"I… I remember," Azul whispered. "I finally remembered my home…"
His memories were still too fragmented to remember clearly, but for some reason, he was sure that the ocean was the answer to all of his confusion.
Even though his mind could not remember anything, his body seemed to remember it. The smell of the ocean, the sound of the waves… he was familiar with all of those things.
"But how can… how can a beta fish like me have lived in such a huge ocean?" Azul asked in confusion. Tears continued to fall down his cheeks, but Roxanna gently wiped them away again and again, trying to comfort him.
Carefully, Roxanna took Azura into her arms so Azul would not accidentally drop their daughter.
"There is no guarantee that you are truly a beta fish," Roxanna said softly. "After all, you barely remember anything from your past."
