Chapter 241 - Magma Burns Away the Serpent Monster’s Dream

The serpent offspring could no longer maintain their human disguises.

Slimy snake scales burst through their skin with sickening tearing sounds. Forked tongues flicked wildly through the air, tasting the lethal temptation radiating from Lin Qiye. Their eyes burned with primal greed and possessiveness. This perfect vessel was the breeding ground they had dreamed of. They wanted to sow their seeds within him. They wanted this god-like body to give birth to their progeny.

Hiss, hiss, hiss—

Piercing hisses echoed across the entire playground as dozens of serpent offspring charged desperately toward the rostrum.

Lin Qiye was ready. With a single thought, the Minecraft inventory opened instantly. A large number of iron blocks appeared in his hands—materials he had obtained by smelting scrap metal at the waste recycling station. Supported by the "little rich girl" Hong Ying and the Night Watchman squad, he had prepared plenty of basic supplies during this period. Iron blocks, flint and steel, lava buckets—he had everything.

Once the oversized synthetic diamond customized by the Night Watchmen arrived, he would be able to unlock diamond gear and enchantment technology, boosting his strength significantly.

But for now, iron blocks were enough.

Lin Qiye moved with lightning speed. Iron blocks stacked rapidly before him, forming a simple yet sturdy steel barrier several meters thick. The wall was seamless, leaving only a hole the size of a trapdoor at the top. His face appeared faintly within the gap, that god-like visage still radiating soul-stirring charm and drawing the serpent offspring into a frenzy.

"Charge! Tear down this wretched wall!"

"That face! That perfect face!"

"I want him! I want him to be my host!"

The serpent offspring went completely insane. Their reason had already been shattered by [Transcendent Charm], leaving only primitive possessiveness.

As the first wave was about to slam into the iron wall, Lin Qiye flipped open the iron trapdoor.

A bucket of scorching lava poured down from above.

Orange-red molten rock cascaded along the edges of the iron blocks, its temperature exceeding a thousand degrees. The moment the lava touched the ground, it produced a terrifying sizzling sound. The concrete floor blackened and cracked instantly.

The lava spread rapidly, forming a deadly sea of molten rock.

But Lin Qiye didn't stop there.

He pulled out the flint and steel and began striking sparks along the edges of the iron blocks and the ground not yet covered by lava.

Snap!

Snap!

Snap!

Sparks burst outward. Flames erupted instantly.

The inferno and the lava merged into a raging sea of fire. Waves of heat distorted the surrounding air.

Having finished, Lin Qiye quickly closed the trapdoor. Inside the iron barrier, he was perfectly safe. Outside, lava surged and flames roared—enough to reduce an ordinary person to charcoal in seconds.

Yet the strange properties of Minecraft blocks manifested here: they did not conduct heat.

Inside the barrier, it remained cool.

"Aaaah—!"

Shrill screams erupted from the sea of fire.

The serpent offspring at the front plunged directly into the lava. Their scales burned away instantly. Flesh melted under the brutal heat.

Even so, they kept crawling forward.

The pull of [Transcendent Charm] was irresistible. They would rather burn to ash than abandon the chance to reach Lin Qiye.

"So beautiful!"

The students on the playground seemed unable to look away from Lin Qiye's face. Even as the hideous serpent monsters burned before them, their attention remained fixed on him.

Hong Ying stopped holding back.

"[Rose-Fire Feathered Dress]!"

She shouted as her power surged to its limit. Fire-red, feather-shaped energy spread from her back, each feather blazing with scorching flames.

The spear in her hand ignited with spiraling crimson fire, its temperature far exceeding ordinary flames.

She charged into the chaotic serpent swarm.

Her spear swept outward—

Flames exploded.

"Die, you disgusting things!"

Wherever the spear passed, serpent offspring were reduced to charcoal. Hong Ying's flames combined with the sea of fire created by Lin Qiye, multiplying the destruction. Groups of serpent offspring wailed as they burned in the inferno. The air filled with the stench of charred flesh.

Si Xiaonan did not remain idle.

Several throwing knives appeared in her hands, the blades gleaming coldly in the sunlight.

Whoosh—

Whoosh—

Whoosh—

The knives flew precisely toward serpent offspring attempting to bypass the sea of fire. Each one struck a vital point.

With the coordinated attack of the Night Watchman squad, the serpent offspring on the playground were quickly wiped out. Charred corpses littered the ground, and the smell of death hung thick in the air.

But Lin Qiye's expression remained tense.

His keen mental perception caught something unusual.

"In the direction of the girls' dormitory..."

A large number of life auras were not present at the flag-raising ceremony. Among them were dozens that felt identical to the serpent offspring they had just killed—only more concealed.

"There are more."

Lin Qiye stepped out from the iron barrier and put his sunglasses and mask back on.

"In the girls' dormitory building."

Hong Ying and Si Xiaonan exchanged glances, their expressions growing solemn.

"The aura there is stronger," Si Xiaonan said with a frown. "It might be the main body of the serpent monster."

Without hesitation, the three rushed toward the girls' dormitory.

The building was eerily quiet.

The hallway was empty, faint daylight filtering in through the windows. Yet Lin Qiye could clearly sense the immense danger hidden within the building.

They entered cautiously and climbed the stairs. Each floor was deathly silent, as though no one had ever lived there.

Until they reached the sixth floor.

On the balcony of one dormitory room, they discovered a horrifying sight.

More than a dozen human skins—completely peeled off—hung from the clothesline.

The skin still glistened with fresh blood, swaying gently in the breeze.

Some of the faces looked disturbingly familiar.

Si Xiaonan's face turned pale.

"It looks like the serpent monster's main body is in this building," she said, her voice trembling.

Even for Night Watchmen accustomed to confronting mysterious horrors, the scene was chilling.

Hong Ying tightened her grip on her spear, flames flickering along the tip.

"These beasts..." she muttered through clenched teeth.

At that moment, an inhuman shriek echoed from the end of the hallway.

Hiss, hiss, hiss—

The once-kind dormitory manager appeared at the far end of the corridor.

But she was no longer human.

Her body expanded and twisted violently, shredding her clothes. Her skin split open down the middle, revealing blue-black snake scales beneath. Fetid mucus dripped from the wounds, tapping against the floor.

Her eyes had become vertical slits filled with cold killing intent.

"Humans... dare to... destroy..."

Her voice sounded hoarse and distorted, as though two voices spoke simultaneously.

She blocked their path.

Hong Ying and Si Xiaonan attacked immediately.

"[Rose-Fire Feathered Dress]!"

Hong Ying's spear moved like a dragon. Flames burst outward as the spear thrust toward the mutated manager's heart.

But the creature's reaction speed was astonishing.

Her body twisted like a snake, dodging the strike with ease. At the same moment, her arms extended and her fingernails lengthened into razor-sharp claws that lunged toward Hong Ying.

Si Xiaonan provided support from the side, her throwing knives streaking toward the creature's vital points.

But the scales covering the manager's body were as hard as iron. The knives left only shallow scratches.

"This thing's defense is too strong!" Si Xiaonan gritted her teeth.

Then every door in the dormitory hallway swung open at once.

Creak—

Creak—

Door after door opened.

More serpent offspring emerged from the shadows.

They appeared in grotesque forms. Some still resembled humans, while others had become fully serpentine. Some wore fragments of student uniforms, their faces twisted beyond recognition. Others had lower bodies transformed into snake tails that slithered rapidly across the floor.

They quickly surrounded Hong Ying and Si Xiaonan.

"Damn it!"

Hong Ying glanced around grimly.

There were too many of them.

And inside this narrow hallway, her flame ability could not be fully unleashed.

"Qiye!"

To avoid harming ordinary students who might still be inside the dormitory, she called for Lin Qiye's help.
