"Right," Nicholas said dryly. "You did come back." His eyes kept darting to Soren. He was trying to smile at his husband, but Soren wasn't smiling back. Soren was watching the omega with an expression I had never seen on his face before.
"How was school?" Kastiel asked, and I could hear the lack of interest in his voice.
The omega's face lit up immediately, all traces of the earlier theatrics gone. "School was fun!" He clasped his hands together, bouncing slightly on his heels. "I enjoyed it so much. The classes were amazing, and my professors were so impressed with me, and I made so many friends. Everyone there was so nice."
"And no one complained about how insufferable you are?" Soren asked
I was startled. When did Soren get up? He had been sitting here just a second ago. Now he was standing right beside the omega, his arms crossed, his expression cold.
