Chapter 68 - Chapter 68: A New Ninja Village

Within the vast Land of Fire, on the smoke-filled Cloud Ninja battlefield, the once flat and smooth terrain was now unrecognizable.

As far as the eye could see, the ground was riddled with craters, as if countless giant beasts had trampled it, a shocking sight. The traces left by Ninjutsu everywhere were like hideous scars.

Among them, the most striking were the bottomless giant pit and the crisscrossing cracks in the center of the battlefield.

Bloodstains were scattered across the land, staining this area a chilling dark red, like a bloody and terrifying painting.

After a heart-pounding battle, the surviving Cloud Ninja were still in shock, standing blankly in place, gazing up at the now clear and bright sky, filled with relief and lingering fear from their narrow escape.

However, this brief tranquility was soon shattered. When that familiar black-clad figure reappeared like a ghost, everyone's eyes widened, their faces filled with undisguised terror.

At this moment, they had long lost the courage and will to resist, able only to watch helplessly as the dark figure approached step by step.

On the other side, Uchiha Kaede only stopped and dispelled his Susanoo after hearing his opponent concede.

Then, with steady and powerful steps, he slowly walked towards the Raikage's location.

Ai, who had lost an arm, was now utterly dejected, completely disregarding his usual dignified image as the Raikage. Like a deflated ball, he slumped directly onto the cold, hard ground.

He stared blankly at Uchiha Kaede, who was gradually approaching, a bitter taste filling his heart.

"You said you surrender, right?" Feng came before him, his Three-Tomoe eyes fixed on Ai.

"Konoha, how dare they attack you?" The Raikage didn't answer him, but asked another question.

"I represent the Uchiha now. I don't care about your affairs with Konoha. As long as you don't demand compensation from the Land of Fire, everything else is none of our business."

Feng said seriously, intentionally or unintentionally conveying their stance to the Raikage.

"I understand. We are surrendering to the Uchiha, not to Konoha." Ai nodded.

"Alright, I will send someone to discuss peace terms with you in a few days, in the name of the new Ninja Village."

"J-Jiraiya-sama, what... what should we do now?"

The Konoha Ninja who had witnessed the entire thrilling process from a distance finally came to their senses as if waking from a dream, but their bodies still trembled uncontrollably, and their voices were filled with fear and helplessness.

It was well known that their relationship with the Uchiha Clan had never been good. If their relationship had been harmonious back then, the Uchiha Clan would not have resolutely chosen to leave Konoha Village.

At this moment, even Jiraiya couldn't help but fall silent. Because just now, that terrifyingly powerful force, even for him who had activated Sage Mode, would likely have been impossible to resist in the slightest.

That aura was simply like the legendary Uchiha Madara returning to the world!

"Old man, Konoha Village is probably really done for this time..." Jiraiya muttered silently in his heart, his face filled with solemnity.

But soon, he forced himself to cheer up, his eyes sharp, and decisively issued an order: "Everyone, listen up! Return with me to the Konoha Great Camp immediately! At the same time, send people to the other two battlefields at top speed to truthfully relay what happened here. Furthermore, if you encounter that guy named Uchiha Kaede again, remember not to engage in prolonged combat, and immediately find every way to escape!"

With that, Jiraiya took the lead and sped towards the Konoha Great Camp, followed closely by the Konoha Ninja behind him.

In the temporary main hall of the new Uchiha territory,

"I think we should call it the Fire Ninja Village, after all, we're in the Land of Fire."

"No, no, no, how can it be called the Fire Ninja Village! We are the Uchiha Clan, so let's just call it the Uchiha Village!"

"Why don't you just call it Konoha! 'Uchiha Village,' indeed!"

After Feng defeated the Cloud Ninja and returned, choosing a name for the Ninja Village became the most important task.

The Daimyo's aid had arrived, bringing not only ample resources and funds but also a large group of artisans to help them build the Village.

Now the Uchiha's territory had been rebuilt, and the Village's streets and buildings were already taking shape. With economic policies and support, their development was incredibly fast.

It's estimated that even Konoha didn't expect that while they were fighting on the front lines, the Uchiha had almost built a complete new Village, although its scale was still far from Konoha's due to their small population.

When merchants and other residents arrive in the future, the entire Village is expected to expand much more.

"Cough, cough, cough!" Uchiha Setsuna, beaming, coughed a few times while watching everyone's discussion, signaling them to quiet down.

"Regarding the name of the Ninja Village, Feng suggested En'in Village!"

As the clan leader finished speaking, the Uchiha members were excited.

"Great! En'in Village is great!"

"This name perfectly embodies the essence of our Uchiha, after all, we excel at Fire Release!"

"As expected of Feng-sama! The names he comes up with are so profound!"

Ultimately, the name En'in Village passed with unanimous approval.

"What did you say?!" Hearing the news from Jiraiya, Hiruzen Sarutobi was stunned, thinking the person in front of him was lying.

But soon after, the entire Ninja World received news of the Cloud Ninja's defeat, and the bustling Ninja World fell silent.

Everyone was processing the news: the Uchiha defeated the Cloud Ninja? It was the Uchiha, not Konoha? A new Ninja Village was truly coming.

Many in the Ninja World were still half-skeptical after hearing the announcement from the Land of Fire's Daimyo. Konoha's position in the Ninja World was too deeply rooted; no one would easily believe that another great Ninja Village acknowledged by the Daimyo had appeared in the Land of Fire.

At the Iwagakure Great Camp, Kitsuchi said in a deep voice to all the high-ranking officers on the battlefield: "The Tsuchikage-sama has sent word for us to retreat immediately."

"What?!"

"Is it because the Uchiha defeated the Cloud Ninja?" Everyone was stunned, and someone quickly asked. They had naturally also received this news.

Kitsuchi nodded with a dark expression, and the group became boisterous.

They hadn't gained anything by coming here, and they were almost at the point where Konoha Village would surrender. Now they were being told to withdraw their troops?

"Retreat!!" Kitsuchi interrupted their clamor, stating decisively.

After the meeting, Kitsuchi walked out of the tent, where Kakuzu and Biwa Jūzō were standing outside.

"When does the next step begin?" Kakuzu asked indifferently.

"The plan has changed. We are preparing to withdraw."

"What?!" Both of them widened their eyes. You're retreating when you're almost winning?

The two of them had been with the Iwagakure, but no one in Iwagakure talked to them, and their organization didn't contact them, so they were unaware of the Uchiha establishing a Village, let alone the recent news of Uchiha Kaede defeating the Cloud Ninja.

Kitsuchi turned his face away. As the commanding general, he was more depressed than anyone, but he had to obey his father's orders.

"What about the rest of the money?" Kakuzu grew anxious, inferring that Iwagakure wasn't planning to pay the other half.

"The plan has been canceled. The half of the money I gave you is enough for one intervention."

"How can that be!" Kakuzu said, displeased.

"Then what do you want!?" Kitsuchi's tone carried a hint of anger.

After Kakuzu asked why they were retreating, Kitsuchi told them about Uchiha Kaede.

"Defeated the Cloud Ninja?!" Biwa Jūzō was somewhat astonished. In that case, they really should retreat; perhaps he would come here next.

"So what! You were just one step away from defeating Konoha!" Kakuzu was still complaining.

"Tsuchikage-sama has ordered it; we must retreat!" Kitsuchi looked at the displeased Kakuzu, and a thought suddenly popped into his mind.
