Chapter 41 - Is this the end?

Jackson's eyes widened in surprise and pain as he felt the sharp blade pierce through his flesh. He stumbled forward, trying to process what had just happened. Anica stood behind him, her smirk growing wider with each passing second.

Anica looked at Jackson, her voice taking on a psychopath mode "There's a very powerful poison on this blade," she said, her voice was cold and remorseless as she continued, "It'll quickly circulate through your body and kill you within seconds."

With that, Anica twisted the knife deeper into Jackson's back, eliciting a sharp gasp of pain from him. The agony was evident on Jackson's face, his body writhing in pain and shock.

Then she pulled the knife out of Jackson's back, her twisted smile still in place. At that very moment, before she could do anything more, a sudden blow from behind sent her crashing to the ground, unconscious.

Bella had appeared, landing a powerful kick on Anica's head, knocking her out cold.

The poison was quickly spreading through Jackson's body, causing his heart rate to spike dangerously. It was getting harder and harder for him to breathe, and his mental state was becoming increasingly disoriented.

Just as he was starting to fall backward, Bella quickly grabbed him, trying to stop his descent.

But despite her efforts, they both ended up falling to the ground, with Jackson lying on his back and Bella sitting beside him, her hands still tightly grasping him, her eyes filled with worry and fear.

As he lay on the ground, his chest heaving as he struggled to breathe. His face was twisted in pain, and his mental state was completely disoriented.

Still, the intense fight was raging in the background.

Jackson, teetering on the edge of life and death, tried to look at Bella, whose eyes immediately filled with tears, her face a mix of fear and despair.

Her voice was choked with pain as she called out to him in a desperate tone, "Jackson!... Jackson!"

Jackson's eyes flickered weakly, his breaths laboured and shallow.

She clutched his face gently, her fingers trembling as she spoke, "Jackson…Jackson, please handle yourself."

In that moment, Jackson's eyes locked onto Bella, his heart aching at the pain and fear in her voice. He wanted to reassure her, to tell her that everything would be okay, but the words wouldn't come.

In between gasps, Jackson managed to lift his weak hand and touch Bella's face, his expression pained but determined.

With his voice hoarse, he managed to force out the words, "I…i really…want to live...with you. I want to see you...in a b-bridal dress."

A few tears escaped the corners of his eyes, and Bella wept as she replied, "You'll—you'll live, nothing will happen to you. You'll see me in a bridal dress."

Despite his weakened state, Jackson's eyes were still full of determination, as if he was fighting against all odds to stay alive. While Bella held his hand to her face, willing him to survive.

She wiped his tears away gently, her voice thick with emotion as she assured him, "You're going to live, nothing will happen to you. I promise that you'll see me in a beautiful bridal dress."

Despite his pain and weakness, Jackson managed to force a bitter smile onto his face. He struggled to speak, his voice low and croaky, but the words came out with a fierce conviction,

"I...I really love you!"

The words hung in the air, both a declaration and a desperate plea. And in that moment, it was all that mattered.

Then, unwillingly he slowly shut his eyes, his hand falling away from Bella's face and dropping limply to his side.

Bella panicked at the sight, tears streaming down her face as she frantically tried to shake him awake.

"No, no, no, Jackson, get up, this can't be happening, you can't do this,"

She cried desperately, her hands gripping his face as she pleaded.

"Son of Jack, open your eyes, or I swear I'll kill you myself!"

Bella's voice was filled with fear and desperation, her hands trembling as she tried to rouse Jackson back to consciousness.

She continued to shake him, her voice cracking with emotion.

"Jackson, please wake up. You have to fight this, you can't give up now. Open your eyes, dammit, or I'll never forgive you!"

Her heart was pounding badly. She couldn't bear the thought of losing him, not now, not like this. She continued to shake him and plead with him to open his eyes, but he remained unresponsive, his eyes closed and his body eerily still.

As the moments ticked by with no response from Jackson, Bella's despair and fear grew stronger. She couldn't accept the fact that he was gone, that he might have given up fighting. She continued to shake him and beg him to wake up, her voice becoming more frantic and desperate.

It was as if all hope was losing, and the future that she had envisioned with Jackson was slipping away. She felt her heart breaking into pieces, and the realisation that he was gone forever was too much to bear.

As she clutched Jackson to her chest and let out a loud, anguished scream, the nearby group members all turned their attention towards her. They stared in shock and horror at the sight of Jackson lying motionless on the ground and the devastated state of Bella.

Hiroto and Ken, who had just knocked out their opponents in the fight, quickly turned towards Bella and Jackson upon hearing her cry. They rushed over, their faces filled with concern and worry.

As Hiroto and Ken reached Bella and Jackson, they immediately realised that the worst had happened.

Ken froze in place, shocked and devastated, as the other nearby members also stood frozen in disbelief.

Hiroto dropped to his knees, his eyes fixed on Jackson's lifeless body in Bella's arms as he muttered, "No, no, no, this can't be true. It can't be."

With a look of desperation and anguish, Hiroto crawled forward towards Jackson's body, placing his hand on the ground near Jackson's lifeless form and staring at him incredulously, his head shaking in disbelief.

Bella was still wailing loudly, tears streaming down her face as she clutched Jackson's lifeless body in her arms.

Hiroto spoke urgently and desperately, as if begging Jackson to wake up. "No, Jackson, you can't do this," he cried, his voice thick with emotion. "You can't leave like this. Who else is going to taunt me and call me names? You're like a little brother to me, and I love when you taunt me. Wake up, Jackson, I want to hear what word you'll use to taunt me this time."

As he spoke, Hiroto slammed his hand down on the ground in frustration, his voice cracking with emotion. "Why aren't you waking up?" he asked, his voice desperate and pleading.

Suddenly, Bella went quiet, her crying coming to an abrupt stop.

She slowly let go of Jackson's body, standing up firmly and drawing her gun.

With fierce determination, she began to advance towards the members of the opposing gang who were still engaged in the fight.

One by one, she aimed her gun at them and fired, taking them out with deadly accuracy.

The members of the opposing gang were caught off guard by Bella's sudden and ruthless assault. They had underestimated her, assuming that she would be too distraught and devastated to fight. But Bella's grief had fuelled an inner fire, and she was now a force to be reckoned with.

Seeing this, the members of the opposing gang pulled out their own guns and aimed them at Bella.

They all fired at once, showering her with a barrage of bullets.

Bella stood her ground and endured the onslaught, her body writhing in pain but her expression resolute. She didn't scream or cry out in pain, instead, her eyes blazed with anger, determination, and defiance. Despite the pain and the number of bullets she had taken, she refused to give in to fear or weakness.

While this was happening, Jackson and Bella's gang members were shocked and outraged at the sight of their leader being attacked.

In a moment of anger and loyalty, they quickly pulled out their own guns and started firing at the opposing gang members while shielding themselves with tree trunks and some of them were shielding Bella.

The forest area was filled with the sound of gunshots and the pained cries of those being hit. It was a chaotic and dangerous situation, with bullets flying in all directions and both gangs fighting with everything they had.

However, amidst all the chaos, Bella stood tall and unbowed, her determination and resilience the only things that kept her on her feet. Despite being covered in blood and having multiple bullets lodged in her body, she refused to go down without a fight, continuing to fire her gun with all the strength she had left, despite the excruciating pain she was surely experiencing.

The gunfire continued for a long time, with some members from Jackson and Bella's gang falling, but many more from the opposing gang being taken down.

Finally, the shooting came to an end as the last member from the opposing gang fell, leaving only Bella and Jackson's gang remaining members standing in the now silent forest.

The aftermath of the fight was devastating. The area was littered with the bodies of the dead and wounded, the once green forest now stained with blood, creating a macabre scene that resembled a sea of corpses.

Bella and Jackson's remaining gang members stood amidst the carnage, exhausted and traumatised by what they had just gone through. The enormity of what had just happened began to sink in, and the reality of the losses they had suffered started to hit them like a wave.

Then all eyes turned to Bella. She stood there, still holding her gun firmly in her shaking hand despite her body being riddled with so many unbearable bullets. She looked exhausted and weakened, her body trembling slightly but she refused to show any sign of weakness. Her face was pale, and she looked like she was on the verge of collapsing, yet there was still a spark of determination in her eyes.

Then she slowly turned her body towards Jackson's lifeless body, where Hiroto was still sitting next to him, her movements pained and slow. Despite the obvious pain she was in, she took a few tentative steps forward, intending to reach him. Her fellow gang members watched her silently, their hearts heavy with sorrow and pain. They were unsure of what to do, how to help.

As Bella slowly moved towards Jackson's body, her every step a struggle. The others could see the pain and determination in her eyes, but they also knew that there was nothing they could do to undo what had happened in this deep forest. All they could do was stand by and watch as Bella approached her fallen lover.

Bella finally reached Jackson's body, her knees giving way as she sank down on her knees beside it. She lowered her head, overcome with pain and sorrow. Ken, who was standing nearby, attempted to move forward, but Bella stopped him with a raised hand and a pained plea.

Her voice was low and filled with anguish as she said, "It's…too…late."

The others who were watching could feel their hearts aching at her words. They knew the truth in her words, and the reality of the situation hit them like a wave.

Bella slowly turned her gaze to Jackson's face and a bitter smile tugged at the corner of her lips. In a broken and shaky whisper, she confessed,

"I love you too."

Just as her words left her mouth, her eyes slowly closed, she collapsed next to Jackson's lifeless body, the weight of her emotions and the toll of the battle finally taking its toll on her and she was finally dead.

Silence…

A heavy silence.

The only sound being the slow and steady breathing and some occasional sobs of the other members. The loss of both gang's leader and top member and the sight of Bella sprawled next to his body was a stark reminder of the risks and dangers that came with the life they had chosen.

As they stood in the quiet, each of them was left to grapple with their own thoughts and emotions, the weight of grief and sorrow hanging heavily in the air.

***

Inside the factory, where Jae and Daniel and his remaining gang members were still engaged in a brutal and intense fight against the hostile forces. They had been fighting relentlessly and were now covered in various cuts and bruises. Despite the pain and exhaustion, they continued to fight bravely, determined to win.

In the midst of the intense fight, Daniel's attention suddenly focused on Mia, who was standing on the side with a sniper rifle trained on Jae. As his eyes widened in surprise and alarm, he quickly knocked out his opponent and pulled out his own gun.

Before Mia had a chance to fire at Jae, Daniel quickly aimed his weapon at her and shot her hand with perfect accuracy, causing her to drop the sniper rifle and cry out in pain. The loud sound of the gunshot echoed through the hall, instantly grabbing everyone's attention.

Seeing this, some members of Omnipotent, who were just some distance away from Daniel, immediately took out their guns in anger and fired at Daniel's back at once, showering him with the barrage of bullets. As soon as Daniel's back was hit by multiple bullets from the members of Omnipotent's gang, he cried out in pain.

And as Jae witnessed this, he was filled with shock and rage. In a loud, authoritative voice, he shouted the order, "Fire!!!!"

Upon hearing Jae's command, all of his gang members quickly pulled out their guns and began firing at their opponents while shielding themselves behind hardcovers. Similarly, all of the members from the opposing gang retaliated, filling the hall with a barrage of gunfire and the screams of pain from those hit.

Jae, filled with anger, pulled out his own gun and relentlessly fired at Mia, ultimately taking her life, and she crumpled to the ground, lifeless, blood rapidly began to ooze out from her body and pool on the floor.

After taking her life Jae quickly ran towards Daniel, who was lying on the ground, gasping for his final breaths. He quickly sat to Daniel's side, he gently wrapped his arms around him and held him close, a mix of fear, pain, anger, and shock etched on his face.

Desperately, Jae called out Daniel's name and pleaded, "Daniel...Daniel, don't close your eyes. I'm going to get you out of here...I'll save you."

Daniel was badly wounded, his gasps laboured and strained, but his eyes still open, fixed on Jae. The sounds of gunfire and screams of pain continued to echo through the hall, but at that moment, it seemed like the world around them had faded away, and all that mattered was the two of them. Jae's heart was filled with fear and desperation, his mind racing with thoughts of what he could do to save Daniel before it was too late.

As Daniel lay there struggling for breath, he managed to force out a few words despite the pain. "Promising to protect someone isn't just a myth. It's an effort, sometimes success comes, and sometimes it doesn't..."

Jae felt a pang of pain in his heart at Daniel's words, and he became even more determined to save him. Daniel then touched the wedding ring of his and Daisy's on his left hand's ring finger, a bitter scoff escaping his lips as he considered their possible fate.

In that final moment, Daniel let his mind wander back to all the memories he had made in his life. He looked at Jae with a mixture of pain and bittersweet nostalgia, his eyes weary and filled with emotion.

With his final breaths, in a pained voice, Daniel asked a simple yet heavy question,

"Is this the end?"

The weight of his words hung in the air.

Just then Daniel closed his eyes, accepting his fate, his body went limp in Jae's arms.

Jae was left staring silently at Daniel, unable to say anything, as the weight of their situation hit him harder. The final words that Daniel had uttered, "Is this the end?" continued to echo in Jae's ears, a haunting reminder of the price they had just paid.

The gravity of the situation hung heavily in the air as Jae tried to come to terms with the fact that he had lost one more of his loved ones. He sat there silently clutching Daniel's lifeless body, his mind filled with a whirlwind of emotions and questions. The battle raged on in the background, but in that moment, it felt like the world had stopped, frozen in the grief and darkness that had enveloped them.

***

Samuel and Jia were overcome with shock and grief as they witnessed Sarah's lifeless body on the ground before them. Jia stood there frozen, her tears streaming silently down her face as she stared blankly straight ahead.

Samuel, also in shock and disbelief, rushed to Sarah's side, quickly bending down to kneel beside her body and lifting her lifeless form into his arms. He held Sarah tightly against his chest, the tears streaming down his face.

He cried out in pain, his voice filled with desperation and anguish as he questioned, "What have you done Sarah? What have you done? How can I bring you back now...? Why did you do this? Stupid girl." In his grief, he also slapped her face gently, calling out to her desperately, "Sarah, please come back to life. Sarah, open your eyes, please...!"

Samuel's heart was breaking as he wept, the pain and grief overwhelming him. Jia stood there a step distance away, her gaze unfocused and empty. She was paralyzed with grief, unable to move or speak as she witnessed Samuel's breakdown.

In his grief and desperation, Samuel took out his frill ring from his left hand's index finger and took Sarah's left hand and urgently slipped the frill ring onto her ring finger, squeezing it tightly to fit in her finger as he spoke,

"Will you marry me? I have fallen in love with you, please say you will marry me…..I never ignored you Sarah, I cared about every single thing about you. Please, reply to me, will you marry me?" He held her face gently as he pleaded, his heart full of hope and desperation.

His eyes were fixed on her lifeless face. The tears streamed down his face as he waited for an answer that he knew deep down would never come.

He held Sarah tightly to his chest once again, his body shaking with sobs as he cried out loudly, "Why aren't you answering me? Please, say something."

The love and pain were evident in his voice as he continued to beg for an answer from the person who could no longer give it to him.

Suddenly, Jia's voice interrupted Samuel's tears, her bitter chuckle filling the air as she spoke,

"What's all this crying for, Samuel?"

Samuel turned to look at her, still crying, Jia reiterated, "Sarah isn't dead. She's still alive."

Jia said this through tears, her denial and hope still holding on firmly. Samuel looked at her in pain, knowing deep down that Sarah was, indeed, dead.

Jia, taking a step forward, desperate to believe that Sarah was still alive, took Sarah's lifeless body from Samuel's arms.

With tears streaming down her face, she urged, "Let her go, she's alive. Let's get her out of here."

Samuel was helpless, frozen in grief as he watched Jia take Sarah's body from him. The pain and despair etched on his face, unable to do anything to change the reality of the situation. Jia picked up Sarah's body and began to slowly carry it on her back.

As she walked away, Samuel remained seated, his eyes fixed on her and Sarah's body, tears streaming down his face. He continued to watch them disappear from his line of sight until they were finally gone, leaving him alone with his grief and the empty hall.

The hall was eerily silent now, the only sounds being Samuel's sobs and the occasional creak of the floorboards. He sat there for a long time, his grief and helplessness consuming him. The weight of the situation was heavy on his shoulders, and he didn't know how to move on from the loss he had just endured.

Jia, carrying Sarah's lifeless body on her back, slowly walked through the hallway leading towards the main door of the factory. Her steps were cautious and slow. As she moved forward, the silence of the hallway was soon replaced by the sound of her footsteps, echoing off the walls.

Carrying the lifeless body on her back, Jia chuckled bitterly and spoke to Sarah. "Has your weight increased? You're getting heavier."

The question was laced with an air of bittersweet irony, as if Jia was having a one-sided conversation with Sarah.

Jia's heart was filled with pain, and she couldn't help but continue talking aloud to Sarah. "Congratulations, by the way. Samuel finally confessed and proposed marriage to you. You must be elated, right?" Her expression was twisted with a bitter smile.

Jia continued to talk to Sarah as if she could hear and respond. She walked slowly, each step feeling heavier than the last. The sound of her footsteps reverberated in the emptiness of the hallway, but Jia remained focused on moving towards the main door, her mind occupied by thoughts of the confession and proposal she was discussing with the lifeless body on her back.

As she continued her one-sided conversation, she spoke aloud to Sarah again, "When I have my baby, I won't make them call you Aunt but Grandmother, since you always preached about love. Is that alright with you?"

Jia kept moving forward, her steps getting closer to the main door as the light from the open main door came into view. "Look, Sarah, we're finally about to leave. The place was truly getting unbearable. We're about to finally get out of here," she said with a hint of bitter relief.

With each step, she moved closer to the exit, the light grew brighter.

Finally, she reached the doorway, pausing for a moment to look out into the forest. The fresh air and the sight of the trees provided a stark contrast to the dark and cramped factory interior. Jia stood there, taking a deep breath before stepping outside, Sarah's lifeless body still on her back.

As Jia stepped outside, she froze in her tracks, her gaze fixed on the gruesome scene before her.

Dead bodies were everywhere, and Jackson and Bella were a short distance away, lying on the ground, bathed in their own blood with a few remaining gang members huddled around them. The sight was overwhelming.

Her already fragile heart shattered further as she took in the sight of the carnage around her. The weight of Sarah's body on her back felt heavier than ever, and her eyes welled up with tears as she tried to comprehend the full extent of the destruction around her. The sight before her felt like a nightmarish illusion, an unbearable dream that refused to end.

In a daze, Jia fell to the ground with a dull thud, Sarah's body also fell with her. The impact of the fall only served as a harsh reminder that the reality surrounding her was undeniably real.

She sat there on the hard, cold ground, her mind struggling to process the surreal scene unfolding around her. The smell of death and the sight of destruction filled her senses.

She found herself unable to keep up any pretence of strength or composure. Surrounded by the horrors of the situation, all the strength and energy drained out of her.

She sat on the ground, her head bowed, and let the tears flow freely. It was a raw, unfiltered display of pain and despair.

Each sob wracked her body as the reality of the nightmare she was living in finally sank in. She no longer cared about holding back her emotions; she simply allowed herself to grieve, her tears mingling with the dirt and filth of the ground beneath her.

***

Samuel's grief-stricken state was interrupted by Minho's sudden appearance. The sight of the blood on the floor and Samuel's slumped figure caused a mix of shock and disgust on Minho's face.

He abruptly asked, "Samuel, what are you doing here?"

The sound of Minho's voice jolted Samuel out of his mournful state. As he looked towards Minho, a mixture of emotions flooded through him – hatred, anger, and pain and his heart clenched in rage and grief as he looked at him.

He had hoped never to see him again, and yet here he was, disrupting Samuel's grief. All the hurt and anger Samuel had felt towards Minho resurfaced, and he could feel the weight of the emotions welling up inside him.

Minho, observing Samuel's silence, concluded he wasn't going to respond. He didn't wait for an answer and urgently turned towards the room where he had kept Jia captive.

Samuel, his grief transforming into uncontrollable anger, suddenly lunged forward and fired a shot at Minho's shoulder. The sound of Minho's agonised scream echoed through the hallway. Minho instinctively clutched his injured shoulder, his eyes wide with shock and pain, as he spun around to face Samuel.

"What the hell are you doing?!" Minho exclaimed, his voice filled with a mix of anger and disbelief.

Samuel, driven by a torrent of fury and pain, didn't stop at one shot. He aimed the gun again, ready to shoot Minho once more. But Minho, reacting just in time, managed to dodge the bullet, his reflexes sharpened by the adrenaline rush.

"Why are you doing this?" Minho shouted, his voice cracking with a mix of shock and rage.

Samuel didn't bother to respond to Minho's question. He quickly shot at Minho again, but once more, Minho agilely dodged the bullet. He realised that Samuel was too enraged to be reasoned with, and he hastily started to run away from Samuel.

However, Samuel chased Minho down with a frenzied determination, continuing to fire the gun at him. The bullets kept missing, as Samuel's rage seemed to overshadow his aim. Each missed shot fueled Samuel's anger further, and his eyes darkened with a mix of pain and violence

The chase was relentless, and the tension palpable, as both men raced through the passageways, one seeking vengeance and the other desperately trying to escape.

Minho frantically tried to pull out his gun while running, but as he did, it slipped from his grasp and fell to the ground. The sight of Samuel, driven by a primal rage, chasing him relentlessly, gave Minho no time to pick up his gun. Without hesitating, he abandoned the weapon and focused solely on escaping.

Minho, running desperately until he reached the edge of the factory's terrace, found himself facing a dead end. There was nowhere else to go, and a dangerous drop loomed ahead. With his injured shoulder clutched in pain, Minho turned around to see Samuel standing right in front of him, gun pointed at him.

Just then, Minho's gang's several members suddenly rushed into the scene. They surrounded Samuel from all sides, pointing their own guns at him. Seeing this, Minho let out a small sigh of relief, a hint of a smirk on his face as he looked at Samuel.

Taking a chance, Minho asked, "I'm your father, even if not biologically. I've literally raised you with love, I've supported you in everything. Will you feel no guilt after killing me?"

Samuel's expression was dazed, almost as if he was possessed by his emotions. His eyes remained fixed on Minho, but his focus was elsewhere, as if he was lost in his own world of anger and pain.

After a moment of silence, Samuel finally spoke, his voice steady but determined. "Yes, I will feel guilty. But I won't let it happen."

Minho listened intently, trying to make sense of Samuel's words. At that very moment, Samuel reached for the button on his coat, his mind echoing the words of Jackson, who had told him that, 'Samuel this is a hidden miniature advanced bomb, place it in your pocket and its controller is in your coat button. Remember, use it when needed.' Samuel's hand trembled slightly as he remembered Jackson's warning. 'Don't accidentally press the button on your coat when the bomb is in your pocket, or you'll end up dead.'

Samuels's hand hovered over the coat button, which he knew controlled the bomb. He looked at Minho with a look of pain and spoke.

"Sarah once told me that I should experience wanting something beyond limits. And..."

Minho looked confused and alert, listening to Samuel's words. As Samuel spoke, a bitter smile formed on his lips, and he continued,

"I tried to experience wanting Sarah beyond limits, but it proved to be painful. Extremely painful…. ." He paused for a few seconds.

"Even if I survive after killing you, the rest of my life will be spent in guilt and regret. Regret for not accepting Sarah's love on time, guilt for killing my father with my own hands, no matter how many people's lives my father has ruined." Samuel's tone was laced with bitterness as he spoke.

"And I know very well that I can't live with guilt and regret."

Minho's gut feeling kept warning him that danger was coming from Samuel's direction.

Then without giving anyone a chance to react, Samuel quickly moved towards Minho, caught him off guard and forcibly grabbed Minho and pressed the controller of the bomb in his coat button, then quickly jumped with Minho off the factory's terrace, just as a powerful explosion erupted.

The force of the blast was so intense that it resonated throughout the area, leaving Minho's gang members on the terrace floor covering their faces in a futile attempt to protect themselves from the shockwave. The ground trembled, and the shockwave sent a chill through the atmosphere.

Everyone nearby including all the gang members, Jae, Jia, everyone present in the forest and factory were temporarily stunned by the explosive force, shaken to their core.

In the end, Samuel had managed to take Minho's life along with his own.

The aftermath of the explosion left chaos and destruction in its wake, and the sounds of commotion and confusion filled the air.

Max, leading a big team of secret armed policemen with their weapons, was moving through the forest towards the factory. Their faces were hidden except Max. They weren't far away when they heard the deafening sound of the explosion. Shock and surprise registered on their faces as they witnessed the blast's effect on the surrounding forest, even causing birds to fly away startled.

Just then Max quickly gestured towards the factory, signalling to the secret armed police to move forward urgently. Without hesitation, they all started moving towards the factory at a brisk pace, adrenaline pumping through their veins.

Max and his team reached the entrance of the factory in no time. As they arrived, they immediately pointed their weapons at Jackson and Bella's remaining gang members who were present outside.

The sheer presence of the secret armed police caused shock and disbelief among Jackson and Bella's gang members, who hadn't expected this sudden turn of events.

As Max scanned the surroundings, he noticed the numerous dead bodies along with Jackson and Bella's and the scene of chaos and destruction. A wave of shock washed over him. The magnitude of the loss and the impact of the violence struck him deeply, leaving him momentarily speechless.

Despite the shock, Max collected himself and led his secret armed police team further into the factory. At this point, he spotted Jia, sitting beside Sarah's lifeless body. The sight once again hit him hard, adding to the emotional turmoil he was already experiencing.

Jia also got shocked and confused seeing Max there. In the midst of all this, secret police officers quickly rescued Jia and escorted her away from the scene. Without saying a word to Jia, Max continued leading his team into the dark depths of the factory, preparing themselves for whatever lay ahead as his team split up, securing different areas of the factory.

Then Max, accompanied by other secret police officers, entered the main hall where Jae, Daniel, and the remaining members were present and were engulfed in the battle. The sudden appearance of the secret police shocked the individuals present, their surprise evident on their faces as they immediately stopped their firing.

They hadn't anticipated the secret police's involvement in the situation, and their expressions reflected the shock with confusion they felt.

The secret police quickly drew their weapons, aiming at everyone in the hall. With their guns at the ready, the secret police had the upper hand.

The members stood motionless, their eyes darting around as they realised the gravity of their situation.

Jae, who was still sitting near Daniel, struggling to come to terms with the loss of Daniel, was caught off guard as he saw Max's presence in the hall. His mind raced, trying to comprehend the reason for Max's sudden presence.

Meanwhile, Max was overwhelmed with despair as he glanced at Daniel's lifeless body, still unable to fathom the fact that he had lost yet another close person in such a short span of time. The weight of the losses was taking a heavy toll on Max, leaving him emotional and shattered.

At that moment, two police officers approached Jae in a rush and alert and grabbed him from both sides, forcing him to stand. However, Jae's gaze remained fixated on Max.

Max approached Jae slowly, concealing his pain behind a stoic expression. With a straight face, he calmly revealed, "I'm from the secret police force."

This revelation left Jae utterly shocked. His eyes slightly widened with surprise as he processed the information. His mind raced, trying to grasp the implications of this unexpected revelation.

Max looked away from Jae, his face stern and authoritative. With a firm voice, he commanded, "Take them all away from here, immediately."

Instantly, the secret police officers secured their weapons and began leading the gang members out of the hall.

Jae, whose pain and shock were evident on his face, was also escorted out, still struggling to process everything that had unfolded. His state of shock was so severe that he couldn't even utter a single word. The immense pain and grief he was experiencing had already broken him, leaving him completely speechless. It was as though he had already given up, the weight of his emotions overpowering any will to resist.

Max found himself momentarily still, unable to move as he stood in the same spot he was standing, the scenario of his closed ones dead bodies were overpowering him in that moment. The shock and pain threatened to weaken him, making it difficult to focus on his responsibilities as a secret police officer. But he knew he had to hold himself together, even if it meant suppressing his emotions and forcing himself to stay alert.

After a momentary pause, Max shook off the emotional weight pressing down on him and quickly composed himself. He gathered his thoughts and led the way out of the building, the other secret police officers following closely behind. Their expressions were a mix of determination and solemnity, reflecting the gravity of the situation they had just witnessed.

***

That day had been one to remember, etched deeply in the minds of everyone involved. The sacrifice of loved ones, the numerous losses, the thirst for revenge - all combined to make it a day no one would ever forget.

But as the sun set on that chaotic day, the true cost of their actions began to sink in. They had achieved their goal, but at what cost?

The losses they had suffered, the pain and grief they felt, it all seemed too much to bear. The weight of those losses hung heavily over them, leaving them feeling hollow and empty. They had gone into the day with a clear goal in mind, their focus solely on exacting revenge. But now, as they looked back, they were left questioning if it had been worth the sacrifice.

In the end, they couldn't help but wonder if they had done the right thing. The sacrifices of their loved ones, the lives lost, and the pain it had brought - was it all justified in the pursuit of their goal? The doubts and uncertainty hung in the air, weighing heavily on their minds.

Those who had sacrificed their lives had accepted their fate with open arms, bidding farewell to their dreams and unfulfilled desires with tears in their eyes and a bitter smile on their faces. Their pain would live on even after death, a constant reminder of the price they had paid for what they believed in. Their final moments were filled with a mix of sadness and acceptance, as they closed their eyes to the world for the last time.
