Chapter 226: One-Shot Knockout, Ochoku (Wang Zhi)Defeated!
On one side of the square, Ochoku (Wang Zhi)and Kyo (Silver Axe) stood dumbfounded, staring at the scene before them.
"How is this possible?"
"That green-fork bastard used to be a useless follower behind the Blue Demon!"
Ochoku (Wang Zhi)still couldn't believe it. He and Kyo (Silver Axe) 's subordinates were wiped out in a single move. Among them were a few Vice Admiral-level fighters with above-average Armament Haki. And yet…!
"Four years ago, that guy was so weak even the Blue Demon didn't want to bring him to Hachinosu Island!" Kyo (Silver Axe) 's pupils widened in shock. "It's only been four years, and he has this kind of power now!"
Even that green-fork bastard has such strength, meaning that female giant must also not be underestimated.
Ochoku (Wang Zhi)and Kyo (Silver Axe) exchanged glances, reading the seriousness in each other's eyes. But it was only seriousness—they'd been through countless battles. Fear wasn't in their vocabulary.
"Let's go!"
Ochoku (Wang Zhi)stared coldly at Akatsuki. "That female giant is mine."
"Fine!"
Kyo (Silver Axe) had no objections. He too was angry. That female giant had looked at Ochoku (Wang Zhi)like he was prey just now.
He was also furious—Tucker was now staring at him with blatant contempt.
"This bastard!" Kyo (Silver Axe) charged at Tucker in a rage.
Ha! Tucker laughed and, having been watching him closely, instantly teleported to Kyo (Silver Axe) 's rear and slashed with a hand blade.
Clang! The two figures passed each other in a flash. A spray of blood bloomed.
Thud! Kyo (Silver Axe) continued his forward charge and smashed into a pile of rubble.
"Kyo (Silver Axe) !!"
Ochoku (Wang Zhi), about to charge at Akatsuki, froze, staring at Tucker in shock.
No way! This guy's strength is that terrifying? Injuring Kyo (Silver Axe) with one strike?
It wasn't just Ochoku (Wang Zhi)—surrounding pirates were even more shocked. That was Kyo (Silver Axe) ! A New World pirate on par with Golden Lion and Whitebeard, a survivor of the invincible Rocks Pirates!
"He was defeated just like that?!"
"And by some unknown guy, in a single strike!"
"That guy is definitely not simple!"
The watching pirates erupted in whispers, all amazed by Tucker's strength.
Tucker felt nothing—it was just an injury, not a defeat.
Bang! Bang! Kyo (Silver Axe) pushed away the stones on him and stood up. He touched his side—a long, thin gash appeared. The wound wasn't deep!
"That guy... suddenly appeared on my right side!"
That wasn't just speed—it had to be a strange ability. A Mythical Zoan type?
Kyo (Silver Axe) guessed silently. If it weren't for his decent Observation Haki and Armament Haki defense, he would've been cut in half.
He just had to be more careful and watch for that guy's sudden appearances.
"You're not coming? Then I'll go to you!" Tucker grinned and teleported above and behind Kyo (Silver Axe) , slashing downward with both hands.
Clang! Kyo (Silver Axe) blocked with his axe, but couldn't withstand Tucker's overwhelming power.
Boom! Kyo (Silver Axe) 's legs were driven deep into the stone floor!
"Bastard!"
Kyo (Silver Axe) was enraged. Even in a head-on clash, he was being overwhelmed. Veins bulged across his body, and he forced Tucker away with a mighty swing.
He leapt and charged again, this time triggering some kind of special technique. His strength rivaled Tucker's, and his Observation Haki barely kept up with Tucker's speed.
Clang clang clang...! Tucker's figure flashed all over the square. Kyo (Silver Axe) countered with quick responses. Their weapons clashed relentlessly, blasts of pressure shaking the air and sending clouds of dust swirling.
Seeing Kyo (Silver Axe) going all out but still unable to suppress Tucker, Ochoku (Wang Zhi)panicked.
"I'll take care of you first!"
Ochoku (Wang Zhi)charged at Akatsuki, clearly intending to defeat her quickly and then aid Kyo (Silver Axe) .
They hadn't expected that, even before the Blue Demon made a move, they couldn't handle his unknown subordinates.
As Ochoku (Wang Zhi)charged, Akatsuki's gaze sharpened, lightning sparking across her body, forming an armor of electricity.
No explanation needed—this armor mode was learned from Luo Han. As for her strength, it was time to test it.
Zzz! A flash of blue-white lightning. Akatsuki's figure vanished from her original spot.
"What?! She disappeared!" Ochoku (Wang Zhi)halted mid-charge, stunned.
A massive figure appeared above him—it was Akatsuki.
"Thunderstorm!" she cried, giving Ochoku (Wang Zhi)no time to react.
A fist larger than Ochoku (Wang Zhi)'s entire body came crashing down.
Ochoku (Wang Zhi)tried to raise his sword to block, but he was too slow. With Akatsuki's future-sight Observation Haki and lightning-enhanced speed, everything was under her control.
Boom! Her punch landed on Ochoku (Wang Zhi)'s head. The massive lightning force and condensed Armament Haki shattered his head's defensive coating.
Akatsuki then smashed Ochoku (Wang Zhi)into the square, her power burrowing him deep into the earth.
Boom! A violent thunderstorm erupted, rocking the entire island like an 18-magnitude quake. Seawater flooded in!
The wind pressure exploded next, sweeping like a hurricane. Pirates lucky enough to survive the lightning were flung into the air and came crashing down from hundreds of meters.
"Ah...! My leg, my leg is gone!"
"My hand... it's gone!"
"Old Ma, where are you!!"
Disaster struck. Only now did the onlookers realize the wisdom of the island's residents who had evacuated early.
If they had known spectating was this dangerous, they would've left too!
"Those bastards should've warned us!" the pirates grumbled, realizing too late how blinded they'd been by greed and ambition.
They'd never seen what true top-tier combat looked like—their feeble minds couldn't fathom such destruction.
"Holy shit!" Luo Han exclaimed on the Penguin, "Akatsuki's totally hacking!"
"Totally!" others nodded.
They didn't know what "hacking" was exactly, but they got the idea—Akatsuki was monstrously overpowered.
Luo Han remembered clearly: she had only had two years with the Thunder Fruit and Flame Aura. She'd just sparred casually with Ellis during that time—and now she could destroy an entire island in one blow.
Unbelievable. Are all the women around me this strong? Is this the main character's aura? Luo Han mused, then shook his head. At least Sister Aishi wasn't part of that package.
Four years later, the girl still had Big Mom–level physical strength but couldn't even awaken Armament Haki.
Clearly, her will was too weak. Luo Han now doubted the story about her surviving on a snake-infested island. Anyone who survived that should have unshakable will—but Aishi was comically fragile.
Below—
The square was in ruins.
Ochoku (Wang Zhi)lay in a crater, covered in blood, seawater beginning to submerge his round body.
Akatsuki floated in midair, her red hair drifting, her beautiful yet expressionless face framed by the shattered island. Like a conquering queen, it made people want to kneel before her... beauty.
And that exact moment was captured by a Den Den Mushi—marking the beginning of Akatsuki's bounty.
"Boss Lady!"
Tucker appeared beside her, amazed. "Your attack was insane!"
"Kyo (Silver Axe) —is he dealt with?" Akatsuki asked.
"Done!" Tucker said awkwardly. "Only because your attack caused him to slip up—I struck when he was vulnerable."
"Severely wounded, huh..." Akatsuki sighed. These humans were terrifying—taking that much damage and still alive.
Her Observation Haki picked up Ochoku (Wang Zhi)'s faint heartbeat. He wasn't dead.
Fine! One more strike should do it, she thought, gathering electricity for a Thunder Pillar, when—
"Don't kill them!"
Luo Han appeared and stopped her.
Akatsuki let the lightning fade, not asking why.
Luo Han didn't speak. His mental energy entered Ochoku (Wang Zhi)and Kyo (Silver Axe) 's spiritual worlds, infusing them with his divine will, planting the seed of submission born from fear of his strength.
It went smoothly. Near death, both men's spirits quickly evolved. Luo Han then implanted "absolute loyalty to Luo Han" deep into their souls.
It didn't stop there—on top of that, he planted loyalty toward Akatsuki as well.
This way, when they joined Akatsuki's crew, they'd obey her fully, freeing Luo Han to search for the lantern fish.
All this happened in an instant. Sensing the seeds taking root—
"Ellis, come down for a bit!" Luo Han called.
He teleported the unconscious Ochoku (Wang Zhi)and Kyo (Silver Axe) in front of him.
"Boss Luo Han!"
Tucker asked curiously, "You're recruiting them?"
Luo Han nodded. These two had just reached Admiral-level strength. Even though Akatsuki made them look weak, they were still formidable—otherwise, they wouldn't have guarded the strategic island for four years.
What Luo Han didn't know was that Golden Lion, originally planning to attack, changed his mind due to Luo Han and chose to ally with Ochoku (Wang Zhi)and Kyo (Silver Axe) , leading to their occupation of the island.
"What?" Ellis arrived, in a foul mood.
Clearly, Akatsuki had gotten under her skin—Luo Han could tell. But first, they had to save Ochoku (Wang Zhi)and Kyo (Silver Axe) before they died.
"Use your power to heal them. I want them on our side."
"More like control them," Ellis scoffed, but still created two small life energy orbs and healed them.
Soon, both men woke up. Seeing Luo Han standing before them, they trembled uncontrollably.
"Blue Demon...!"
"Blue Demon...!"
Their fear was evident. Luo Han didn't waste words. "Submit to me, or die."
Terror-stricken, the two instantly shouted, "Submit! We submit!"
To anyone watching, it seemed like Luo Han's overwhelming strength forced their surrender.
No one would guess—Akatsuki and Sora included—that it was mind control.
Thud! Thud! Cole and Sora landed beside Luo Han.
"From now on, Ochoku (Wang Zhi)and Kyo (Silver Axe) will join Akatsuki's crew!"
"Cole and Tucker, stick together for now. Once Cole's crew is ready, you can split."
Luo Han added, "Or not. Up to you."
Then he pulled out four seawater-made rings and handed them to Cole, Tucker, Akatsuki, and Sora.
"This little ring has positioning and alert functions. You know how it works."
"The main point is: Akatsuki, if you're ever in danger, break it—I'll come save you."
"It's too small!" Akatsuki hesitated. "It won't fit."
"Try wearing it on your finger," Luo Han smiled mysteriously.
She did. As it neared her finger, the ring grew to fit perfectly.
"Amazing!" Akatsuki smiled with childlike wonder, taking it off and putting it on repeatedly, watching it resize.
Hehehe! Her bright laughter rang out. Luo Han stared in awe—he never imagined such a cold, stunning face could smile so purely.
Everyone has a hidden side, Luo Han mused.
Above, the former Rocks warship descended to the shattered harbor.
"I'm not taking that ship. Whoever wants it, take it. Or leave it. There are plenty around."
Then Luo Han and Ellis flew back to the Penguin.
"We're off! See you next time!" his voice echoed. The Penguin soared into the sky and vanished.
Everyone waved, no sentimental goodbyes. After four years of living like this, they were used to it.
Habits really are terrifying.
Boom! Tucker's pirate ship landed on the sea. The crew officially split.
...
High above!
The cute Penguin-shaped Penguin ship raced toward Sabaody Archipelago under a conical psychic shield.
On the grass deck, Luo Han lay in floral shorts, sipping orange juice through a straw while Aishi peeled and fed him grapes.
Life should be this pleasant—but Ellis grabbed his hand and squeezed.
"Luo Han, you pervert!!"
"When will you teach me your perfect Armament Haki?!"
She was furious—despite her pleas, he just smiled and refused.
Akatsuki was already so strong—soon, Ellis might not even match her disciple!
"Sigh!"
Luo Han spat out grape seeds and sighed. "You really can't learn my perfect Armament Haki."
"You don't know that unless I touch it more!" Ellis insisted, confident in her talent.
Again with that line! Luo Han groaned. "My technique turns your willpower into dots, then lines, to fuse Armament Haki."
"Can your will do that?"
"..."
Ellis was speechless. What fantasy nonsense was that? Dots and lines of will?
She looked at him skeptically—clearly thinking he was bluffing.
Sigh! Luo Han rubbed his forehead. This scene had repeated many times. Ever since seeing Akatsuki's strength, Ellis had been begging to learn it.
He gave in. Raising his right hand, he activated his perfect Armament Haki.
"Here. Knock yourself out."
Ding ding ding...! Crisp sounds echoed across the ship as she tapped lightly with her own Haki.
"This is it! So strong—totally different from Captain Rocks!"
To Ellis, the sound of collision was the key difference. Others clanged like steel—Luo Han's was a crisp ding, like perfect metal.
"No wonder this guy dares send Akatsuki to conquer the New World. With this defense, few Devil Fruits could hurt him."
She couldn't imagine anything breaking through it.
Later, after several taps, Ellis sighed in frustration.
"Impossible!"
"With my willpower, how can I still not learn it?!"
"Last time, one tap awakened my Armament Haki!"
Looking back and forth between their Haki, she muttered—
"Maybe it wasn't hard enough!" Her eyes lit up.
She raised her hand for a heavy strike—
"Stop!" Luo Han quickly withdrew his hand and Haki.
"What!" Ellis fumed. "The force wasn't enough. One solid hit and I'll get it. You just don't want me to beat Akatsuki.
"You're biased! You give Akatsuki everything—even people to command and her own crew!
"You're just biased!"
Her rant became a one-woman trial, even Aishi 's gaze grew icy.
"I..." Luo Han nearly spat blood. All he did was give her a fruit—and Ellis trained her herself! Yet now he was the villain?
You forgot I gave you a Mythical Zoan Spirit Fruit rarer than Logia! And you say I'm biased?!
He glared at her, full of grievance, making her shiver.
"Fine, fine! You're not biased, okay?" Ellis huffed. "Just don't look at me like that!"
"Yeah! That's my exclusive look!" Aishi added with a glare.
"..."
Ellis and Luo Han exchanged looks and ignored her.
"So how do I improve my Armament Haki? I don't care—you're making me a new version of perfect Armament Haki!"
She pouted. "Last time it only took days. Do it again, and I'll unlock any pose you want!"
"Really?"
Luo Han responded reflexively—and instantly regretted it.
"Really! Ten days is enough. Hehe! I'll beat Akatsuki and show her—no student surpasses the master!"
Watching her bask in her fantasy, Luo Han sighed. She hadn't always been like this.
When did it start? Probably with the Human Origin Movement. Since then, she changed. Emotions intensified.
So the side effects of Devil Fruits really do exist. He used to think it was personality. But now, seeing Ellis like this, he believed it.
But... how do I create a new perfect Armament Haki for her? The inspiration for his came from a Poneglyph. Otherwise, even he wouldn't have thought of such a structure.
