A three-day company retreat left Eve Sherman utterly exhausted.
After returning to Ardane, she went straight home and fell asleep instantly.
She slept until the next morning, feeling much better from her cold, and left early for Stellan Sutton's residence to pick him up.
However, she didn't find him; instead, she saw Stella Sutton making a phone call outside in the courtyard.
Upon seeing Eve Sherman, Stella swept her gaze over, glanced at her coolly, and then looked away.
Eve parked her car, about to enter when Stella called her out.
"Seeing me without even saying hello, where are your manners?"
Only then did Eve stop to explain, "I just saw you were on the phone and didn't want to disturb you."
Stella raised an eyebrow, hung up the call, and beckoned Eve to come over with her finger.
"You guys went on a company retreat?"
Eve nodded, "Yes, the company department went to President Sutton's private beach for three days."
"Is that so?"
