The machines shrieked as Industrial Piece kept growing. Wimblen was glad about the progress he was making, in regards to the challenge Leon set.
"How many days has it been since he left?"
A question for Silas to answer
"A week, I guess"
Silas paused as he frowned at the sky
"Do you know what was our last conversation?"
And he expounded the tale he isolated within
It was a hushed night. The headquarters of the Day Embers, or the molted simple bar had no-one at its attention- except Silas. He had few snags regarding choices Leon made. It was more of a confusion about what he meant all the way. That's when in that misty night sky- he sensed the Revenant.
Perched on the windowsill, Leon initiated the conversation
"It's been a while"
"Oh, has it been" Silas was unfazed
"You can ask me- the question you are hesitant about"
"What's there to ask?" Silas made a crooked face
"Let me help you," Leon whispered. "When I went into the Crike's pocket, I realised they had a much bigger army than we imagined"
He turned around to peep outside
"What's more important are the lives of those girls, held captive. If we don't move nimble- they will eventually sacrifice every single one of them"
He kept staring out
"To resolve both the problems I could only come up with a single solution- That's to exterminate their number"
"But what about those innocent vanguards" Silas asked
"Innocent dies… it's shameful but we need to accept it- people will die. They died even when those Vanguards striked, they will eventually die through the medium of Crikes"
He sighed
"We can't save everyone, but we can save someone"
"So you mean our line of work is too slow" Silas was confused about why Leon kept staring out
"I don't know" Leon replied "it doesn't matter who reaches there first. But when the war starts I will need you, and you will need me. So even though our paths will be different, the result we desire is the same"
Silas nodded
"But for now"
Leon paused
"I will leave it to you"
"Are you leaving for the living hell" Silas offered him wine
"Tomorrow, before the sun" Leon rejected the offer "take care till then"
"Oh, so the Revenant is concerned"
"I'm as Leon here" he thought and said "just came to see my friend before I leave"
Silas was flustered…
A friend was something peerless in the world of crime and politics.
But even Silas had that friendly warmth with Leon.
"Oh, ohk… you can leave how" Silas stuttered, as he couldn't handle the sudden acceptance.
"Someone is turning red" Leon leaped out the window.
Silas followed till the windowsill…
But the sight he peeped for was brutal…
Blood drenched earth- not just simply drenched, but a flood of blood swamping the alley. The Embers of Revenant struck a deal between the corrupted vanguards and the Crikes.
The blood was red but blighted black. It was dark in the sins of those criminals. As Silas saw the massacres clashing, he grew afraid of what would be causality in the final war.
But the war was due… yet…
For now the houses had optimism and generosity to hold. They believed the Embers. No matter which organisation gets the final say, they were assured about their safety.
Agasthus and Faf practicing their arts were happy too. They were poised because of their brother's presence. Believing in his power they worked for theirs.
Faf strided straight to Agasthus…
"Invisible wall" Agasthus summoned the power of Apostle
Faf glided rightwards, tearing a portal right behind his brother. He swung another energised punch straight at him. But Agasthus defended with his Apostle staff.
A portal convened- extending his leg being Agasthus, catching him off guard.
Agasthus had to be acquainted with his surroundings, as Faf's control over his power was progressing. The portal gave him invincible teleportational advantage.
But Agasthus had the power to accompany Revenant. So it wasn't going to be easy for either one of them.
The brawl continued… but intervening it came the question
"Will the people be okay in absence of the Revenant?"
"Of course" Agasthus replied "even if brother isn't here, Silas is"
"Aren't they in opposite sections now" Faf was concerned
"Even though it seems like it, they are quite good friends" Agasthus giggled as he lashed Faf.
Leon was long gone into the journey of Tergoray Nols…
Even in his absence everybody thought of him. They never divulged it, but they were perturbed for him. Soon the war would begin and the first phase of the tale commenced. But amidst it all, many were going to lose the things they loved and prayed for…
A lonely man stranded offshore, kept leaping his heavy foot towards the dark forest. He was wrapped with scars and burdened with clothes that hid him. He never once looked back, vanishing from the sights of many… thinking
"The war is never won. It's just about who loses more"
