Chapter 482 - Chapter 186: When It Comes to Persecuting Snape, the Plunderers Are Professionals (Part 4)

"We want to inquire about information regarding Death, as well as the Demon King," Dumbledore said to Mr. Leme. "Sybil Trelawney, who is the great-granddaughter of the legendary Prophet Cassandra Trelawney, has made a prophecy concerning Voldemort..."

Dumbledore repeated Professor Trelawney's prophecy, watching as Mr. Leme fell into deep thought.

"Since you are so confident her prophecy is correct, then let me ask you," Mr. Leme lifted his head and said, "Newt seems to have already stated that Voldemort has aligned with Death—so now we have a problem. Trelawney's prophecy conflicts with Newt's words—who are we to believe?"

At that moment, Newt also entered the Alchemy Room.

Upon hearing Professor Trelawney's prophecy, Newt awkwardly lowered his head.

"Sorry, I've only heard it said by the wizards of the United States," he said with his head down. "I don't know the exact circumstances of who Voldemort has aligned with; at least, the American wizards believe he has aligned with Death."

The Alchemy Room fell into contemplation, with everyone pondering various possibilities.

"How about..." Harry tentatively suggested, "like I said before in the Headmaster's Office, perhaps we could summon Death to ask her directly about what happened, and whether Voldemort has aligned with her."

"Do you think Death would answer you?" Newt asked with a sideways glance. "Or do you think Death is easy to talk to?"

Harry thought for a moment, then nodded and said, "I've seen Death in Cassandra's Consciousness Space, and she's quite easy to talk to—I think she's a very kind old lady."

Everyone looked at Harry with expressions of "excuse me?"

Is Death easy to talk to?

But Cassandra did not oppose what Harry said; in fact, she had also seen Death and found her not as unapproachable as one might think.

At least, if Death really wanted to take her away, she wouldn't have been able to escape.

Just at this moment, Mr. Leme shuffled over to the library.

After a while, he returned with a large book in his arms.

He slammed the book on the table, flipped through a few pages, and looked up, saying, "I think Harry's words are worth considering. I've also met Lady Death, and she indeed is not an unapproachable being—look, this book even has a method for summoning Death—if the Lady Death I met and the old lady Harry mentioned are the same."

"But this Death is depicted wearing a black cloak and holding a scythe," Cassandra pointed to the illustration of Death. "The Death we saw wore a black coat instead..."

"Times have changed, Miss Malfoy," Mr. Leme sighed. "You can't expect an old lady to always wear such a worn-out black cloak, can you? Doesn't Death have the right to pursue fashion?"

You know, what Mr. Leme said makes sense.

Death indeed has the right to chase fashion, and replacing a black cloak with a black coat is not hard to accept.

What about the scythe? Replace it with what?

A black FN-57? Or a P90?

"Look," Mr. Leme pointed to the array depicted in the illustration. "We need to use special blood to draw such an array and gather the following alchemy materials in a bowl to ignite them, to summon a Death into the present world—but just temporarily."

"Why would there be such a magic spell?" Harry asked, frowning.

"There are always people who want to see their deceased loved ones," Mr. Leme glanced at the contemplative Dumbledore. "The legendary Resurrection Stone can summon the souls of the deceased by crossing the boundary between life and death, but there's only one Resurrection Stone, and nobody knows where it is. So, those ancient alchemists made a contract with Death to invent this method."

"What if Death wants to kill us?" Vivi asked.

"This array is not only for summoning Death, but also for entrapping her," Newt said, leaning next to Mr. Leme, reading the description from the book, "However, I don't think an array could trap Death, just like those charms over there—Merlin, I don't believe a simple magic spell could expel an Angel or Demon from a room with an expulsion curse..."

"I'm sorry to tell you, Newt."

Mr. Leme said leisurely, "I've tried most of the talismans on here; in 1466 in France, I once used this talisman to expel a demon."

Newt was stunned to hear what Mr. Leme said; he hadn't expected that Mr. Leme had actual combat achievements.

Achievements verifiable, so to speak.

"A demon?" Harry asked with interest. "Are there really demons in this world?"

"Oh, Harry," Mr. Leme smiled mysteriously at Harry, "Did you believe in wizards before you received your Hogwarts acceptance letter?"

You know, Mr. Leme does have a point.

"So what alchemy materials are needed exactly?" Harry stretched his head to look at the book, "Let me see... Cerberus fur, Nether River Flower, and some Dragon Scales... I know about Dragon Scales and Cerberus fur, wasn't the guardian on the trapdoor once a Cerberus? But what is Nether River Flower?"

"Well..." Mr. Leme thought for a moment and said to Harry, "In my collection, I have some Nether River Flowers; they were once the treasure of the Eastern Roman Empire's Imperial Family..."
