"The city is so beautiful from here," Diamond said in admiration.
"I know, right?" Tanya agreed.
Diamond took out her phone and snapped a picture of herself and Tanya, capturing the moment forever.
Soon their orders were taken and their food was served.
Tanya's eyes lit up as she took in the sight of the food.
"You never get tired of eating, do you?" Diamond asked in disbelief.
Tanya smiled mischievously. "Oh, I do, when I'm satisfied."
Diamond chuckled hysterically before concentrating on her food.
Her mind left the present and drifted to a few minutes ago when she had seen the email sent to her by the company. _The company._ She still couldn't believe it.
She decided not to get her hopes up, as she was just going to be interviewed and hadn't been given the job yet.
She dismissively waved off her thoughts and decided to focus on the present.
They had finished their food in no time and resolved to stay a little longer before heading back home.
Diamond couldn't thank Tanya enough for sponsoring their outing and covering the bills. Sometimes she wondered what life would be like without Tanya. Tanya was the only family she knew, and she never once gave her reasons to doubt her love. She was indeed the sister she never had.
Time went by fast, and soon they were on their way back home.
They were happy to have reached home before curfew despite the traffic jam.
Having had enough to eat, both girls headed up to their rooms feeling exhausted. They bid each other good night as they finally went to their separate rooms.
Despite being exhausted, Diamond couldn't get her mind off her upcoming interview. She wondered what it would be like and what could go wrong. Pushing her thoughts away, she decided to get some sleep.
She closed her eyes and mumbled some words of prayer, and within minutes she had fallen asleep.
