The shorter one stayed quiet for several steps. Finally he gave a short nod. "Fine. But the second something feels off, we pull back. No arguments."
They continued deeper in silence. After a while the taller one suddenly stopped. His hand shot out and pressed against a thick, dark trunk. A residual intent had locked onto him. His eyes lost focus as the memory pulled him under.
