The bonus chapter will be posted later along with the second chapter of the day :)
I'll try to write several chapters today to increase the number of chapters on Patreon xD

When the next day came—the last day of the month—I got up to go to school and had breakfast with my parents. As soon as I left the house, the driver, Daiki, was already waiting for me outside.
He asked how I usually got to school, and I told him I took a taxi or Uber every day. So he said he would take me to school from now on. Every time I leave the house, he's already there waiting.
"Good morning, Mr. Kyo."
"Good morning, Daiki. Did you sleep well?"
"Yes, I slept very well. And you?"
"Daiki, I already told you not to call me 'sir.' I'm too young, and it makes me uncomfortable."
"My apologies, Mr… Kyo." He smiled as the car started moving.
Then I took my MacBook out of my bag and started typing the first pages of the A Silent Voice script. I don't have experience writing scripts—especially for animated films—so I looked up a few old scripts and read through them.
After reading just once, I got a general idea of how an anime film script is structured. It's much more direct in conveying emotions, without too many details. From what I found, most of the detailed work is handled by the director or storyboard artist.
Still, I can't write without describing the environment and the characters' emotions in detail. I also want to try improving the original film's dialogue, which is already very good. With a small smile, I kept typing quickly.
I remembered the opening scenes—the attempted suicide by Ishida is really difficult to write.
When I'm writing, I can feel even more emotion than when I'm watching something.
Writing the scenes where Shouko is bullied will definitely be tough.
"What are you writing, Kyo?" Daiki asked curiously.
"A script."
"A script!?" He sounded surprised.
"Yeah. You know I'm a popular light novel author, right?"
"Yes, of course."
"Toho contacted me and asked me to write the script for an animated film. They're partnering with Studio Pierrot."
"Oh? That's impressive. Do they know who you are?"
"No, I've never shown my face to them. But I already have experience with this kind of thing." I gave a wry smile.
"Well, but we're talking about Toho. Didn't you sign a contract with them? The series you'll be in is produced by them, right?"
"That's right."
"I wonder what they'll think when they find out that the actor in one of their series is the same Aoi Haruki they're trying so hard to hire." Daiki laughed, and I laughed along with him.
Soon after, we arrived at school, and I put my MacBook away.
As soon as I stepped out of the black car, many people looked at me—but I ignored them.
"Have a good day. I'll pick you up at the usual time."
"See you later, Daiki."
He stepped on the gas, and the car quickly disappeared.
As soon as he left, Mirai appeared right behind me.
"I'm still not used to this. You actually have a driver…"
"Not just a driver—I also have a manager."
"Are you hiding something?"
Since the series and its cast haven't been announced to the public yet, I can't say anything.
Speaking of which, it's taking a long time for the series to be announced and for filming to begin.
"I'm not hiding anything," I told Mirai as I picked up my pace.
As soon as I entered the classroom, I sat down and let out a long sigh.
'I can't wait for lunchtime. Miu said she'd bring something for me to read today.'

As soon as lunch break started, I grabbed my bag—with my MacBook inside—and quickly left the classroom. I headed to our usual bench and sat down to wait for Miu.
While waiting, I ate a cereal bar, drank a juice box, and then started writing again. The script had to keep moving forward.
"The beginning of the film is really painful to write."
I can't quite explain it, but writing things like this doesn't make me feel good.
But I have to do it.
'But will they accept this script? After all, it's a heavy theme—not something commonly explored in Japanese media in this world.'
Well, we'll find out when I send it to them.
I kept typing, and the pages filled up quickly—fourth page, fifth page, sixth page…
They were filling up fast because I made a point of including a lot of detail, especially in the dialogue. I try to write in a way that conveys strong emotion.
That way, when the director reads the script, they'll feel something—and try to recreate that emotion. That's what I want.
A Silent Voice is a beautiful film. It deserves recognition.
A lot of recognition in this world. This world needs to know this story.
As I kept typing, someone sat down beside me.
I turned and saw Miu.
"Sorry, I didn't see you arrive—I was distracted."
"Were you writing the same thing as always?"
"No, this is something new. It's a drama… a very heavy one, but also beautiful."
"Now I'm curious to read it," Miu said, her eyes shining.
"Unfortunately, I can't let you read it. But I brought something for you. And you—what did you write?"
Miu doesn't usually carry her bag with her, so she's definitely hiding something inside.
She gently opened her bag and took out a stack of stapled papers. It looked like a book.
"A Girl Without Direction."
That's the title.
"This is something I've been writing for a while. It's not finished yet, but it's over two hundred pages… I've been building up the courage to give it to you all this time…"
"A Girl Without Direction… that's an interesting title. What is it about?"
"Well…" Miu gave a bitter smile. "You could say it's about someone I know."
"Hmm… I see. Is it a drama?"
"Yeah… something like that."
I put her manuscript into my bag, then took out another stack of papers. It was an original story I had written—not something copied from my previous world. I didn't use my full ability, just enough to have something to give her.
It's a short story with less than 100 pages—a simple, lighthearted story about two friends who end up falling in love.
When she saw the title, Miu laughed.
"'Simple Romance'? What kind of name is that?"
"I'm not good at coming up with interesting titles, so I just wrote that."
"I see. I'll definitely read it."
"I'll read yours too. Let's meet here next Tuesday, alright?"
"Yes!" Miu said enthusiastically. She seems to be getting happier as the days go by.
She's slowly changing.
Miu then walked away, and I watched her back with a smile.
"This girl…"
