Phei's gaze finally reached the missions gathered at the bottom of his Status Window, and the first one was enough to drag a long sigh from him.

The mission had sounded wonderfully straightforward when the System first presented it. Find the Original Progenitors tied to the Legacy bloodlines, subdue them and place them beneath his authority until the very beings who were supposed to become part of his reckoning instead became pieces of his own growing power. Kyle had already proved the path was possible, and looking at the mission purely from the perspective of rewards and future strength, Phei would have been an idiot to complain.
Unfortunately, people had an irritating habit of being attached to memories.
