Chapter 235: 254. I Destroy the Blue Silver Emperor, You Destroy the Clear Sky Hammer
"You're right," Ah Yin said. "No matter how much I wished not to see that child, he was still the one I carried for ten long months. I shouldn't have redirected my hatred for Tang Hao toward him. But do you know what I went through after that?"
"After my sacrifice," she continued, "I was left behind as a seed of Blue Silver Emperor life. Then, a being of the Rakshasa took me away—he planted me in the back mountain of Saint Soul Village, forcing me to watch Tang San grow up, so I would know his true identity. He is from another world—the Tang Sect of Bashu. A thief who stole the secret arts of his clan, and after being discovered, jumped from a cliff to feign his innocence. When he entered this world, he possessed the body of the child I gave birth to—he stole my child's body for himself."
Ah Yin's eyes burned with hatred.
"You mean… Tang San isn't really Tang San? That he's a soul from another world inhabiting your son's body?" Xiao Wu asked, shaken.
Ah Yin stared coldly. "You've known him since he was six years old. Think carefully—did that thief ever act like a six-year-old child?"
Xiao Wu froze. When she compared the six-year-old Tang San to other children his age, the realization hit her like a knife.
"If that's true…" Xiao Wu remembered those early days—Tang San's strange remarks, the way he gazed at her with subtle desire, even at six—wanting to share her bed under the pretext of innocence. The more she thought, the more her stomach turned.
The image of Tang San in her mind began to distort—twisted, vulgar. To think that since the age of six in body—in truth, an adult soul had been scheming over her. She felt an overwhelming disgust.
Ah Yin's tone darkened. "But that's not all. What I despise most is that Tang San is the root of every tragedy that befell me. The Rakshasa God told me this: Tang San was created by the Asura God as a vessel for divine inheritance. The Asura God chose me as his mother and the Clear Sky Hammer as his divine weapon. That meant Tang San's father had to be someone between Tang Xiao and Tang Hao."
"If Tang Hao had claimed me simply out of love, I might have hated him—yes—but not with this kind of hatred. But love had nothing to do with it. Tang Hao knew exactly what it meant. He knew what that child represented—the power behind it, the benefits it carried. He wanted that divine inheritance for himself. So he took me by force, made me bear his son, and then watched as the child I birthed was possessed by a foreign soul. Even as we were hunted, he dragged me straight into the trap—just so I'd sacrifice myself to him, to become his ninth spirit ring. He used me to the very end. Such a vile, despicable, filthy beast of a man."
Bitterness twisted Ah Yin's face.
"But I ruined his plan," she said coldly. "In the final moment, before offering up my spirit ring, Tang Xiao appeared. I changed the target of my sacrifice—I gave it to him instead. Tang Hao's scheme—gone to waste."
Hearing this, Xiao Wu's eyes welled with red fury. "So that's why Tang Hao hunted down my mother… to take her spirit ring and bone?"
"This feud dragged your whole family in," Ah Yin said softly. "For that, I am truly sorry."
"No, Aunt Yin," Xiao Wu shook her head. "None of this is your fault. It's Tang Hao's fault. Tang Hao's—and Tang San's."
Lying in bed that night, Xiao Wu stared up at the ceiling. Memories of her mother filled her mind—moments of tenderness and laughter. Tears slid silently down her cheeks.
Then she remembered—the year she turned six, the day she met Tang San. If Tang Hao was truly his father…
A shiver ran down her spine. For all those years, she had lived and trained with Tang San—right under the nose of her mother's killer.
Panicked, she turned to Ah Yin. "Does that mean… Tang Hao already knows who I am?"
Ah Yin nodded gravely. "I'm afraid so."
"Th-then…" Xiao Wu's voice trembled. "Doesn't that mean he could kill me whenever he wants?"
"Calm yourself," Ah Yin said gently. "Tang Hao already has a full set of spirit rings. Even if he killed you now, he'd gain nothing more than a spirit bone. Think, Xiao Wu—why would he keep you alive?"
A spark of realization lit Xiao Wu's face. "He's keeping me for Tang San."
Ah Yin nodded. "Exactly. Tang Hao's plan is to keep you alive until Tang San is strong enough to absorb a hundred-thousand-year ring. Once that happens, he'll kill you and let Tang San take your spirit ring and bones. Or worse…"
"Or worse," Ah Yin said icily, "he'll repeat his old trick—make you fall in love with Tang San, and then force both of you into a desperate situation until you willingly sacrifice yourself to him."
"Despicable!" Xiao Wu shouted. "Utterly shameless! I would rather self-destruct than let that cur Tang San take my spirit ring and bones!"
Right then, Xiao Wu decided she had to escape. But as soon as she thought of leaving, her mind turned to Er Ming. Tang San was nothing to her now—just a worthless mutt—but Er Ming was her real brother. How could she abandon him to face danger alone?
Last time, when Gu Rong had appeared, Er Ming had been away, and Xiao Wu had managed to hide, escaping the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan's attention. But during the upcoming Soul Master Tournament, their exposure to Titled Douluo would increase greatly. The threats wouldn't just come from Tang Hao—but from many others as well.
No—she had to warn Er Ming. They needed a chance to flee.
Ah Yin, reading the thoughts in Xiao Wu's eyes, asked, "You want to run. But do you think Tang Hao would let you go so easily, when he's watching from the shadows?"
"Then what should I do?" Xiao Wu asked anxiously.
"Tang Hao won't act yet," Ah Yin said. "He wants your spirit ring for Tang San, but Tang San isn't ready. He can't absorb a hundred-thousand-year ring. For now, the safest place—ironically—is the most dangerous one."
"But what about other Titled Douluo in the human world?" Xiao Wu asked.
"That's simple." Ah Yin took out two immortal herbs and handed them to her. "These will conceal the spirit beast aura within you. No Titled Douluo will be able to sense your true identity."
"Also, staying close to Tang San gives you… opportunities," Ah Yin continued. "You and I share the same enemies—Tang Hao and Tang San. I will destroy everything Tang Hao holds dear. The Asura God may have chosen me to bear Tang San's divine inheritance, but as long as I live, that legacy will rot. As long as I exist, Tang San's Blue Silver Grass will remain nothing but that—grass. I will ruin one of his spirits, Xiao Wu. What about you? What will you do?"
Taking the two herbs, Xiao Wu's eyes flared with hatred. "Then I'll destroy his other martial spirit—the Clear Sky Hammer!"
