Chapter 81 — A Little Happiness in Hell

The next morning, Razan was lying in bed with Loona cuddled up against his chest. While enjoying the peaceful moment with his girlfriend, he began gently stroking her ears.

"They're so cute... It makes me want to hold them all the time," Razan commented with a smile.

Loona opened her eyes and noticed what he was doing. She looked at him with an expression somewhere between confusion and resignation before replying:

"You really are weird. I don't know what's so special about this, but... it still feels really comfortable when you pet me. So, don't stop."

Razan smiled when he heard that.

"I'm glad to know my affection feels comfortable to you. But it's time to get up. After all, I have to go see Charlie and Vaggie. They told me yesterday that they were pregnant. If I don't go talk to them and explain that everything is fine between us, they might end up thinking I'm one of those fathers who abandon their own children. Charlie already has plenty of insecurities because of her parents. The last thing she needs right now is to go through something like that, too."

Hearing his words, Loona smiled slightly.

"Yes, that's true. With Charlie's family situation, she might end up overthinking things. But honestly, I feel sorry for that child. Since Charlie didn't receive much attention from her own parents, she'll probably cling to the baby to make sure they don't go through the same thing she did."

Razan got out of bed and stretched, letting out a small sigh before replying:

"Well, that's true. After all, she's very emotional. Honestly, I was pretty surprised that she hadn't started singing some songs after finding out she was pregnant. But now that I think about it, the pregnancy is still in its early stages. I bet she'll be singing plenty of songs before long."

He rubbed his face as if he could already foresee the trouble that lay ahead.

"Ah, what a headache! I love that girl so much, but she's incredibly energetic. It's like she's always full of energy!"

Loona, who had also finished getting dressed, stood up and looked at him with an amused smile.

"Now you know what I have to put up with all the time because of you."

Razan was about to open his mouth to protest, claiming that he wasn't that energetic. However, as he began remembering all the times he had jumped on Loona, hugged her out of nowhere, and done several other little things without any warning, he eventually fell silent.

Deep down, he knew she was right.

After getting ready, the two left the bedroom and went to have breakfast. Once they had finished their meal, Razan opened a portal leading directly to the hotel.

He stepped through the passage and emerged in the establishment's living room. He barely had time to stretch before a white blur suddenly leaped toward him.

Razan reacted quickly and opened his arms, managing to catch it before it could fall to the floor.

Realizing who was in his arms, he looked at Charlie and sighed, his expression mixing affection with concern.

"Charlie, you need to be more careful! You're pregnant now. What if you end up getting hurt?"

Charlie, on the other hand, didn't seem to share his concerns. With an excited smile, she replied:

"You don't need to worry! I know you'll always catch me, so I'm not worried about getting hurt!"

Razan smiled, feeling a little awkward in the face of her absolute confidence in him.

"Then all I can do is thank you for trusting me so much."

He lowered his head and kissed her on the lips. After a few moments, he pulled back just enough to look into her eyes.

"Don't worry about the child. They'll have me, you, Vaggie, and Loona by their side. The last thing that's going to happen is them being left alone or neglected."

Charlie smiled even more brightly when she heard those words.

"Yes, I know! I'm so excited! But I don't know what baby clothes to buy. I want some pink ones with little flowers, but I still don't know if it's going to be a boy or if he'll like pink. What should I buy? Ah, I'm so excited!"

As Charlie spoke faster and faster, Vaggie approached and wrapped her arms around her girlfriend from behind.

"Calm down a little, love. We still have plenty of time to think about that."

"But, Vaggie, we're going to have a family! You and I are going to have a family and children! Ah, I'm so happy!"

At that moment, Angel entered the hotel's living room. After observing the scene for a few seconds, he walked over to the couch and flopped down onto it, looking at the others with an expression of feigned disappointment.

"Honestly, you're all so lovey-dovey. When I found out that you two were dating and that the handsome hunk over there was dating both of you, I thought you'd finally realized how beautiful my world of eroticism is and were ready to see some really hot stuff happening. Instead, you turned something that should've been super hot into something cute and wholesome. You're all so boring!"

Husk, who was behind the bar polishing some glasses, let out a sigh before replying:

"On that, I have to agree with this second-rate actor. You people manage to turn everything into a happy story. It's enough to make you sick from all the sweetness."

Hearing their comments, Razan simply smiled and shrugged.

"I can't do anything about that. My personality is just like this, and when you combine it with Charlie's personality, which is even more cheerful than mine, we end up getting pretty excited about everything."

He paused briefly and looked at the two of them, his expression becoming a little more serious this time.

"But, guys, that's not necessarily a bad thing. After all, aside from Alastor, who loves seeing disasters happen all the time, don't you think it would be nice to have a place where there's nothing but filth and suffering? Your lives are already full of those things, aren't they? You came to this hotel looking for something different from what you find out there. You came looking for an opportunity to change your lives. So, finding a little happiness isn't such a bad thing, is it?"

Angel and Husk fell silent for a few moments.

Angel, in particular, found himself thinking about Valentino and the terrible things he was forced to do because of him.

His gaze drifted toward Charlie, who was still excitedly discussing which baby clothes to buy with Vaggie. The princess's genuine happiness seemed to contrast with everything he knew outside that place.

After a few seconds, Angel let out a tired smile.

"Yeah, that's true. You guys aren't the worst things I have to deal with."

Razan's eyes widened slightly when he heard that. Then, he grabbed a nearby pillow and threw it at Angel, hitting him in the face.

"Well, I'll take that as the greatest compliment you're capable of giving! After all, this is the first time you've said something nice without bringing up adult stuff!"

Angel pulled the pillow away from his face while Charlie watched the scene with a satisfied smile.

Charlie How nice! It's good to see everyone getting along!"

Vaggie massaged her forehead and sighed at that conclusion.

"Well, I wouldn't exactly call this getting along... But it'll do."
