The cave got wrapped in silence as Kellen allowed himself to rest against Aurora, though he made sure not to crush her under his weight.
Outside this inner sanctuary of the cave, everything seemed way too quiet and Aurora suddenly realized both Reis and Elixir might have heard her and Kellen. And the current silence meant the two had already left the cave.
She felt Kellen stir and as her attention returned to the man who just made her feel so much pleasure minutes ago, the world seemed to have narrowed until only the two of them remained within it.
A few minutes later, Kellen finally lifted his head and his blue orbs met her green ones. Slowly, he reached for her. His rough hand settled gently against her cheek, his thumb brushing lightly across her skin as though committing every feature of her face to memory.
