Chapter 125 - 125 The Conspiracy of the Sages of the Ny Sar Sea

As the torrential rain fell around them, Cadmus's green eyes stared at the two women with a curious gaze. As for the business Yennefer was talking about, he was indeed curious.

Cadmus remained silent for a moment; only the sound of the rain hung around them. The forest seemed to darken even more. Then, the Court Mage smiled and spoke in a gentle and courteous tone: "Very well, I am curious about what you want to negotiate, but keep in mind that if it does not satisfy my curiosity, you will have to pay to leave this continent."

Yennefer's smile grew wider. She did not fear demands, but rather the lack of them. As long as Cadmus could accept the start of negotiations, she had confidence in making him accept the deal.

"Can we go to a more suitable place, my lord?" Yennefer asked with a smile, looking at Cadmus.

"Of course, let's go to my tent." Cadmus touched the shoulders of the two women and Apparated.

When Yennefer felt her feet on the ground again, she let out a relieved sigh. She couldn't help but look at Cadmus with a strange gaze. "This way of teleporting is... quite unusual, my lord."

She wasn't lying; it was quite unusual to use one's own body as part of the magic. It was not only dangerous but also strange. If someone missed the teleportation location by even a few milliseconds, the mage would likely have their body split into several pieces scattered across the world.

Cadmus twitched his lips and did not deny Yennefer's words. Unlike other universes where portal magic was common, the Harry Potter universe's method was more direct, using the body as part of the magic itself.

The court mage had long wanted the spell to open portals, but Stregobor's memories were not easily extracted. Cadmus had to torture the man for a long time just to get the location of Ban Ard.

"Let's not talk about my magic, let's get down to business." Cadmus sat on one of the sofas and, with a snap of his fingers, silver cups floated in the air and the wine pitcher filled the cups without needing any human help.

"My Lord really doesn't know how to have a conversation with a beautiful lady." Yennefer looked with curiosity at the objects moving in the air. Then, she looked at Cadmus and spoke with a touch of resentment, as if blaming him for not wanting to have a friendly conversation before anything else.

"I am a married man, and my wife is not exactly the gentlest woman in the world. If she finds out you are flirting with me, she might turn you into a piece of medium-rare meat." Cadmus shrugged and spoke with a smile.

He hated betrayal and naturally would not betray his wife. Of course, if Daenerys agreed, he wouldn't mind sharing his bed with other women.

As for the extraordinary beauty of Yennefer and Triss, Cadmus was immune. Having Daenerys as a wife, it was hard to find another woman more beautiful than his own wife. Of course, another point was that Cadmus was not a man who thought only with his lower head.

Whether it was Yennefer or Triss, both looked at Cadmus with different gazes. They knew better than anyone how beautiful they were. It was almost impossible for a man to refuse their flirting. So, seeing Cadmus's refusal because of his wife was quite impressive in their eyes.

"Before we begin, I have to ask something." Drinking some wine, Yennefer spoke and looked at Cadmus with a naturally mysterious and seductive gaze. "Is Stregobor still alive?"

"He's dead." Cadmus confirmed the death of the Grand Master of Ban Ard without any hesitation. After knowing the location of the academy and how difficult it was to try to undermine the mage's strong will, he wasted no more time and killed Stregobor.

He could have left Stregobor alive and tried for longer, but with the war at his doorstep and fearing that Stregobor might escape, he simply killed the mage.

A joyful look flashed in Yennefer's eyes; she even laughed and thanked him with a surprisingly sincere tone. "Thank you for killing that beast in human skin."

This time, it was Cadmus who felt curious. He could feel Yennefer's anger toward Stregobor. This was interesting, as he felt that without Geralt by her side, the sorceress wouldn't have so many crazy adventures. However, it seems it was exactly the opposite; Yennefer continued to be a flower full of thorns and a hurricane in human form, causing chaos wherever she went.

As if noticing his curiosity, Yennefer didn't mind and spoke in an even more cheerful and light tone. "Stregobor was a monster; he hunted hundreds of innocent girls to prove his sick prophecy. Even the Supreme Council of Mages repudiated what was found in his dungeon."

"I was one of those responsible for invading Stregobor's Magic Tower and witnessing the madness he did to those poor girls. He didn't even spare the children." Yennefer said with clenched teeth, remembering the horrible scene she saw in the Magic Tower.

Dozens of children and teenagers naked and hoisted by steel chains to the dungeon ceiling; all the girls had their bodies opened while they were still alive. Organs could be seen on shelves, preserved in jars.

Cadmus frowned at the mention of Stregobor's experiments. Remembering his words to Daenerys, Cadmus's mood immediately became cold and indifferent. Just thinking that Daenerys could suffer at the hands of that mage made his blood boil with fury.

The magic within Cadmus reacted to his extreme emotions; the entire tent seemed to be under the effect of a gravity chamber. Yennefer and Triss immediately felt the effects and held their breath. Their bodies bowed before the colossal amount of magic distorting reality around them.

Yennefer knew Cadmus was strong, but she still felt she was underestimating the mage. It was ten times worse than what Triss had commented. It was a magic so dense and colossal that it made the air seem liquid.

Clenching her teeth, Yennefer created a shield around herself and Triss, making her breathe heavily. She looked at Cadmus with a bright gaze; it wasn't fear, but pure admiration.

Regardless of the world, the strong were always respected. Especially in this world, where strength always spoke louder than anything else.

Realizing what was happening, Cadmus calmed his emotions and quickly dispelled the suffocating and heavy atmosphere. Showing an apologetic smile, he spoke in a tone: "I apologize for my rudeness."

"It's alright, you just got ten times hotter. A man who protects his wife so strongly is very attractive." Yennefer didn't mind; it only showed that he was a good husband.

If a man didn't get angry at the possible tragic fate of his own wife, it was hard to find what would make him angry. So, whether it was Yennefer or Triss, neither felt anger or resentment for what had just happened.

On the contrary, both Yennefer and Triss felt that he was more reliable.

"What do you want, my lady?" Cadmus asked, rolling his eyes, but there was a satisfied smile on his lips. Being praised by beautiful women was a very good thing.

"When I attacked Stregobor's Magic Tower, I discovered a special girl." Yennefer showed a solemn expression and said in a deep tone.

She thought for a moment and continued speaking: "Stregobor had just captured her and didn't have time to study her, but he recorded in one of his diaries that the girl had the innate ability to teleport. According to the diary, a green glow is seen when she teleports."

Yennefer let out a sigh full of admiration: "The most incredible thing is that this girl is not a mage or even received a magical education. The ability is like a natural instinct of her body, just like breathing."

Cadmus's eyes lit up at Yennefer's words; he already had an answer in his mind.

"However, the girl cannot control her power and opens rifts in space, essentially opening bridges to other worlds, where monsters emerge from these rifts and try to kill her." Yennefer spoke in a helpless tone.

Yennefer had tried everything, but the girl's powers were simply uncontrollable.

"I want you to help me give this girl a normal and dignified life." Yennefer spoke in a solemn tone.

"In exchange, I will give you all the knowledge you want, even if it's the forbidden books of Aretuza."
