'I know that it's my selfishness to do this, but I really want the Pokemon experience of having my own starter Pokemon.' I thought to myself as I relaxed within my Yurt Hut.
After the village was completed most of my Pokemon went back to doing their own works again, the Fighting types went to find boulders to break and make their own crude styled statues, Tinkatuff began to work once again on her forge that we had brought over along with everyone else focusing on their challenges to get stronger, level up and finally be able to evolve at that.
Especially both Pupitar and Larvesta who had very struck requirements to evolve not only the fact of them needing much higher levels than usual to evolve.
Also since they would be needed several of my Pokemon relocated some of the many berry trees from the jungle into the open area around our village in order to make our own berry farm with the help of Steenee keeping the plants well vitalized.
And since it rained every few days we didn't need to constantly keep watch of watering them.
So with the village finished for the time being now I could look for starter pokemon, but looking at the Pokedex of every starter pokemon they all have very specific biomes they live in.
In the pokemon games it was extremely difficult to find the starter pokemon in the wild to the point that it was impossible, with the only way to get one would be if someone breeds their starter pokemon and trade the hatched egg to another player to get more than just one starter pokemon.
Reason was that the future pokemon league would basically domesticate the starter Pokemon breeds and have them securely bred and taken care of before they would be shipped off to the various regional professors to become the starter pokemon for new Pokemon trainers.
But since this is a time before that, in a world dominated by pokemon, these starter pokemon still exist naturally in their personal biomes.
But those biomes are rather specific to them overall, and some were a bit surprising to hear they live in that area, like Scorbunny a fire starter is known to live in snowy alpine regions.
But thinking about it again Scorbunny is a white rabbit and most white rabbits in nature have their fur color white to blend in with the snow around them so it wasn't too out of the norm but still.
"Speaking about starter Pokemon I'm more likely to find a fire type starter pokemon than any other." I say as I look through the list of pokemon and their natural habitats.
Bulbasaur, Cyndaquill, Torchic and Chikorita live in Grasslands naturally, Treecko lives in Forests, Squirtle, Totodile and Mudkip live by rivers, lakes and ponds, Charmander and Chimcar lives in Mountains, and Scorbunny lives in Snowy mountainous areas.
There are plenty of other areas that others live in but I'm not going to go heavily into detail but basically excluding some exceptions fire types live in warm areas, grass types in grasslands/forests and water types live in or around water.
I asked my pokemon if they had ever seen these pokemon, luckily the Pokedex makes pictures of every type of pokemon available for anyone to see.
But most just shook their head when they looked at all the pictures, all except for two of my pokemon.
"Mor! Mor!" Heatmor said as she grabbed the picture of Charmander and showed it off to me.
"You've seen a Charmander before?" I ask to which she nodded which made me smile.
"Vesta!" Larvesta also chimed in as they pointed at a picture of Scorbunny as well.
"You saw a Scorbunny as well?" I asked as Larvesta nodded.
I smiled even more before I went to pet the both of them, "Good job you guys." Which they smiled while enjoying being pet on the head.
"Mane?" (Why are you looking for these pokemon anyway?) Flutter Mane couldn't help but ask me.
"There's no real specific reason why I'd look for these pokemon like I did for the fighting pokemon along with the future fairy pokemon." I said shaking my head.
"Where I'm from when someone would begin their journey of the world they would be given starter pokemon to start of with, these pokemon would be with you for your whole journey and would be there until the end of that journey as well, You and Lopunny are both my real first pokemon, but starter Pokemon are…. Nostalgic to have is all, besides eventually I would go out and search for them at some point anyway so hearing about them not living to far away made me want to go out and see if they want to be apart of our tribe as well." I said rubbing both Flutter Mane and Lopunny's heads which made them happy.
Though I saw the looks Tinkatuff and Scolipede were giving so I started to pet their heads as well to make them feel better, including Steenee who, while I haven't done it yet because she wants to focus on getting stronger, was also my mate as well.
Several others looked like they wanted to be petted so I went around petting all of those that desired it before stopping as I pulled out several Pokeballs.
"Im going to take Roaring Moon, Larvesta and Heatmor with me to try and find them." I said to which those three agreed as I pulled them into their pokeballs before hopping onto Roaring Moons back.
"Tink! Tinka!" Tinkatuff ran over to me with her hammer in hand making me raise an eyebrow.
"You wanna come with?" I asked to which she nodded with Scolipede coming over as well making it clear she wanted to join along with several others as well.
"Sorry guys I can't take you all with me, I need you guys to stay back and protect the village while I'm away." I said to them to which some looked disappointed but they understood that they couldn't travel with me always since our home needs to be protected as it is now.
So with that said the Team of Roaring Moon, Heatmor, Larvesta, Tinkatuff, Scolipede and surprisingly Pupitar of all pokemon joined me on this exploration to the Western Mountain Range.
With a beat of Roaring Moons wings we headed off into the sky as we began our way to the mountain Range in order to find ourselves a Charmander and a Scorbunny.
Soon enough I will have some starter pokemon of my own.
