on the place where Wrestler waited; there was no doubt, they were facing new enemies.

"Wrestler, wait here!"

Nafız, taking Alyon's power animal under protection with the Blood Dome, also prevented her friend from getting further injured this way. The Apostle could perhaps bypass this technique, but she was certain ordinary energy weapons didn't possess this ability.

"Now, let's see where you are!"

Nafız, shooting into the sky by spreading her wings, soared high enough to have a bird's-eye view of a wide area within seconds. She could see the energy weapons hidden all around, traps, mines, and the people in white coats who had protected themselves with an energy field.

Behind them was a crowd of soldiers numbering almost a thousand, and the gold details on their uniforms were not something to be missed. Nafız, finding her ultimate target, went into a dive; she was fast like an eagle pouncing towards its prey.

At the same time, she didn't forget to scream; along with the sound waves, all the unnecessary excesses around were shattering. While energy weapons, traps, mines exploded one after another, attacks of all colors set off towards her.

Nafız cared about none of these; she advanced directly by clashing head-on, and finally, when she was about to reach the area where the soldiers were, she turned whoever was under her to puree along with her two claws. The moment she set foot on the ground, her two legs changed shape to sustain that irresistible speed, and along with the daggers appearing in her hands, she began to kill the soldiers of the force the Golden Leaf Merchant Guild sent as an advance unit.

"Activate the traps!"

When someone inside the group protected by the energy shield gave the order, the person next to him pressed the top one of the buttons on the square box in his hand. Among the crowd where Nafız blew like a wind, some soldiers began to explode one after another.

When the Blood God was hurled with the impact of the explosion occurring one step ahead of her, she heard dozens, even hundreds of explosion sounds while still in the air. If it were a trap, she would definitely be able to understand when she ascended; so what was the source of these explosions?

"Sir, the camouflages injected with explosive charged with elemental energy are working with one hundred percent success."

"The destruction rate of the targets in their area of effect is ninety-nine percent!"

The man with short blonde hair, whose face was settled with a huge smile when he heard the first data, sulked as if he heard an insult along with the second one. His gazes intensified on the area where the explosions occurred, and he didn't wait to ask the reason for this deviation.

"Who is the person who managed to survive the traps?"

"The main target managed to survive!"

"How is it possible? How is a miserable orc not affected by my new invention?"

"The sensors show the target's body is protected by a type of energy denser and stronger than the elemental energies used in the attack."

"Close the area! We are starting the trials of the other weapons!"

When the blonde man, putting both his hands in the side pockets of his white researcher coat, shouted, an energy field encompassing the surviving soldiers, Nafız, and Wrestler appeared out of nowhere. Right after, metal antennas coming out from inside the ground and their lengths reaching a human height were everywhere.

"Artificial clouding has started!"

"Lightning Element charge has started accumulating!"

"Last three seconds to formation!"

"Two!"

"One!"

"System Active!"

The other people standing behind the blonde-haired man and almost all having the same clothing, the same haircut, and the same skin color as him stated the stages in order. In these moments, black clouds appeared inside the created area; the tension among these clouds, trying to advance by shouldering the others as if they were at odds with each other, began to spark.

It was obvious a malfunction would occur here, and soon the first lightning fell to the ground due to the tension turning into a mass brawl. The ice-blue energy arc falling onto one of the rods at a human height wandered among dozens of poles within seconds without staying there for long, and finally made its way towards the earth.

"Sir, the first trial of the Lightning Seed Field is successful!"

"We are waiting for more sampling to occur for a definitive result!"

The movements of the Lightning Element were explained in the report of the people who were obviously their subordinates, but meanwhile, the names of hundreds of people turning to charcoal were never mentioned. A soldier with gold stars on his shoulders, upon managing to survive, was running towards the small energy area where the people wearing researcher coats were to rebel against this situation.

"What do you think you are doing? My soldiers are dying, put an end to this immediately!"

The man, who looked in his mid-thirties, was a few steps away from reaching the people he shouted at. While shouting, he opened his mouth so wide out of ambition that all his teeth were visible, and after the lightning arc passing through him, they were the only things remaining of his body.

"Positive on the second trial!"

"Lightning Rain is starting!"

As it went one, two, when the number of the ice-blue executioners reached the tens, a death zone where escape was impossible appeared among the metal poles. Penetrating power aside, the speed of the attacks was so high that they wandered the area dozens of times until they lost their kinetic energies and returned to the earth.

"Lightning Seed Field trial has ended!"

"The number of fallen lightning is eighty-three, the death rate inside the area is ninety-nine point nine percent!"

"There are two surviving targets!"

"One person is protected by an elemental energy field higher than the power of the lightning element. The other person managed to survive despite being the target of all the attacks!"

The blonde man watching the death of thousands of people with his hands in the pockets of his coat went crazy after the last things he heard. In a fit of rage, he took the devices in the hands of his subordinates and checked them one by one; if they had made a mistake, he could undoubtedly kill them, but when the result didn't change, he settled for coming to the end of the shield protecting them and looking at the blood-red creature ten steps ahead.
