Chapter 889 - Chapter 360: Expel Umbridge! (Part 2)

"Harry!" Draco suddenly shouted, "Shouldn't you be teaching the Defense Against the Dark Arts class?"

Seeing that his classmates misunderstood, Harry immediately raised his hand.

"Wait a minute!" he said, "Wait a minute, everyone—there are significant scheduling conflicts between other year groups' Defense Against the Dark Arts classes and my own courses, so I think it's better to let the professors select a more qualified candidate to teach the class."

Snape said nothing, but he subtly straightened his chest.

A more qualified person?

Aside from me, Severus Snape, who has substituted for the Defense Against the Dark Arts class multiple times, who else could be qualified?

"This matter will be decided next week, Potter," Professor McGonagall smiled at Harry, "There's still half a term before the holiday. I think we should first put out a recruitment notice to see if anyone is willing to become the Hogwarts Professor of Defense Against the Dark Arts, don't you think?"

"You are right." Harry nodded in agreement.

"Alright, students of each House," Professor McGonagall raised her hand, "I hope you can return to your respective common rooms or go to the Great Hall for dinner, rather than gathering here, okay?"

The crowd quickly dispersed, and that pink toad, Umbridge, seemed to have disappeared as well.

Harry certainly wouldn't say that he used a magic spell to send the toad to the surroundings of the Great Lakes in America.

Let it take root and make a home in America!

Most importantly, keep it away from the UK and let it be a nuisance to America.

However, when the four Houses' students returned to their common rooms in the evening, no one felt like going to sleep.

The reason being, the most detestable person got kicked out of the school, and of course, everyone felt delighted!

So, the students spontaneously gathered in the common room and started a party.

Anyway, tomorrow is the weekend, and there are no classes, so they could go wild all they wanted.

Especially the Hufflepuff students, taking advantage of being close to the Hogwarts kitchen, managed to get a bunch of delicious food.

The Gryffindor students were not to be outdone; they all ran down from the tower and snuck to the kitchen to find food.

Fitch, who was supposed to patrol the castle, seemed to have vanished today.

No one knew what he was doing—except himself.

Fitch was now holding Mrs. Loli, lying on a recliner, humming songs contentedly.

Umbridge was gone, and even Fitch felt immensely relieved.

He had no choice; Umbridge had always bossed him around at school, never took him seriously, and had a bad habit—she pretended to like Mrs. Loli, but once Mrs. Loli got close, she would show extreme disgust.

What's with this toad that loves cats?

Only likes to indulge in the self-righteous "morality" of loving cats, but doesn't like real contact, right?

Good riddance that the toad got kicked out, Fitch thought contentedly, he wouldn't bother those young wizards, and if he wasn't on bad terms with them, he'd definitely join the celebration himself.

The Slytherins, after holding back for a long time, eventually joined the celebration.

Even they despised Umbridge, though she had tried to win them over.

Come on, who, with nothing better to do, would listen to Umbridge's wooing?

If it was in the 1991 school year, maybe people would be tempted.

But so many years have passed, and the Slytherins have witnessed Potter's prowess.

Hail Potter (not)!

Who in their right mind would choose to embrace Umbridge?

Why cling to Harry's huge advantage? His girlfriend is the Minister of Magic, and he himself is the successor to the strongest wizard of the century.

Moreover, with a Malfoy in Slytherin, constantly persuading others to follow Harry, it's clear that although they still have grievances with Gryffindor—being arch enemies—they've long lost any animosity toward Harry.

Harry did not join in the celebration; he was talking with Cassandra.

"I've heard about your deeds at the school, Harry." Cassandra said, an expression of utter disdain on her face, "Seems like you're still indulging in the pursuit of false fame, tsk..."

"I have a proposition." Harry ignored Cassandra's sarcasm, after all these years, he'd grown used to it, "Umbridge has been expelled from Hogwarts, and the position of Professor of Defense Against the Dark Arts is vacant now, are you interested?"

As he said this, Harry couldn't help but think.

Looks like Hogwarts will have another sharp-tongued professor besides the Magic Potion Class.

Just thinking about Cassandra's more piercing words than Snape's amused Harry.

I want to see this! That's exactly what I want to see!

The hardships I endured back then, my classmates should experience that too!

Sure enough, upon hearing Harry's words, Cassandra became interested.

"I'm a bit interested, Harry." Cassandra pondered for a moment, then asked, "So, whom should I apply to? Professor Dumbledore?"

"Dumbledore isn't around recently," Harry thought for a moment, then said, "You could try the Deputy Headmaster, Professor McGonagall… Deputy Headmaster... But I think you could talk to Pabi since she's a school trustee, don't you think?"

Hearing Pabi's name, Cassandra nodded knowingly.

"You reminded me, I almost forgot that mule is a trustee, haha..."

As she said this, Cassandra looked at Harry meaningfully.

Of course, she knew that Pabi's trustee position was maneuvered by Harry, as the Swedding Clan didn't have the power or influence to secure a trustee seat.

"She's a unicorn!" Harry said weakly, "Do you know what a unicorn is? Not a mule… You really have no manners!"

Cassandra said nothing, just smiled slightly, looking very pleased.

"You should discuss this matter with Pabi." Harry snorted, "I hope when you talk to Pabi, you maintain this rebelliousness and directly call her a mule..."

Cassandra rolled her eyes adorably, not replying.

I'm not stupid, she thought, there's no way I'd directly call Pabi a mule.

"By the way." Harry said again, "The godfather has become the Minister of Magic for the UK, you should know this by now, right?"

"Yes, I know." Cassandra nodded slightly, "I've prepared a congratulatory gift for him, after all, he is our godfather, isn't he? Of course, Lucius has also prepared some gifts, heh… that grandson."

If someone else had said that, it would sound like they were insulting Lucius.

But if Cassandra says it, she's just stating the fact.

Lucius is indeed her grandson, and Cassandra, as the grandmother, finds herself lamenting at how each generation seems worse than the last.

Sigh, once upon a time, my Cassandra Malfoy's brothers were quite the outstanding achievers… how did the descendants turn out to be...

Never mind, it's all tears.

"Lucius has always had a good relationship with the godfather, right? I remember Narcissa is the godfather's cousin." Harry said with a smile, "With this relationship, Little Sirius is definitely going to look after the Malfoy family."

"Ha." Cassandra's eyes sparkled as she scoffed disdainfully, "The esteemed Malfoy family has been reduced to needing someone's care, truly fallen..."

Harry thought for a moment but didn't refute it.

After all, once you've seen the ocean, nothing else compares.

"Additionally," Cassandra spoke up again, "My father wants you to return to Malfoy Manor, he has something to discuss with you."

"Mr. Septimus?" Harry's heart tightened.

He didn't know why, but facing Old Malfoy made him feel extremely uneasy...
