Chapter 1 - The Full Moon Rule

# Chapter 1: The Full Moon Rule

An old palace stood proudly under the bright moonlight. Built in the style of an ancient royal mansion, it had been beautifully renovated with modern luxury. In front of the mansion stretched a large and beautiful garden, divided into two sections by a stone pathway that led straight to a huge black iron gate—the main entrance to the estate.

The mansion was known throughout the city as **Smith Mansion**.

Just hearing the name **Smith** was enough to make people nervous. The Smith family was one of the richest and most powerful families in the city. But behind the grand walls of their mansion were countless secrets that no ordinary person knew about.

It was exactly midnight.

Near the garden, three figures stood together, whispering among themselves.

"Hurry up! If someone sees us, we're dead!" Steve whispered nervously. He suddenly looked up, and his face turned pale. "Oh, crap! Guard Uncle is coming!"

"Oh, relax." Ivan smiled as if there was nothing to worry about. "Guard Uncle won't do anything as long as Danish is with us."

Danish folded their arms and raised an eyebrow.

"You two keep using my name, but what do I get in return?" they asked with a playful smile. "Fine, I'll distract Guard Uncle for you. But you have to promise me one thing."

"What?"

"When we come back, buy me an ice cream."

Danish winked at Ivan with a mischievous grin.

"Don't listen to Danish!" Steve quickly interrupted. "You know what Uncle Lewis will do if he finds out we bought Danish ice cream."

Ivan rolled his eyes.

"Steve, you already know what will happen if we don't distract Guard Uncle. Besides, this stupid security system still isn't opening."

Ivan sat on the ground with his laptop resting on his knees. His fingers moved rapidly across the keyboard as he tried to hack the mansion's security system.

Smith Mansion's security was extremely advanced. Breaking into it wasn't something an ordinary hacker could do. Only a true genius had a chance of getting past it.

The reason for all this trouble was simple.

Steve, Ivan, and Danish were trying to sneak out to the Rainbow Club without anyone finding out.

There was one strict rule inside Smith Mansion.

Whenever a full moon appeared in the sky, no member of the Smith family was allowed to leave the mansion.

No one knew why.

The three were still talking when a bright flashlight suddenly shone over them.

"Who's there?" a guard shouted as he walked toward them.

All three froze.

The color disappeared from their faces.

"Oh, crap! It's Guard Uncle!" Steve shouted. "Run! To the garage!"

Without wasting another second, he grabbed Ivan's and Danish's hands and started running.

Ivan barely managed to hold onto his laptop. One hand was holding it tightly while the other was being pulled forward by Steve.

Within moments, the three rushed into the garage.

They stopped for a second, breathing heavily.

Danish's face had turned completely red after all the running.

Steve quickly unlocked his car and practically pushed Ivan and Danish inside before jumping into the driver's seat.

"Ivan, I'm driving!" Steve shouted as he started the engine. "If that gate doesn't open, we're finished! And if we stay here any longer, the guards will catch us. So hurry up and open it!"

Meanwhile, guards from all over the mansion rushed toward the garage.

Walking behind them was **Mr. Lewis**, Danish's father.

The anger on his face was impossible to miss.

"Oh, no! Dad's here!" Danish cried the moment they saw him. "Steve, drive! Hurry!"

Steve didn't think twice.

He slammed his foot on the accelerator.

The car shot forward at full speed.

The guards quickly jumped aside as the vehicle raced straight toward the main gate.

Inside the car, Ivan's fingers flew across the keyboard.

Lines of code flashed across his laptop screen.

A few seconds later—

**Access Granted.**

The massive iron gates slowly unlocked.

"They're open!" Ivan shouted.

Steve didn't waste a second.

The car sped through the gate and disappeared into the darkness.

Behind them, Lewis stood frozen with anger.

His face turned bright red, and his eyes burned with fury.

"Everyone!" he roared.

"Go after them!"

Within seconds, ten black cars rushed out of Smith Mansion, chasing the three runaways through the dark night.

---

Far away from the mansion, Steve's car raced down an empty road.

For the first time, complete silence filled the car.

Steve kept his eyes on the road while Ivan and Danish quietly sat beside him.

Then—

**SCREEECH!**

Steve suddenly slammed on the brakes.

The tires scraped against the road, leaving long black marks before the car came to a sudden stop.

The impact threw Ivan and Danish forward, making both of them hit their heads.

"Ow! Steve, are you crazy?" Ivan complained while rubbing his forehead.

A painful groan came from the back seat as well.

Steve slowly turned toward Ivan.

His face had gone completely pale.

"Dude..." he said nervously. "We made a huge mistake."

Seeing Steve this scared confused Ivan.

"What mistake? Relax. Lewis uncle will probably punish us a little, that's all." Ivan leaned back comfortably and took another sip of his cold coffee.

"It's not like this is the first time we've sneaked out."

Steve quietly looked at him.

"Yeah..."

"But the last few times... we never brought Danish with us."

**PFFT!**

Ivan instantly spat out his coffee.

His eyes widened as he slowly turned toward the back seat.

Meanwhile, Danish was completely focused on eating a burger.

When she noticed both brothers staring at them with terrified expressions, she innocently hid the burger behind her back—as if Steve and Ivan were about to steal it.

She had completely forgotten...

...that Steve was the one who had bought that burger in the first place.

The two brothers fell silent.

After a long pause, Steve spoke in a trembling voice.

"Brother... let's just go home."

"I'll accept whatever punishment Lewis uncle gives us."

"Maybe... if we go back on our own, he'll go a little easy on us."

Ivan looked at him as if he had gone crazy.

"Are you serious?"

"You really think we can walk back home, say, 'Sorry, Uncle. We made a mistake. We won't do it again,' and he'll actually forgive us?"
