Konohagakure no Sato :
The Hokage Office : Afternoon ( Day One of Chunin exams )
The afternoon sun hung heavy over the Hidden Leaf, but inside the Hokage's office, the air was thick with something far more oppressive than heat. Ever since Naruto's debrief the previous evening, the room had become a permanent war room.
The Hokage , the village elders, and Tsunade had barely left the Office .
Hiruzen Sarutobi sat behind his massive desk, buried in a mountain of logistics. Beside him, Tsunade was being forced to endure a crash course in administrative leadership. As Hiruzen calmly explained the nuances of cross-referencing sensory reports with gate manifests, the heavy office doors were practically kicked off their hinges.
BAM!
The ANBU guards shifted instantly, hands on their blades. Hiruzen and Tsunade tensed, their eyes snapping to the door. They relaxed for a split second when they saw the familiar faces of Shikaku Nara, the Jonin Commander, and Inoichi Yamanaka, the Head of Intelligence.
But that relief died a quick death the moment they saw the expressions on their faces. Shikaku & Inoichi looked like They'd seen a ghost.
"What happened?"
Hiruzen stood up immediately, his voice sharp. He knew these men; if they couldn't keep their "Shinobi Composure," the news wasn't just bad—it was as problamatic as his Paperwork.
( ....Ugh My back..... just 2 months ....just give me peace for two mothes .....O sage Of 6 Paths )
Without a word, Inoichi stepped forward and handed a scroll to the Hokage. Hiruzen unfurled it, his eyes scanning the lines of text. As he read, his knuckles turned white, the parchment crinkling under his grip. He finished the report and sank back into his chair, looking every bit his age.
(My Mistakes , My sins.... they really have come back to haunt me, haven't they?)
He sat there, paralyzed. This news shouldn't have been such a shock—he knew the risks—but yesterday's report from Naruto about Suna and the Jinchuriki had already pushed him to the edge. This was the tipping point.
"Give me that," Tsunade barked, snatching the scroll from the Hokage's frozen fingers.
The elders, Koharu and Homura, looked on in bewilderment until Shikaku and Inoichi handed them duplicate copies. The room fell into a terrifying silence as they all began to read. One by one, faces turned ashen.
But Tsunade didn't finish reading but reacted first as soon as she saw the name in that report.
BOOM!
"THAT CREEPY BASTARD!"
The Hokage's desk shattered under Tsunade's fist. Splinters flew everywhere as her rage boiled over. The word Orochimaru had acted like a detonator.
The elders scrambled back, shielding themselves from the debris. Shikaku and Inoichi simply sighed, used to the Sannin's temper.
( Should we order Back-up tables before she took Office )
"Calm yourself, Tsunade," Hiruzen said, though his voice lacked its usual strength. "Patience and composure are the primary requirements for a Hokage."
"Tch! Shut up, old man!" she snarled, her eyes wild. "If it wasn't for your soft-hearted—"
"Tsunade, mind your tongue," Koharu interrupted sharply.
Tsunade clicked her tongue in annoyance but went back to the scroll. As the elders finished the report, their fear was suddenly replaced by a strange, jarring sense of awe.
" Hoho, Not bad ...that kid is really something "
" Is this report , right ?? "
"Unbelievable..." Homura muttered, leaning in. "That brat actually pulled this off? This is... incredible."
Even reading it a third time, no one in the room could quite process it. If this report hadn't come directly from the two Jonins assigned to tail Naruto, they would have dismissed it as a hallucination. But the facts were there, written in cold ink. The last part of the report, however, was what really stuck in their throats.
"Can anyone explain to me how Uzumaki Naruto became this powerful?" Homura asked, his voice shaking slightly.
"Was he hiding his true strength this whole time?" Koharu added, looking suspicious.
Inoichi shook his head. "Impossible. He's been under 24/7 surveillance since he could walk. He wasn't hiding anything."
"But look at this report!" Homura pointed at the parchment. "The kid burned Orochimaru to ash. He neutralized a Sannin!"
"Let's be realistic," Shikaku chimed in, his tactical mind already churning. "Without a corpse to verify, we shouldn't assume he's dead. Orochimaru is like a cockroach."
"And what about these blue flames?" Hiruzen asked, his brow furrowed. "The report says they were hot enough to melt stone. Naruto never mentioned a technique like this to me. Do any of you know anything?"
Shikaku and Inoichi rolled their eyes inwardly.
Leave it to the Hokage to stop worrying about the traitor and start obsessing over his surrogate grandson's new toys. They didn't have an answer, but luckily, someone did.
"Oh, that? Yeah, I knew about that," Tsunade said dismissively.
The room let out a collective sigh of relief. The elders relaxed their shoulders.
"Good. At least he wasn't keeping secrets from the village leadership," Koharu noted.
"So, what is it, Tsunade?" Homura leaned forward. "A hidden Bloodline Limit? Some secret technique or something else ?"
Tsunade's eye twitched. She looked around the room, realizing that even the Jonin Commander and the Hokage were looking at her like curious children. She shook her head, feeling a headache coming on.
"It's the breathing technique that We worked on together.....before "
"Breathing?" Koharu blinked. "How does breathing produce a Fire Release of that magnitude?"
Tsunade's eye twitched again. She realized these people really didn't understand or remember Breathing Technique's fundamentals
"God, you're all so dense," she groaned. "It's simple. You breathe in a massive amount of oxygen, compress it to the extreme within the lungs, ignite it with chakra, and spit. There. High-pressure combustion. Happy?"
The group shared a look. The explanation was incredibly blunt and sounded borderline suicidal for the user, but they got the gist of the mechanics.
Once the curiosity was sated, Tsunade's expression turned dead serious again. "Are we really going to keep talking about the kid, or are we going to deal with the fact that Orochimaru is currently in Village or even our backyard?"
The atmosphere instantly shifted back to professional gravity. The higher-ups began a rapid-fire discussion on village security. While Naruto wasn't the main topic, his involvement was unavoidable.
"Should we pull Uzumaki Naruto out of the exam?" Homura suggested.
"Rejected," Koharu snapped. "This is the Chunin Exams. We don't know the extent of Suna's movements yet. Naruto is the perfect obstacle; his presence will force them to reveal more."
"I agree," Inoichi added solemnly. "The boy has dropped two major bombshells in forty-eight hours. Since he's mastered the Hiraishin, he has a way out if things get too dire. We shouldn't worry about his safety."
"You old hag!" Tsunade slammed her hand on the office walls "Naruto is a child! And he has two other children with him! Are you actually serious right now?"
"That is what it means to be a shinobi, Tsunade," Koharu replied coldly. "And why are you so worried? He has two Jonin guards shadowing him."
"Tsunade, you need to see the bigger picture," Homura added. "We need information for the greater good of the village."
"But they're kids!"
"They are excellent shinobi of the Leaf," Hiruzen countered, his voice firm. "All missions carry the risk of death. With them in the field, we can draw the snake out of his hole..... again."
"Exactly," Koharu nodded. "If it weren't for Naruto today, we wouldn't even know Orochimaru was involved. He's our best asset in this situation "
" Nonsense , The kid is injured , didn't you read the extent of his injuries ?? "
" But he learned Medical Ninjutsu under you , his life shouldn't be in any danger "
" yo---"
" alright , let's write back and leave this decision to Naruto himself "
"....."
" I know that brat , Becoming Hokage is his dream , he won't give up chunin exams , Old man "
"...Then Tsunade , how about you go become judge in the preliminery round "
" ME....??? Judge ? "
" Hm , You can also check up on Naruto too "
" ..alright , that works "
Nara shikaku cleared his throat, breaking the tension. "Hokage-sama, considering the threat level of Orochimaru and the uncertainty of Suna's stance, perhaps it's time to call for Jiraiya-sama?"
"Hmm. Good point," Hiruzen nodded. "Tsunade, contact Jiraiya. Call him back to the village immediately. Make sure to mention Orochimaru's presence. That will get him moving."
"Why me?" Tsunade scoffed. "You're the Hokage. Write your own letter."
Koharu practically roared at her. "Tsunade! Saru is grooming you to take his place! He's letting you handle this contact on behalf of the village for a reason!"
"...NONSENSE!" Tsunade shouted back. "The old man is just using me as bait to drag that perverted bastard back here!"
" TSUNADE ...!!! "
" OLD HAG ...!! "
The meeting room devolved into absolute chaos as the two women began shouting over each other. The men in the room—Hiruzen, Homura ,Shikaku, and Inoichi—all shared a look, shivered simultaneously, and had the exact same thought:
( I wanna go home ) X4

Forest Of Death :
MIdnight :
The earth shifted slightly as Naruto emerged from the soil, rising like a ghost into the midnight air. He didn't just rush out; he stayed low, sweeping his gaze across the twisted, moonlit shadows of the giant trees. Seeing no immediate threats or lingering Jonin eyes, he resisted the urge to recklessly trigger the Hiraishin to Karin's side.
Going in blind while half-broken was a great way to get them both killed.that's why He needed a real status check first.
(Alright, let's see the damage. Chakra is back to a hundred percent—that's the only silver lining. But the rest?) He did a quick mental scan, and the reality was a bit grim.
( Can't use any breathing techniques or put pressure on the lung. No Breath-style Ninjutsus, either. My left hand and shoulder are basically dead weight right now... and—)
He tried to shift his weight to his toes and nearly hissed out loud as a white-hot spike of agony shot up his calves.
(Fck. I totally forgot to heal my legs.)
In the frantic, high-stakes surgery on his chest and the sheer mental drain that followed, the memory of how hard he'd pushed his lower body against the Sannin had completely slipped his mind.
He'd been red-lining his muscles just to keep pace with the snake. Now that the adrenaline was gone and he was standing again, the bill was due.
( Seriously, thank God for the Uzumaki genes and the Fox's vitality.... Without them, I'd be crawling. But even with the healing, I feel like I'm waking up after the most psychotic leg day in the history of the gym. Everything is stiff as stone.)
He shook his head, forcing the discomfort into a small corner of his mind. He couldn't be perfect, but he could be ready. He began activating his combat sub-routines one by one, bringing his sensory net and reflexes online—the same sharp edge he'd used against Orochimaru, just without the breathing technique or the Chakra Burst Flicker.
Naruto reached into his pouch with his functional right hand, his fingers curling around the cold steel of his Black-silver Kunai. The weight was familiar. Grounding.
(Just hang on, Karin.)
He locked onto the distant, flickering anchor of her Hiraishin mark. The world around him began to warp and blur as he prepared to fold space.
*Blink*
And just like that, Naruto was gone. The forest returned to its oppressive silence, filled only with the distant, eerie sounds of the night.\

Team Hattori :
The Forest of Death: Night One
After a grueling day of tracking and combat, Team Hattori had finally secured both the Heaven and Earth scrolls. On paper, it was a success, but the reality was much grimmer. Tracking hadn't been the issue—with Karin's sensory abilities, finding targets was like shooting fish in a barrel. The problem was everything else.
First, there was the sheer bad luck of the draw. Even after dismantling three separate teams, they hadn't found the Earth scroll they needed until the very last encounter.
But the second, more lethal problem was their own arrogance and negligence. They had grossly underestimated the Forest of Death itself.
Shizuka and Gian had been Genin for nearly two years. Despite their high-tier skill sets, they were impatient, fueled by the desperate need to prove themselves in their first real Chunin Exams.
And in this hot-headedness The Whole Team was nervous , careless and Impatient .
Karin, by contrast, was a total rookie who had only returned to Konoha a year ago. Physically and mentally, she was still lagging behind the hardened standards of a shinobi.
Gian, typically hot-headed, was pushing himself too hard. He was haunted by the progress of his peers—even a guy like Nobita had managed to grind his way into a Chunin rank within the Police Force through sheer persistence & merits .
( I always thought Nobita would be a slacker for life, but he's already a Chunin... even Suneo got into the Admin Division. I can't fall behind.)
Gian wasn't fully focused on the environment, but it wasn't entirely his fault. Training under a man like Hattori had taught Gian to embrace his role as the "muscle." He had stopped overthinking and started relying entirely on his captain's orders.
And In the absence of Hattori sensei , the leader was shizuka and Since Shizuka wasn't calling for a halt, Gian simply assumed everything was fine.
And Shizuka—the team's tactical lead and powerhouse—was the most distracted of them all. On any other day, she was the disciplined captain even Hattori Sensei acknowledged .
But Today, she was a mess. She was tracking teams with an impatient, jagged edge, picking fights with forest predators for no reason, and ignoring the basic survival protocols of the terrain.
But it was not totally her fault , as She was haunted by yesterday's events , Her mind was a loop of the moment her "Prince" had approached her—the way he had looked at her, the weight of his hands on her body, the bold, possessive way he'd held her.
For a fifteen-year-old girl, it was the first time she'd felt that specific, intoxicating kind of attention, and it had come from her first love.
Her mind was spinning out of control. Every few minutes, she'd feel a phantom heat on her skin , and her heart would skip a beat.
(....My Prince...)
The sun dipped below the horizon, but Team Hattori kept moving. In their haste to finish the objective, they had committed a mistake in any wild Forest , much less forest of death .
they hadn't established a fortified base before nightfall. It was a trade-off—they had both scrolls now, but they were wandering blind in a predator's playground.
They moved through the canopy, tired and tense. They had spent more time fighting the local fauna than other ninjas—giant centipedes, panthers, man-eating scorpions, and massive snakes. If not for Karin's medical ninjutsu, they would have been forced to withdraw hours ago.
Everytime they found a spot , they were jumped by some animal , bugs in th forest . Now in mid-night , The team was tired and also desperate .
As they leaped from branch to branch, their eyes were fixed on the path ahead, causing them to completely overlook the jagged warnings etched into the tree trunks near the roots.
The territory marks were unmistakable: vertical claw gashes in the red pines, tufts of thick fur caught in the bark, and bite marks six feet off the ground. They were deep within the territory of something that didn't care about rank.
Suddenly, the night air shattered.
*ROARRRRRR!*
An earth-shaking howl erupted from the shadows directly in front of them. A massive silhouette surged upward from the forest floor, a giant limb swiping through the air with terrifying velocity.
(What?! We're seven meters up from ground ... how big is this thing?!)
(...What kind of monster is this?)
(So fast!)
The team scattered mid-air as the claw whistled past. They hit separate branches, drawing weapons as they stared at the beast looming in the dark.
(If we kill it and find its den, we can finally sleep,) Shizuka thought desperately.
It was a sound tactical decision for two experienced Chunin-level fighters, but they were missing a crucial piece of information. This beast wasn't a normal animal. Three years ago, it had stumbled and evolved into a genuine Chakra Beast. It had spent those years fighting for its life, growing exponentially in both power and intelligence.
And Now , It was a Jonin-level anomaly.
And Team Hattori had just challenged it to a duel , Shizuka and Gian engaged immediately, while Karin hung back to provide support.
"Fire Style: Great Fireball Jutsu!"
"Earth Style: Earth Spike!"
The beast didn't even flinch. It swiped its massive paw through the three-meter-wide fireball as if it were a mere nuisance, snuffing the flames instantly. The Earth Spike slammed into its chest, but it stopped dead against the creature's reinforced fur, failing to draw even a drop of blood.
"What?!"
"..No way!"
The nightmare began. Shuriken and kunai bounced off its hide like toothpicks. Their standard ninjutsu was either swiped away or ignored. The only thing that made an impact was Shizuka's Wind-Infused Chakra Blade, but even that only left shallow red lines on the beast's massive frame.
It was like trying to fell a elephant with a toothpick.
They tried to retreat, but the beast was deceptively fast. It wasn't agile, but its straight-line charge was a force of nature. Trees toppled like matchsticks as it bore down on them, cornering them against a rock face.
( How is this Beast sensing us so accurately in this much darkness )
Karin watched in pure horror as the beast smashed through an Earth Wall and backhanded Gian. The sound of his ribs snapping echoed through the clearing as he was sent flying into a tree. The beast didn't stop—it turned its gaze toward Shizuka.
Karin panicked. She had tried everything: explosive tags, kunai, even her Water Style Ninjutsus , Nothing worked and she even drew the beasts attention , Whenever the beast turned toward her, Gian or Shizuka would jump in the way to save her, but now Shizuka was alone and flagging.
( No ....Gian , Shizuka .....at this rate We are gonna die )
Desperate, Karin remembered the gift Naruto had given her—the Reinforcement Seal dagger. Without a second thought for reasons or whether he could actually arrive , she triggered the seal and prayed.
After that ,Karin scrambled toward where Gian had landed. When she saw him, her heart stopped. His chest was visibly caved in, and blood was pooling beneath him.
(With his chest like this, moving him will kill him... but staying here is a death sentence.)
*ROARRRR!*
The beast let out another deafening cry. Karin looked back to see Shizuka barely dodging a lethal blow. Gritting her teeth, Karin made a choice. She drew a kunai and sliced her own wrist, pressing the dripping wound to Gian's mouth, forcing him to swallow her blood.
She bled from one hand and frantically pumped chakra into the reinforcement seal with the other, praying for a miracle. Minutes ticked by in a blur of terror. Slowly, Gian's condition stabilized—his breathing grew less ragged, though he remained unconscious and chest still caved in .
(I have to get him out of here,) Karin resolved. (I'll signal Shizuka to withdraw...too )
She bit her lip, knowing Shizuka was too trapped—to run.
( Maybe , we should just withdraw from the exam itself ?)
She was about to reach for a signal flare when a sudden, brilliant golden flash reflected in her glasses.
Terrified it was another enemy, Karin scrambled back, shielding Gian's body with her own. she drew a kunai and lashed out blindly.
A hand moved with impossible speed, catching her wrist in a firm, steady grip.
"It's okay....It's me "
Karin froze. She looked up and saw Naruto standing over her, his face a mask of seriousness and Concern . The dam finally broke. Tears flooded her eyes, and she threw herself against his chest, sobbing hysterically.
"WAAAAAH! NARUTO!"
Karin's voice broke in a ragged sob as she slammed into his chest, her arms winding around him in a desperate, bone-crushing grip. Naruto's vision swam for a second. A jagged, spike of agony flared from his left shoulder down to his hip, his stitches screaming under the sudden pressure but He didn't pull away.
Gritting his teeth , Naruto used his one good arm to pull her close, his right hand gently patting her trembling back. Over Karin's shoulder, his gaze fell on Gian's pale, broken form.
( What the hell happened to ythem ?) he thought, his heart sinking.
*ROARRRRRRRR!*
The Roar was a force that vibrated through the trees. And then, cutting through the beast's fury, came a high, sharp scream that made Naruto's blood run cold.
Shizuka.
The sound of her voice snapped Karin out of her trance. She pulled back, her eyes wide and wet with terror. "Naruto! It's Shizuka—she's trapped! Alone ! There's a Beast... you need to help her... go! Please, go fast!"
Naruto didn't need to be told twice. "I've got her," he rasped.
He vanished using Body Flicker and pushed his broken body into a desperate, high-speed blur.
Soon Naruto found her in a clearing that looked like a war zone But
( NO..!! )
Shizuka was pinned. A massive, ancient tree had snapped like a twig, trapping her legs against the forest floor. Blood matted her dark hair, dripping from a gash on her forehead into her eyes. Her right arm hung at a sickening, unnatural angle—clearly snapped. Yet, even as she bled, even as she faced a creature the size of a small house, she was holding a single kunai in her left hand. The wind-chakra humming around the blade flickered weakly but her eyes were also reflecting the absolute terror in them .
The Chakra Beast loomed over her, its shadow swallowing her whole. It raised a massive, paw, the muscles bunching for a killing blow that would turn her into nothing more than a memory.
From the edge of the clearing, Naruto's heart stopped. He was too far. His legs were screaming. His lungs were burning.
(No....!!! )
Shizuka watched the massive paw descend. Time seemed to slow to a crawl, the way it does when the world is about to end. She felt the wind from the strike before it even hit. She thought of her parents. She thought of the village. And then, she thought of the boy who had held her just yesterday—the boy who had finally made her feel like something more than just a kunoichi.
(Is this the end?) she wondered bitterly, a single tear tracing through the blood on her cheek. ( I'm sorry, Mom, Dad , everyone.... My Prince... I wanted to see you one last time...)
Despite the despair , Shizuka didn't close her eyes. She wanted to face the end like a shinobi.
Then, the world turned gold.
*BLINK*
A brilliant, blinding flash of yellow light exploded in the space between her and death. A silhouette materialized out of thin air—hair like spun sunlight, a Black cloak fluttering like wings.
Before the beast's claw could touch her, Naruto stepped into the strike. He didn't have his left arm, so he put every ounce of his remaining strength and his desperation into his right.
"MONSTER PUNCH!"
*BOOM!*
The impact sent a shockwave through the clearing. The beast, a creature that had been an immovable mountain moments ago, was violently jerked back. Its massive arm was thrown upward as it staggered two, three, four steps back, its heavy footfalls shaking the earth.
Shizuka's breath hitched. She stared at the back of the boy standing over her in the amidst of dust and smoke , He was shaking. She could see the blood soaking through the bandages on his shoulder. She could hear his labored, heavy breathing.
Naruto slowly turned his head. His blue eyes, usually so bright and mischievous, were filled with a fierce fire that made her heart skip a beat. When he saw her—saw the blood and the broken arm—his expression softened into somethingelse.
He whispered, his voice steady despite the pain.
"It's okay "
Naruto turned fully toward the beast, which was already snarling and finding its footing again. Naruto stood his ground, a lone shield between her and Death , and spoke one last time with a small, weary smile playing on his lips.
" I am here."
