For several seconds, none of the four men answered Aurora's question. They exchanged glances again, each seemingly waiting for someone else to speak first.
Finally, Elixir cleared his throat and pointed toward the largest trunk. "We could... hollow them out?" he suggested, his voice carrying an unusual note of uncertainty. "Then they could become houses."
Reis immediately nodded, apparently relieved that someone had offered an idea. "And if we don't use them for houses, we could cut them into pieces and make furniture. Tables, shelves, beds..." He glanced at Aurora hopefully before adding, "There would be plenty of wood."
Kellen, unwilling to be left behind, quickly offered another possibility. "And if neither of those works, we can always use the wood as firewood." He paused. "So... it wouldn't be a complete waste."
