Chapter 125 - Chapter 125: One Slap for Each

Chapter 125: One Slap for Each

In the distance, the mercenary team emitted a thick stench of blood. Many burly men bore fierce expressions, their fatigue evident, and their bodies exuded a sweaty odor.

Yet amidst this blood soaked group was a striking figure dressed in white a slender, tall young woman in her early twenties.

Her long, silky black hair cascaded to her slender waist, and her clean, fair face radiated a gentle and pure aura. Among this rugged group, she resembled a lotus blooming in muddy waters.

"I like angelic girls," Xiao Yan murmured, recalling a phrase often spoken by a certain star from his past life.

Unlike the seductive allure of Ya Fei or Yao Ye, or the dazzling presence of Yun Yun and Nalan Yanran, this girl had a quiet, soothing charm that warmed the soul with just one glance.

She was a rare beauty, and her ethereal temperament made her even more captivating.

"Unsoiled by mud, and untainted in purity."

The phrase seemed to describe her perfectly.

A sly grin appeared on Xiao Yan's face as his gaze lingered on her slender waist.

"Though… a bit flat," he muttered to himself with a chuckle.

Just then, a familiar looking man standing beside the girl caught Xiao Yan's attention.

"That sycophant seems familiar," he mused but couldn't recall who it was. Not that it mattered; nothing would stop him from making his move.

Ignoring the stares from the shopkeeper and the middle aged man he had been speaking to earlier, Xiao Yan confidently strode toward the girl.

"Hello, my name is Xiao Yan. May I get to know you?"

The middle aged man gaped in shock. Is this kid insane?

"Did I just accept money from a walking disaster?" the man thought, his face twisting with regret.

Around them, the mercenaries were equally stunned, but their initial surprise quickly turned into rage.

Within this group, Xiao Yi Xian held a special place. Some viewed her as a little sister, but most idolized her as their goddess. Now, a clueless boy dared to approach their angel?

Many felt the urge to break this pretty boy's legs.

Xiao Yi Xian seemed momentarily taken aback but soon wiped the sweat from her forehead, offering a soft smile that radiated warmth.

"Just call me Xiao Yi Xian," she said gently.

"What a beautiful name," Xiao Yan replied, flashing a warm, disarming smile.

This girl reminded him of his high school crush his "white moonlight." Back then, his feelings mirrored those of the mercenaries now: an admiration from afar, tinged with reverence.

But in this new life, Xiao Yan wouldn't let such a treasure slip through his fingers.

A cold voice broke the moment.

"Kid, what do you think you're doing with Xiao Yi Xian?"

The speaker was a handsome man who stepped out of the group, flanked by several lackeys. It was the sycophant from earlier.

"Oh, nothing much," Xiao Yan replied with a grin. "This young lady is so beautiful I just wanted to get to know her."

Many mercenaries glared at him, their eyes practically spitting fire.

"You brat!" the man sneered. "I suggest you back off. The White Lotus of Qing Shan Town isn't someone you can taint."

He smirked, his tone turning icy. "Walk away now, and I might spare your life. Otherwise, you'll learn how you die."

Slap!

The words barely left his mouth before Xiao Yan's palm struck his face.

The man spun three times on the spot before stumbling, his expression a mix of disbelief and humiliation.

"You're dead!" he roared, summoning his Dou Qi in a fit of rage.

Slap!

Another resounding smack sent him flying, a spray of blood and broken teeth marking his trajectory.

"And who do you think you are to speak to me like that?" Xiao Yan sneered, his eyes cold.

The mercenaries froze, stunned by the sight.

No one had ever dared humiliate Mu Li, the young master of the Wolf Head Mercenary Group, like this. Yet here was a boy barely sixteen, swatting him away like an insect.

"Kill him! Cut him down!" Mu Li yelled hoarsely, pointing at Xiao Yan.

His lackeys charged forward, weapons raised, their faces twisted into feral grins.

"You dared offend the Wolf Head Mercenary Group. You're as good as dead, kid!"

Slap! Slap! Slap!

Xiao Yan didn't even bother drawing his weapon. With a flurry of slaps, he sent the men spinning like tops before they collapsed unconscious.

Mu Li gawked in horror, the color draining from his face.

His henchmen strong enough to give even Dou Fighters a hard time were incapacitated with a few slaps.

The surrounding mercenaries were equally shocked. The boy was terrifying.

And he was only fifteen or sixteen years old! What level of talent was this?

"Such strength…" someone muttered, their voice trembling.

In a world where strength commanded respect, Xiao Yan's display earned the awe and fear of the crowd.

"I'm joining this mercenary team. Any objections?" Xiao Yan swept his gaze across the group.

Not a single soul dared speak.

Satisfied, Xiao Yan turned back to Xiao Yi Xian, his expression softening.

"Apologies for my rough behavior earlier. Did I frighten you?"

"No… not at all," Xiao Yi Xian stammered, shaking her head.

Her eyes betrayed her astonishment.

At his age, Xiao Yan had already reached a strength that placed him far above seasoned mercenaries. His talent was nothing short of terrifying.

The middle aged man who had tried to scam Xiao Yan trembled uncontrollably.

"I thought he was just a harmless kitten. Who knew he was a tiger?"

He stepped forward nervously, holding the bag of coins Xiao Yan had given him earlier.

"S sir, here are your coins."

"No need." Xiao Yan waved him off. "Consider it a reward for helping me meet such a lovely girl."

The man bowed deeply, then bolted as fast as his legs could carry him.

Meanwhile, the mercenaries remained uneasy.

They could all see it the young, powerful boy was clearly infatuated with their "White Lotus."

A collective sense of dread settled over them.
