It had already been confirmed inside the Hero Association that the C Class hero Cross Key committed suicide because of a single person.
"No way. A C Class hero lost control and committed suicide just because someone spoke one sentence?"
A staff member stared at the screen in disbelief.
Another employee beside him shook his head slowly.
"Nothing is impossible. If Cross Key was just an accident, how do you explain the other C Class heroes? More than ten of them were affected."
Inside the Hero Association control room, multiple staff members were gathered in front of a large screen. The footage displayed an incident that had taken place earlier at a supermarket.
The man in the recording was extremely suspicious.
"This guy might be a Monster himself, especially considering he is living together with an actual Monster."
"Should we send heroes to capture him?"
"Too late. The B Class Rank 1 hero has already received the report."
Someone spoke quietly.
"Hellish Blizzard."
The room fell silent for a moment.
Meanwhile, the man at the center of all this chaos had absolutely no idea what was happening outside.
Inside a small apartment, Lucien was locked in an intense battle with Saitama.
The battlefield was the dining table.
The prize was the final rib.
"Dammit Saitama, I will never give you this last rib."
Lucien leaned forward with a dangerous look in his amethyst colored eyes. His chopsticks moved so fast they created several blurred afterimages.
Across the table, Saitama's expression remained serious, almost like he was facing a powerful enemy.
His chopsticks clashed against Lucien's with incredible speed.
The two sets of chopsticks collided repeatedly in the air as they both fought for the final rib.
The sound of wood tapping echoed rapidly through the room.
Beside them, Mosquito Girl knelt quietly near the table like a gentle and obedient housewife. Her hands rested on her lap as she watched the chaotic fight unfold.
A warm and satisfied smile appeared on her face.
"My cooking really isn't something to brag about," she said modestly.
Lucien snorted.
"You already ate twenty pieces."
Saitama immediately responded.
"You miscounted."
Lucien's eyebrow twitched.
"I counted perfectly."
Saitama held his chopsticks like a sword.
"I also counted perfectly. You ate twenty pieces."
Lucien pointed his chopsticks at him.
"And you ate thirty."
Saitama looked slightly thoughtful.
"I was hungry."
Ten minutes later, the fight ended.
Lucien finally withdrew his chopsticks and leaned back in his chair.
He had lost the rib.
However, he was extremely satisfied.
For ten minutes, he had clashed with Saitama in a simple but intense exchange. Speed, precision, reaction, and timing had all been tested during that short fight.
To Lucien, Saitama was the perfect whetstone.
A blade could only become truly sharp after countless rounds of grinding and polishing.
Fighting Saitama, even over something as stupid as food, allowed Lucien to refine himself.
If he continued living like this long enough, he was certain his strength would grow faster than ever before.
Saitama happily grabbed the final rib and began eating.
Lucien glanced at him briefly before shifting his gaze toward Mosquito Girl.
She was sitting properly with her back straight, waiting quietly for instructions.
Lucien nodded slightly.
Not bad.
At least the food was excellent.
Mosquito Girl immediately lowered her head politely.
"Thank you for the compliment, Master."
Inside, she let out a quiet sigh of relief.
Her life had clearly been spared again.
Lucien crossed his arms casually.
"From now on, cooking and laundry will be your responsibility."
Mosquito Girl nodded quickly.
"Yes, Master."
Lucien continued speaking calmly.
"Next time you cook, prepare one thousand servings."
Mosquito Girl froze.
One thousand?
Lucien rested his chin on his hand and thought for a moment.
"I will find you a few companions later."
In Lucien's mind, he was already being extremely considerate.
Mosquito Girl could definitely produce one thousand servings of food, but forcing her to do it alone would be too excessive.
If he encountered some Monsters later, he could spare one or two and turn them into servants.
After all, everyone worked for him.
Lucien looked at Saitama.
"Saitama, any objections?"
Saitama placed his chopsticks down.
He tilted his head slightly and thought for a moment.
"You eat too much."
Lucien's eye twitched again.
Saitama continued speaking casually.
"As long as they are not bad guys, it's fine."
Lucien shrugged.
"No problem."
After finishing their meal, the two of them sat on the floor watching television.
Mosquito Girl quickly cleaned the dining table. Afterward, she brewed hot tea for both of them and quietly carried the dishes into the kitchen to begin washing them.
The apartment became peaceful.
For about five minutes.
Lucien lifted his cup and took a slow sip of tea.
Then his gaze shifted toward the balcony.
His amethyst eyes narrowed slightly.
"Looks like the protagonist effect really attracts trouble."
At that exact moment, several weak presences appeared outside the building.
Bang.
The wall of the apartment suddenly exploded.
Dust and debris scattered everywhere as a mantis shaped Monster leaped into the room.
It raised its sharp claws proudly.
"I come from the House of Evolution..."
"Stop breathing."
Lucien spoke calmly without even looking at it.
The mantis Monster froze.
Its claws trembled.
Suddenly, it grabbed its own throat.
Its eyes filled with horror as it struggled desperately for air.
Seconds later, it collapsed onto the floor.
Dead.
Saitama blinked.
"Lucien, what move was that?"
He looked genuinely curious.
"I don't get it. Why would a Monster actually stop breathing just because you said so?"
Before Lucien could answer, Saitama noticed something strange.
Lucien's body on the tatami mat began fading like a mirage.
It disappeared.
Outside the building, several Monsters were waiting.
A frog Monster.
A slug Monster.
A mole Monster.
An armored gorilla.
And a large lion like creature known as the Beast King.
Suddenly, Lucien appeared in front of them.
The Monsters jumped in shock.
"What the hell, how did this human appear here?"
Lucien stood calmly with both hands inside his pockets.
His gaze moved slowly across them.
They were clearly agents of the House of Evolution.
The Armored Gorilla reacted first.
It opened its mouth and fired a blast of scorching energy.
Boom.
Lucien casually flicked his finger.
The Armored Gorilla instantly exploded into pieces.
A violent shockwave swept across the area.
The frog Monster, slug Monster, and mole Monster froze in terror.
Even the Beast King, who had originally rushed forward confidently, suddenly stopped moving.
Cold sweat covered his body.
Lucien looked at them.
His expression remained indifferent.
"You three."
"Stop breathing."
Immediately, the frog, slug, and mole Monsters clutched their throats and collapsed onto the ground.
Dead.
Lucien's gaze shifted to the final one.
"You."
"Kneel."
Thud.
The mighty Beast King instantly dropped to his knees.
His fierce face was now filled with pure fear.
What was happening?
Weren't they told the target was weak?
Lucien walked toward him slowly.
"Do you have any special talents?"
The Beast King blinked in confusion.
Then he began speaking rapidly.
"I'm very strong. I can lift heavy objects. I can destroy buildings. I can also perform acrobatics."
He continued listing everything he could think of.
At this moment, survival was the only thing that mattered.
Lucien nodded.
"Barely acceptable."
He raised a finger and pressed it against the Beast King's forehead.
A drop of dark Demon blood seeped into his skin.
In an instant, the Beast King's body trembled.
His eyes turned completely loyal.
Another servant had been created.
Far away, deep within a hidden mountain forest, the headquarters of the House of Evolution was monitoring everything.
Inside the underground laboratory, Dr. Genus stared at the screen with intense excitement.
The footage clearly showed Lucien killing the Armored Gorilla and defeating the Beast King with almost no effort.
Dr. Genus pushed his glasses upward.
His voice trembled slightly.
"Those purple eyes... fascinating."
"The Beast King and the Armored Gorilla were defeated so easily."
"I must obtain this man's genes."
"Incredible. This might be the most perfect lifeform I have ever seen."
He thought silently for a moment.
Then he sighed.
"It seems I have no choice."
Dr. Genus entered an elevator and descended to the deepest level of the laboratory.
Since the Beast King and the Armored Gorilla had both been eliminated, only one option remained.
The strongest creation of the House of Evolution.
The ultimate form of artificial evolution.
Carnage Kabuto.
Dr. Genus frowned slightly.
He did not like releasing that creature.
Carnage Kabuto was powerful, but mentally unstable. Its violent instincts were extremely difficult to control.
If unleashed, its disaster level could easily reach Dragon level.
Unfortunately, he had run out of alternatives.
Meanwhile, several black vehicles stopped outside Lucien and Saitama's apartment building.
Large men in suits stepped out first.
One of them opened the door of the central car.
A long leg wrapped in black stockings stepped out.
Then a tall and elegant woman emerged.
She had short black hair, sharp eyes, and a confident posture. Her green dress and pearl necklace gave her a refined and mature appearance.
Fubuki, also known as Hellish Blizzard, looked up at the building.
"Are you sure this is the place?"
The middle aged man in a suit nodded.
"Yes, Master Blizzard."
Fubuki pulled out a photograph.
The image showed a tall, handsome man with amethyst eyes, wearing a casual T shirt, beach shorts, and flip flops.
Despite the simple clothes, the man possessed an unusual presence.
Very handsome.
Fubuki spoke calmly.
"Did our investigation confirm that Cross Key died because of this man?"
The suited man answered.
"About sixty percent certainty."
Fubuki closed the photo.
"That's enough."
Her black stockings stepped forward confidently as she walked toward the building.
A cold smile appeared on her lips.
