Travis has managed to stay away.
So much so that Day believes that the alpha won't come near him unless he is ready to talk.
Day is in the shower, head tipped back as he rinses his hair, because he didn't manage to wash himself after what clusterfuck that was yesterday.
So when he woke up at noon today, feeling gross, he decided that the first thing to do was to cleanse his body, and maybe get some food.
He hasn't looked at his phone, not wanting to talk or even remember that he is hurting, even though his heart won't chill.
It's jumping, anxiety-ridden, like there is something to be expected. One that he doesn't know about.
Either way, he ignores it all and chooses to let the water cascade down his body, hoping it will alleviate his mood.
The rain showerhead hits his face, and he sighs, closing his eyes and just staying like that, under it.
That's why he doesn't hear the door as it unlocks and someone starts getting upstairs.
