I'll post an extra chapter every 300 Power Stones. Good luck with that!

The day of the meeting with the recruiter from Amuse Inc had finally arrived. Before heading to the interview, I sent an email to Mr. Kuroda with volume 1 of Oregairu attached. Now all I can do is wait for a positive response.
There's no way they won't like this first volume.
Right after sending the email, I left home with my mother, and we took a taxi to the Amuse Inc building. I thought the building would be in downtown Tokyo, but that wasn't the case. When we arrived, we noticed it was quite empty.
Unlike the Stardust Promotion building, there wasn't much activity here.
My mother spoke with the receptionist, and then we were escorted to a room on the third floor of the more-than-ten-story building. As soon as we entered, I saw the same man who had approached me on the street.
Rikuya Takahashi.
"It's great to see you again. I didn't even get the chance to ask your name that day."
"My mother must have told you my name."
"Kyo, that's a beautiful name." I shook the man's hand and sat down. My mother did the same. "I was surprised when I found out you're only 12 years old. You look at least 15."
"A lot of people say that." I smiled. "I stand out at school because of my height."
"I can imagine." After smiling, the man continued, "You know why I gave you that card, right?"
"You liked my appearance and want to give me a contract, right."
"Yes, exactly." He pointed at me. "It's been years since I've found someone like you. Actually, I've never seen anyone like you before. Someone so young with such a great physique and such a good face. What kind of magic do you use?"
"Well, I'm the son of very good looking parents, so it's only natural that I look good." I said it to tease my mother. Her face turned red, and she slapped my leg.
"Stop saying things like that!"
"He's right, you're very beautiful," Rikuya said. "Have you ever worked as a model or something like that? I feel like I've seen your face before."
"Yes, but that was many years ago. I'm over 40 now, so I'm no longer suited for that kind of work." My mother laughed.
"I don't recognize your name, but I'm sure I've seen your face before."
"Let's stop talking about me, okay? I don't really like discussing that. Let's talk about Kyo. You came here to sign a contract with him, right? But doesn't he need to audition first?"
"Audition?"
"Yes, like for a commercial or a TV series. You're not going to give a contract to someone with no experience or talent, right?"
"Hahaha." Rikuya laughed loudly. "Don't worry about that. Even if your son doesn't have acting talent, he'll definitely succeed as a model. I don't want to waste this opportunity—I want to sign a contract with him." He pointed his pen at me.
"A model, huh?" My mother looked visibly uneasy. "Kyo, are you okay with that?"
"Starting my career as a model? I don't see a problem with it."
"But Mr. Rikuya, I won't allow Kyo to appear in any adult magazines."
Hearing my mother, I was speechless.
"Mom…"
"Hahahahaha." Rikuya burst out laughing. "Don't worry about that. We don't work with adult magazines at this company."
"Oh…" My mother quickly realized what she had said. "Wait, wait! I didn't mean adult magazines in that sense! I meant things like underwear or provocative clothing magazines!"
"I understand, don't worry."
"So, do we need to sign the contract now?" I asked.
Rikuya smiled. "I'll prepare the contract. Could you come back tomorrow?"
"Tomorrow? I can't skip school for two days in a row."
"Don't worry, Kyo, leave it to me." My mother gave me a thumbs-up and smiled.
"Alright then, we'll come back tomorrow."
"And get ready—you might have a surprise tomorrow," Mr. Rikuya said.
What kind of surprise?

As soon as we left the building, my mother said, "I like him."
"Yeah, he's nice. Very different from that guy at the other company."
"You still remember him?"
"I remember everyone I met at Stardust Promotion. I remember each of their faces." I smiled at my mother.
She stared at me for a moment and said, "Don't do anything stupid, got it?"
I think she realized that I plan to make fun of those guys in the future.
Well, we'll see what happens.
I went to a restaurant with my mother for lunch, and then we went back home. As soon as I arrived, I checked my email to see if I had received a reply, but nothing yet.
Well, volume 1 has a lot of content.
After opening Twitter, I started thinking about my conversation with Rikuya. He said I might get a surprise tomorrow. I think I know what it could be…
I smiled and posted a new tweet:
[Keep an eye on the news!]
It was a cryptic tweet. People started replying, saying, "It's definitely the announcement of volume 17 of Overlord!"
Those people are going to be very disappointed.
Then night came.
Finally, I received an email from Mr. Kuroda.
The email was very professional and straight to the point: he wanted to sign a contract with me so I could start publishing this new novel. I expected that, I thought as I replied.
It's a shame I have to sign a separate contract for each work. It would be nice to have a permanent contract with the company or something like that. I don't see myself publishing novels with other companies.
After replying to Mr. Kuroda, I took a shower, had dinner with my parents, and went back to my room.
I made a new drawing and then went to sleep.
I woke up the next day feeling very excited.
And then, it was time to visit the Amuse Inc building again.
