"You didn't go to the same school with him. I did." Jamie shuddered dramatically. "The three of them were a year above me. From high school to university. I regret it so much. Every single day of those seven years, I regretted it."
"I was too young, and I am so happy," Phoenix said. "I can't imagine being in the same school with them."
"I kid you not when I say that the hallway would literally divide in two when they walked." Jamie's voice had taken on the cadence of someone telling a ghost story around a campfire. "People would press themselves against the walls. Some of them would actually go the other way, just to avoid being in their path."
I stared at him. "They did that?"
"And they didn't even notice," Jamie said. "They didn't care. They didn't think it was an issue, or if they did, they thought it was normal. Like of course people would move for them. Why wouldn't they?"
"That's—" I didn't know what to say. That wasn't the Kastiel I knew.
