Morning in the Ember Isles, Tyouro was already sweating. He hadn't stopped training his heat wave emission, and Griffin watched him while adjusting his hat.
"Let's go. Put your clothes on and the black cloak I gave you yesterday."
Tyouro smiled as he grabbed his clothes and the black cloak, already excited.
"Alright! I'm ready, Sensei. Oh wait… when am I going back to Reikosha Academy? I miss my friends now."
He raised his eyebrows, and Griffin cleared his throat. "After the meeting with my grandfather."
"Alright! I'm ready!"
In Reikosha Academy, Reji looked around before using his Reikou energy, but Yura suddenly kicked him.
"OW!"
"Who do you think you are, using your energy near a bomb? It might cause all the bombs to explode."
Kairo laughed. "Yeah, she's right!"
Reji glared at Kairo. "Hey, you weak guy, you're still E-4, right? Ha! I could beat your ass even without Yur-"
"OW!"
Yura stared at him coldly. "Don't call him weak when you're just a pathetic warrior student."
Kairo swallowed hard and whispered to Hero, "She's protective…"
"Yeah, she is… and she's scary…" Hero's legs were already shaking.
Kairo watched Yura and spoke, "Alright, let's focus on looking for the other bombs."
Meanwhile in Cindervale, King Leonard assigned his guards to go to the Ember Isles and destroy the village.
The guards immediately made their move. Meanwhile, Tyouro walked beside Griffin with a big smile.
"Sensei, I'm so excited! I think I'm going to get stronger than my friends! Hehehe… is that right, Sensei?"
Griffin adjusted his hat and spoke calmly. "Maybe. But they have a lot of potential, and they can develop their own abilities by mastering Reikou, Hikari, and Yami."
"If they master one of them, they can unlock secret abilities, but they have to understand and learn how to use them."
Tyouro's eyes widened as he smiled. "Woah! That's awesome… oh wait, how did they know their secret abilities? And like you… how did you know I have this heat wave emission?" Tyouro tilted his head, very curious.
Griffin sighed, adjusting his flintlock pistols. "I told you, my grandfather knows everything. He studies them, but guess what? He didn't do it alone, he taught kids too."
"He's the one who gives lessons at Reikosha Academy, and he knows history from millions of years ago. Besides that… he can create counter items. He's smart, even though all he does is read books. He's lazy, but still the best grandfather."
Tyouro stared at him for a moment. "Damn… he's really cool, I guess. Or maybe he actually is."
Griffin chuckled. "Tyouro… sometimes I wish I could be a kid again. Back then, you could feel happiness and freedom… but now things are getting dangerous. If only my grandfather had time travel…"
"I would go back to when I was born."
Tyouro swallowed hard. "Oh… Sensei, you're making me sad…" he pouted.
Griffin laughed. "Let's hurry now."
Suddenly, an explosion echoed along with screams for help. Tyouro turned toward the source, and Griffin looked in the same direction.
"Let's go. Someone is destroying the Ember Isles. We have to save them!"
Griffin jumped from one rooftop to another until he reached the explosion site. Tyouro ran forward, enhancing his speed using Reikou energy.
Griffin paused when he saw the Sacred Crown royal guards. "What the hell… are they doing?"
Tyouro stopped, his eyes widening as his face turned angry. "No way… I can't believe it's the Sacred Crown royal guards…"
He jumped up, using fire from the ground to launch himself, then flew toward the guards and blasted them with his energy. Griffin followed, moving to save the people.
Tyouro attacked while dodging their strikes. "Wait… aren't you the guards who destroyed Dragonbone Ridge 20 years ago?"
One of the guards glared at him. "Yes. How did you know?"
Tyouro's face turned serious as he looked at him coldly. "Then you destroyed the wrong place."
He blasted him and punched the others.
"AHHH!"
"Right now, I won't let you do that again. You destroyed a man's life with his wife… you know what?"
"What?"
"You're nothing but useless sons of b*tches."
"HOW DARE YOU!"
Tyouro dodged their attacks and burst flames around them. These guards… they were truly cruel. I thought King Leonard was kind… but he's fake.
No matter what, I won't let them do whatever they want. I want to protect the world, my family, and my friends.
Tyouro's eyes ignited with fire, then-
Boom.
He used his heat wave emission perfectly. Griffin rushed toward him and smiled.
"You did it perfectly. Now help me save these people."
Tyouro nodded, glancing at the guards' bodies, still angry deep inside. Then he smiled wider.
"Alright, Sensei!"
In Cindervale, the king shouted angrily at how stupid his guards were. He stood up and made a decision.
"Everyone listen! Right now, we're going to capture Mr. Fushi Simon. Kidnap him without anyone knowing, and if someone finds out, we're dead."
"We're going to force him to create powerful energy, and if he refuses, we'll announce it in front of everyone. If they don't surrender, we'll kill Mr. Fushi."
The guards nodded. "Yes, Majesty."
Suddenly, two guards' bodies reacted strangely as their right arms lifted unnaturally, as if something was inside them.
Ishika emerged from their skin and kicked them away. Kimimaru stepped out as well, holding his zweihander. Ishika looked at King Leonard as she adjusted her gloves.
"You think you can get what you want? An idiot king with a childish mind."
Kimimaru glanced at her. "Hey."
King Leonard's eyes widened. "Y-you… attack them!"
The guards rushed forward, but Kimimaru jumped and sliced them in half. Ishika moved through bodies, injecting poison as she went.
The guards attacked again, but Kimimaru dodged and stabbed them, while Ishika kicked others aside.
Kimimaru looked at King Leonard. "You're the one who ordered the destruction of Dragonbone Ridge, right? Do you know Kagetsu Yoshiro?"
King Leonard stumbled back. "W-what are you talking about?! You don't know anything!"
"I know enough. You'll pay for it. Dragonbone Ridge was destroyed by Kagetsu Yoshiro… the man who would erase everything just for his wife."
Kimimaru tried to rush forward, but Ishika stopped him. "Better if we make him suffer fi-"
"No."
A voice cut her off.
They turned and saw Sensei Shougo.
"I won't let you do that to the king."
Kimimaru and Ishika's eyes widened. "S-sensei?!"
"Go back to Reikosha. I'll handle him."
Ishika looked at Kimimaru and nodded. They both left.
Shougo stepped closer to the king. "King Leonard…"
His face darkened as he punched him.
"Betraying us after 17 years?"
"N-no… I'm not! It was my guards! They shouldn't have followed my order!"
"Shut up! You think you can make excuses? No!"
He grabbed his collar. "You're a fake… a monster. I don't even know why your guards fear you when you're this weak."
"H-how dare you…"
"No, how dare you act like you did nothing wrong!"
Shougo punched him again and again, wanting him to feel pain.
Then Shougo looked down at him with disgust. "Hikari."
A light aura surrounded Shougo as he struck again.
"Do you know how Hikari works? It's light energy. It makes you suffer more without killing you. You're a lucky bastard… it's more powerful than you think. It increases speed, strength, and stamina."
"Goodbye, King Leonard… for pretending to care and betraying everyone."
The gates opened, and people rushed in, shouting at the king as they surrounded him.
Meanwhile, back at Reikosha Academy, the students finally found another bomb.
"Man, I'm so good at finding bombs."
"Yeah, yeah, sure. You're definitely going to be the best warrior."
Behind them, Kairo looked at them in disgust. "Weird… I'm better."
"Hey, don't compare yourself when you're still E-4!"
"Ha! My rank will go higher. I could beat you too."
Reji laughed. "Stupid… you're just an idiot, Kurosawa Kairo."
Kairo rolled his eyes and punched him.
"POW!"
"OW!" Reji glared at him and punched him multiple times. "Idiot."
Yura watched them, then turned and saw Kimimaru and Ishika returning. She raised her eyebrow and walked toward them.
"What happened?"
Ishika smirked and leaned closer. "We handled it. Killed his guards… well, almost. Shougo took care of the rest."
She leaned closer and whispered something into Yura's ear.
Yura blushed slightly and laughed softly. "Is that so? That's sweet. Anyway, take care of him."
She glanced at Kimimaru. "Maru, take care of Ishika too. Bye~"
Kimimaru's eyes widened slightly, and he looked away, clearing his throat. "Yes…"
Ishika patted his shoulder. "Thanks for your help, big boy."
Kimimaru glared at her and walked away.
