Chapter 890 - Chapter 2: Cassandra's First Encounter and the Sorting Ceremony

Seeing the little girl, Gareth suddenly sat up straight and looked out the window.

The little girl didn't look at Gareth, or rather, her purpose for coming here wasn't for Gareth.

"So, they said it was true."

The girl spoke, her voice arrogant and somewhat domineering.

This kind of tone was something Harry hadn't experienced before, and he instinctively disliked it.

"Among this year's new students, is there a boy with… a scar on his forehead?" The girl asked again.

Harry knew this was about him.

"Hello, miss." He couldn't pretend not to hear like Gareth, so he greeted her.

"Tell me your name." The girl said.

"Harry, Harry Potter." Harry's voice was quite uncertain.

This was the Magic World, and the girl in front of him was obviously a lady from some prominent family, and Harry, who was alone, didn't dare offend her.

"Potter…" The girl became alert, "Are you from the Potter family?"

"No, no." Harry quickly shook his head, "I'm an orphan, not someone from the Potter family."

The girl nodded.

"Sorry." Even her apology was extremely domineering, "I am Cassandra Malfoy, you will remember that name."

"Okay, Miss Malfoy." Harry quickly nodded.

Cassandra looked at Harry's scar on his forehead once more, then turned and left.

Harry breathed a sigh of relief.

"Who is she?" Harry cautiously asked Gareth, lowering his voice as if afraid Cassandra would hear.

"You don't even know her!" Gareth seemed to have heard something unbelievable, and then he realized: "Oh, it's not surprising, you're from a Muggle background, not knowing the Malfoy family is quite normal—remember, never provoke her, that is my advice to you, if you make her angry, the consequences will be very serious."

"Ah?" Harry scratched his head, "Why?"

"Her father is Septimus Malfoy!" Gareth's voice was small, yet powerful, "Do you understand? That Mr. Malfoy, everyone says he is the true Minister of Magic, the current Minister of Magic is merely a puppet of their family—and his son, Cassandra Malfoy's brother, Ignatius Malfoy, is an excellent wizard who achieved twelve O's in the O.W.Ls! Mr. Malfoy is also a board member at Hogwarts, if you anger Miss Malfoy, if she tells her father just once, you'll be expelled from school!"

Harry suddenly had a concept of Miss Malfoy's status; she was a lady he couldn't afford to offend.

"I understand, Gareth." Harry nodded, seriously.

"I truly don't know why Miss Malfoy would be interested in you." Gareth shook his head, "I heard her temperament isn't very good—rather, she's quite arrogant, hard to get along with."

Is that so?

Harry shook his head, not taking it seriously.

He knew he and Miss Malfoy were from two different worlds, maybe this young lady was just curious and wanted to see what a child from the Muggle World was like.

"By the way." Gareth said again, "Have you decided which house you want to be in?"

"Not yet." Harry replied honestly, "I don't know what houses Hogwarts has—oh, which house is Principal Black in?"

"Slytherin." Gareth replied, "Oh, Merlin's socks, Principal Black is the most unpopular principal in history, many people have told me that!"

The most unpopular principal?

Harry recalled his experiences during the scholarship meeting when he saw Principal Black...

"I'm definitely not going to Slytherin!" He stated emphatically.

"Why?" Gareth asked.

"Because Principal Black is from Slytherin." Harry shrugged.

The train continued rumbling forward, and the sky gradually darkened.

"I think we need to change into robes, Harry." Gareth urged, "It seems we're about to arrive at Hogwarts, we need to be ready."

Harry glanced out the window; it was already dark, and he saw the silhouette of mountains and forest under the deep purple sky.

At this time, the train seemed to slow down.

"In five minutes the train will arrive at Hogwarts, please leave your luggage on the train, we will send it to the school for you."

This voice echoed through the train, and Harry felt so nervous his stomach churned, Gareth also looked pale.

"Oh, the sorting." Gareth seemed to think of something unpleasant, "Auntie told me, the sorting seems to involve fighting a Giant, my goodness…"

"Giant?" Harry clearly didn't know what a Giant was.

"It's just…" Gareth thought for a long time, unable to come up with a suitable adjective.

The train slowed down and finally stopped. Passengers jostled each other, rushing toward the train door, and stepped onto the dark and small platform.

The night's chill made Harry shiver, then a lantern swung above the students, and Harry heard a voice with a very strange accent shout: "First-year students, first-year students over here!"

Harry stood on tiptoe to see, seeing a middle-aged man standing high, holding a lantern.

"I am the key keeper, Gladwin Moon, from Cao County." He introduced himself.

Mr. Yue's features were Asian, slightly oil-slicked, and he had small eyes.

They followed Mr. Yue's footsteps, advancing along the path to the lakeside, and boarded boats in groups of three or five.
