As soon as I got home, I had a quick snack and went to my room. After taking a shower, I sat down at my computer and started working on a new Dragon Ball chapter. I laid out the panels in minutes, then began adding speech bubbles and drawing.
While working on the drawings, I decided to add a few new elements.
I tried to make the impact scenes even more intense, and I also added some hidden messages and hints about what might happen in the future—things only very attentive readers would notice.
That way, theories about future events can start forming, which further increases the popularity of the work.
I remember One Piece having a lot of things like that. Unfortunately, I was never a big fan, so I didn't read all the chapters.
If I were to create One Piece in this world, I'd have to use the first 200 chapters as a base and then create something completely original afterward.
Since people in this world don't know the original version, they would probably enjoy my version—but I'm not sure if I want to do that. It's something to think about. For now, I still have many works I want to create first.
Novels and manga.
Maybe even some manhwa, although that format isn't really "accepted" in Japan.
"Unless I turn a manhwa into a manga by changing the paneling and the way the story is told."
I have the talent for that.
I smiled and continued drawing the chapter.
A few hours later, I had finished two chapters of Dragon Ball and was already starting chapter 11.
However, I took a break, opened the file for Tensura Volume 1, and began typing.
I'm much faster at writing novels than drawing manga, even though I'm efficient at both. Still, after writing just ten pages, my mother called me for dinner.
I stood up and stretched.
"Ugh! My body's sore. I shouldn't stay seated for so many hours straight. I need to exercise more."
As soon as I sat down at the dinner table, my father asked, "What were you doing?"
"Working on Dragon Ball chapters."
"I see. I'm looking forward to its release. I'm curious about how the public will receive it."
"Yeah, me too."
I'm almost certain it'll be a success, but it's impossible not to feel anxious.
And then, the next week arrived.

POV: Third Person
Haruto Aizawa was lying in his dorm room when he suddenly remembered something important.
"The final volume of Overlord is being released today!"
He shouted and jumped out of bed.
He was nineteen years old and in his first year of college.
Haruto quickly put on clean clothes without even taking a shower and rushed out of the dorm. He hopped on his bicycle and pedaled at full speed toward a nearby bookstore. Since it was only 9:30 a.m., the store had just opened—he didn't expect there to be a line.
But…
"Damn it! Why are there so many people!?" Haruto stared in disbelief at the line wrapping around the block.
Some people were wearing shirts with Overlord characters on them. Everyone was there for the same reason—to buy the final volume of Overlord.
When was the last time Haruto had seen something like this?
No… maybe he had never seen a phenomenon this big.
The final volume had been announced just last week, and now, only a week later, it was already released. Haruto had never seen a volume published so quickly after its announcement—it was surprising.
But even more surprising was that everyone had been prepared and arrived much earlier than him.
There were probably people who had been there since five in the morning!
Tsk!
Haruto clicked his tongue and pulled out his phone. He checked the map and searched for another nearby bookstore.
But when he got there—another massive line.
People in line were excitedly discussing Overlord.
"Hey, I'm so hyped. How do you think the final volume will go?"
"I don't know, but I'm sure Ainz will conquer the world. He's ruthless and merciless."
"I think he's actually quite human. I don't know if he'll be able to destroy the world or dominate all humans. Deep down, he's soft."
"Were you even reading the same story as me? Hahaha!"
Haruto felt disappointed in himself.
He considered himself the biggest fan of Overlord and the author Aoi Haruki—but these people were even bigger fans than him!
They had been there since four or five in the morning!
Haruto watched as people left the bookstore holding volume 17 of Overlord, opening it immediately to start reading right there.
He visited several bookstores one after another, but all of them were packed, and the volumes were selling like water.
So Haruto took the train and headed to Akihabara.
But when he arrived, he immediately regretted it.
Everything was chaotic.
There were so many people—far too many.
Advertisements for the final volume of Overlord were everywhere. There were countless cosplays of Albedo and other characters, and the noise was overwhelming. He had never seen Akihabara like this before.
"Overlord really is something special," he said with a smile as he joined one of the lines.
There was no point in rushing, after all.
But when it was finally his turn to buy—
"Sold out. More copies will arrive tomorrow."
He couldn't get it that day.
Fortunately, he managed to buy it the next day. The stores were still packed, but reprints were being produced at full speed.
'This will definitely break the sales record held by volume 1 of Overlord.'
Haruto smiled and returned to his dorm.
As soon as he got back and opened the first page, he was completely absorbed in volume 17. He couldn't stop reading.
That very day, the light novel sales rankings were posted on Twitter.
On the first day alone, volume 17 of Overlord sold more than 90,000 copies.
