Candy dragged her fingers across Constant's chest, voice playful, sickly sweet.
"Mmm, Constant… just look at you," she purred.
"So strong… so easy to love…"
Constant jerked away, disgusted.
"Candy—stop—"
Blood Reaper froze.
Her eyes sharpened.
Her flames darkened.
Her breathing deepened.
The betrayal triggered something ancient inside her.
Dyren leaned in close behind her, warm breath on her neck.
"He will never love a demon like you," he whispered.
Blood Reaper's jaw clenched.
"He is so easy to manipulate…
anyone can have him."
Her flames turned pitch black.
Every demon within ten miles felt the drop in temperature.
Dyren smiled.
"Let go, little Reaper.
Let the monster out."
And she did.
Blood Reaper SCREAMED.
The earth cracked beneath her.
A shockwave blasted outward, knocking demons, mortals, cars, even buildings off balance.
People on the streets fell to their knees, clutching their children as the ground trembled violently.
Candy smirked at Constant.
"Oops. Look what you started."
Constant shoved her away so hard she hit a mailbox.
"You're done."
Then he turned—
and tackled Dyren with full force, driving him into the pavement.
Dyren laughed, rolling with him like he'd been waiting for this moment.
"Finally," Dyren hissed.
"You show teeth."
They began fighting—
violent, fast, wings slamming together, claws scraping, power exploding like fireworks.
But the real storm was behind them.
Blood Reaper's body twisted.
Bones cracked.
Flames erupted.
Black veins crawled up her skin.
Her shadow stretched long and monstrous.
Then—
She grew.
Taller.
Broader.
Darker.
Her feet burst into black HOOVES splattering molten tar.
Her skin turned pitch black, carved with glowing red cracks.
Her teeth elongated into a gnarled, predatory jaw.
Her tongue unrolled long and serpent-like.
Her wings spread out—
HUGE, dripping tar, the span wider than buildings.
Her face opened with many eyes, blinking independently.
Her horns twisted upward—
and a thorned halo wove itself between them.
Her nails grew long, curved, shimmering with demon-lust energy.
She became the nightmare every realm warned about.
The REAL Blood Reaper.
Veira turned mid-swing, froze—
and whispered,
"…oh shit."
Candy ran.
Kenna, silver wings flickering, fought desperately as Veira pinned her down with four legs.
Veira wrapped a leg around Kenna's neck, twisting it—
"I'm gonna pull your head off like a doll—"
She didn't get to finish.
Blood Reaper appeared behind her.
Silent.
Enormous.
Breathing like a hunting beast.
Veira looked up in terror.
"…oh no—"
Blood Reaper grabbed Veira by the back of her neck—
and SNAPPED IT with a single flick.
Veira dropped like a broken puppet, legs twitching.
Kenna gasped for breath.
The Reaper didn't look at her.
Her eyes burned with one target.
Candy.
Candy looked back—
And saw a demon deity charging at her with dozens of eyes, a thorn halo, and enough killing intent to crack the planet.
Candy SCREAMED.
"Oh NONONONONO—!!!"
She threw pink fog behind her—
but it evaporated instantly around Blood Reaper, who roared:
"RUN, LITTLE MOTH."
The roar shook every window in the town.
The ground shook.
Demons looked up at her in terror.
Even Satan's army backed away.
Constant and Dyren stopped fighting for one second—
because the air itself was vibrating with Blood Reaper's fury.
Dyren grinned, wings flaring.
"Oh… she is BEAUTIFUL."
Constant's heart broke.
Because Blood Reaper wasn't just angry.
She was hurt.
And she was destroying the world because of it.
"Reaper…" he whispered.
Dyren spit blood and laughed.
"She'll tear you apart before you say another word."
Constant ignored him.
Because beyond the death…
beyond the fear…
beyond the demon form…
He still saw her.
Blood Reaper slammed her hooves into the ground, cracking pavement.
Her tail lashed.
Her extra eyes blinked.
Her wings arched wide.
She leapt—
a massive, black-red monster—
straight at Candy.
Candy tripped over a mailbox screaming:
"NOPE—NOPE—NOPE—NOPE—NO—!!"
Blood Reaper loomed over her, drool sizzling on the ground.
Her voice came out layered, multiple voices, demonic and celestial:
"You should've run farther."
Candy fainted.
Blood Reaper reached for her—
and the world held its breath.
Blood Reaper stood over Candy, claws dripping, mouth open wide enough to swallow her whole.
Candy lay unconscious, helpless.
Reaper raised her arm—
ready to strike—
when someone appeared right in front of her.
Constant.
Breathing hard.
Terrified.
But unshakable.
He spread his arms, blocking Candy completely.
"Stop."
Blood Reaper froze.
Every one of her eyes widened.
Her tail split the pavement.
Her wings shook the buildings.
Her hoof cracked the ground beneath her.
"MOVE," she growled, voice layered with demonic wrath.
Constant stood taller.
"No."
Something snapped inside her—
not rage… but heartbreak.
She let out a shuddering scream of betrayal.
"YOU CHOSE HER OVER ME!"
The roar shook the earth.
Snow boiled off the ground.
People dropped to their knees.
Constant took a step forward.
"No—Reaper—I'm choosing YOU. I'm trying to stop you from doing something you'll hate yourself for—"
She cut him off with another roar, louder, more agonized.
Her eyes… hurt.
Her throat burned.
Her claws trembled.
And then—
Her massive body shrank.
Cracking.
Twisting.
Shrinking back.
Until she was in her normal form again—
eyes hollow
mouth trembling
heart shattered.
For once…
Blood Reaper looked defeated.
Dyren appeared beside her, wings flaring in the red ruins of the town.
He placed a hand on her back, gently but possessively.
"Let's go," he whispered.
Blood Reaper didn't even look at Constant.
She turned away
and vanished with Dyren into a burst of black fire.
