Bella Acker felt a hollow ache in her heart; all she wanted now was to escape from here quickly.
"Wait!" Damian Sinclair suddenly sat up and grabbed her wrist. "It's not what you think."
Bella turned to look at him, "Not what I think? Is it that Mrs. Sinclair didn't ask you to marry Cecilia Lynch, or is it that you didn't sleep with Cecilia Lynch?"
Damian watched tears welling up in her eyes, unsure of how to respond.
Because his mother did mention him marrying Cecilia Lynch, and the day he woke up drunk, Cecilia Lynch was in his bed, but he couldn't remember what happened that night.
Damian frowned in frustration; the original issues hadn't been resolved, and now new problems emerged, which weren't easily fixable misunderstandings.
Bella gave a bitter smile and reached out to pry his fingers off her wrist. "Let go!"
"No!" Damian said coldly, "I won't let go!"
