Eve nodded, "Got it, Second Miss. I'll be going now."
Finn watched Eve with a slightly annoyed squint as she looked relieved to leave.

"What you said earlier, you weren't serious, right?"
Stella asked irritably.
"Which part are you referring to?"
Finn asked nonchalantly.

Stella felt it was beneath her to bicker with a mere assistant over attention and thought it unbecoming and tacky, so she pursed her lips and said no more.
Eve finally managed to extricate herself from the situation, almost jogging away, not noticing Rory Shaw who was watching the scene unfold from the side.
"Eve, let's see how you'll get out of this one!"
Rory watched her retreating figure coldly, adjusted her makeup in the mirror, then entered the room with a bright smile.
"Stella, I'm late."
