In the aquarium by the side of the terrace, the oxygen pump made faint bubbling sounds as four or five goldfish wandered leisurely among the water plants.
Rachel Sinclair looked up at Serena Stanton in surprise. "How did you know? Do you know Elijah Grant?"
As soon as she asked, she suddenly remembered Adrian and realized, "Oh, you're with Mr. Shaw now. He must have told you, right?"
Adrian Shaw was quite close to Elijah Grant, so it wasn't surprising that Serena knew.
"No," Serena said. "I lived with the Grant Family for a while."
To be honest, Serena hadn't wanted to know, but she had witnessed similar things with her own eyes.
Back in her senior year of high school, she once saw, on the way home, a pretty girl scolding Elijah Grant for being heartless one moment, and the next moment, Elijah was asking if she wanted to be with him. Not long after, Serena saw them appearing everywhere as a couple.
Rachel responded, "So you were the girl student sponsored by the Grant Family."
