Chapter 160 - Chapter 160: The Queen Medusa

Chapter 160: The Queen Medusa

"What? A nine star Dou Huang fought against over a dozen Dou Zongs, killed some, severely injured others, and still survived? Brother, have you lost your mind?"

"I swear it's true! I saw it with my own eyes. Do you think I'd lie? If you don't believe me, go ask your sect master he was one of the people who got beaten up!"

"Forget it. If this were true and I went to ask the sect master, wouldn't he kill me for bringing it up? But still... I can't wrap my head around it. How could a nine star Dou Huang possibly achieve something so terrifying?"

"Heh, what I told you is only half the story."

At a tavern, two Dou Wangs sat drinking. The storyteller smirked as he continued.

"Do you know what happened next? That treasure even drew three Dou Zun experts to the scene!"

"Three Dou Zun? What kind of treasure could be so enticing?"

"I don't know exactly. But guess what happened?"

"Those three Dou Zuns couldn't catch the boy?" The other Dou Wang's face was filled with disbelief.

"Heh, I knew your imagination wouldn't be enough for this." The storyteller chuckled.

"Let me tell you the boy had two elders with him. With just a single move, they subdued one of the Dou Zuns! The Heavenly Serpent Manor Lord, the Venerable Fu Ding, and the Lion Remnant Sect Master were all instantly defeated."

"Brother, don't exaggerate. That's too much to believe."

"Who's exaggerating? I personally witnessed the Lion Remnant Sect Master's head roll off his shoulders! As for the other two Dou Zuns, they surrendered and pledged allegiance to that boy!"

"The Lion Remnant Sect Master is dead? That infamous tyrant? If you're spreading false rumors about him, you're dead if anyone hears!"

"I knew you wouldn't believe me. Just wait and see. In a few days, the Lion Remnant Sect will undergo a massive upheaval. A Dou Zun's death will shake the entire northwest continent."

"Could he really be dead? If so, what kind of terrifying strength did those two elders have? And where did that boy come from? My heavens..."

A Return to Familiar Lands

As similar stories spread across the nations bordering the Magic Beast Mountain Range, the subject of these tales Xiao Yan was soaring through the skies, a peculiar look on his face.

"After all this wandering around, I've ended up back near the Jia Ma Empire?"

Having flown tens of thousands of miles from the southern reaches of the Magic Beast Mountain Range to the northern extremes to gather the seven Ancient Scales of the Demon Saint, Xiao Yan now found himself close to Jia Ma Empire once again.

From his position, he was less than a thousand miles from the empire's capital. However, judging by the rainbow colored serpent guiding him, his destination lay elsewhere.

After flying another thousand miles, Xiao Yan noticed the air growing increasingly dry, and endless dunes of yellow sand stretched out beneath him.

"The Tagor Desert? Really?" Xiao Yan looked down at the boundless desert in surprise.

"So the Seven Colored Demon Saint's inheritance is hidden here? Does this have something to do with the Snake People Tribe?"

By now, Xiao Yan had been flying for three days. The rainbow serpent's initial pace was slow, but as they drew closer to the Tagor Desert, its speed began to rival his own.

Along the way, Xiao Yan passed through numerous desert cities, some built by humans, others by the Snake People Tribe. On the ground, he occasionally caught glimpses of alluring snake women, which stirred his curiosity about the tribe's queen even further.

The Ancient City Revealed

Half a day later, the rainbow serpent finally came to a stop in the middle of a barren expanse of desert. Xiao Yan scanned the endless sands with a puzzled expression.

Just as he was wondering what to do next, the serpent suddenly emitted a blinding light. The surrounding space rippled and began to twist violently.

"Rumble!"

Accompanied by the sound of space tearing apart, a grand and ancient city emerged from the sands, its vastness taking Xiao Yan's breath away.

Compared to the ruins left by the Yin Yang Evil Saint, this site was on an entirely different scale. The sprawling city was almost comparable in size to the Sacred Pill City itself.

"This place... Thousands of years ago, it must have been home to a magnificent civilization," Xiao Yan murmured, his eyes filled with awe.

From the center of the ancient city, a towering pillar of seven colored light erupted, piercing the sky. The light's brilliance dyed the heavens in hues of the rainbow, a sight so magnificent it left Xiao Yan speechless.

A Call from the Depths of Bloodlines

With the pillar's appearance, all serpent type magical beasts within thousands of miles instinctively raised their heads. The cold gleam in their slit pupils softened into reverence and yearning. Deep within their blood, they felt a summons.

It wasn't just the magical beasts. Every member of the Snake People Tribe scattered across the Tagor Desert felt an irresistible pull. Their blood boiled with longing and excitement, urging them toward the source of the light.

In the tribe's sacred city, the capital of all Snake People, the reaction was no less profound. The entire population turned toward the distant light, their hearts racing.

The Queen's Decision

At the center of the Snake People's sacred city stood a magnificent palace. Inside, a stunningly beautiful snake woman gazed toward the source of the light.

Draped in a luxurious purple robe that accentuated her alluring curves, her long, silky black hair cascaded over her shoulders, reaching her slender waist. The robe parted to reveal a section of her violet scaled tail, which swayed rhythmically, exuding wild and exotic charm.

"This overwhelming bloodline summons... Could it be the relic of an ancient Snake People powerhouse?" The queen's long, narrow eyes gleamed with excitement and apprehension.

Outside the palace, over a dozen powerful auras had gathered. Four elders of the Snake People stepped forward.

"Your Majesty!" the elders called in unison.

The breathtakingly beautiful woman before them was none other than Queen Medusa, renowned across the desert and beyond for both her beauty and her fearsome reputation.

Hearing the elders' voices, Queen Medusa gracefully emerged from the palace, her movements mesmerizing.

"Even you four elders were moved by this?" she remarked, her elegant brows arching slightly.

"Your Majesty," one of the elders, a venerable woman, replied gravely, "this bloodline summons can only come from a truly ancient powerhouse of the Snake People or a supreme serpent type magical beast. Based on its intensity, this individual's strength in life must have surpassed the Dou Zun level."

The elder continued with a hint of urgency,

"If our tribe can obtain this inheritance or receive aid from this relic, it could be the key to our resurgence!"

"I understand, Elder. Such an opportunity is not to be missed." Medusa's long lashes lowered as she pondered for a moment. Then, her ruby red lips curved into a determined smile.

"This opportunity belongs to the Snake People Tribe. I will personally seize it!"

With those words, Queen Medusa's violet scaled tail flicked elegantly, and she set off toward the distant light.
