After returning to the palace, Hao took Wei to the library.
"Why did you bring me here?" Wei asked.
"To teach you Mana control," Hao said, gesturing for Wei to sit.
Wei nodded and sat down.
Hao's eyes moved across the thousands of books on the shelves. After a few minutes, he tried to pull out one book.
"What is it, child… why did you wake me?" an old lady's voice came from the book.
"Hello, old lady. Can I borrow this book for a little while?" Hao asked, making an innocent face.
"Of course."
The book floated into Hao's hands.
The book was white in color, and on its cover, written in red ink, were the words:
< Mana >
Hao placed the book in front of Wei and sat in the chair beside her.
He turned to the first page:
<"Learn to let Mana Flow."
The words were written in large bold letters.
"You already know how to make Mana flow. So let's learn control directly," Hao said.
Hao had seen Wei use magic before. He knew that without Mana flow, magic couldn't be used at all.
"Alright…" Wei said softly.
Turning the pages, Hao finally reached the section he was searching for.
"Found it," he said happily.
On the page it was written:
< Learn to Control Mana >
Hao began to read:
"Mana is a blessing for humans… and also a curse. Sometimes, due to Mana overflow, a person can turn into a monster."
"Anyone can make Mana flow. But to control it, willpower must be strong."
"The most important thing to remember is that you can never actually control Mana—"
Hao stopped, shocked.
"What? Mana can't be controlled?" Wei asked.
"I don't know! I've never read this book before," Hao replied, and continued reading.
"Although you cannot control Mana directly, you can increase or decrease its flow using your willpower."
Hao took a deep breath.
"There is only one method to adjust Mana: First, feel the Mana flowing inside your body. Then, with your mind, use only the amount you need."
"Let's try, Wei," Hao said.
"But I can't use Lumina right now…" Wei said.
< Then why don't you use Water Magic? >
Ares's voice echoed.
"Water magic… how do I use that?" Wei asked.
< While controlling the flow of Mana, think of forming a small sphere of water. >
Ares explained.
"Alright." Wei closed her eyes and focused.
Now, Hao could hear Ares's voice and Wei's thoughts.
He simply sat quietly and listened.
He wondered:
"Can Wei really use magic without speaking a spell?"
Within moments, a small sphere of water began forming in Wei's hands.
[ Magic Activated ]
[Name of magic 'Water Magic ']
"Wei… I think you did it," Hao said.
Wei opened her eyes.
The moment she looked at it, the water sphere began to expand and suddenly burst—splashing both of them.
"It's okay. This was your first try. You'll get it," Hao said, drying both of them with wind magic.
"Should I try again?" Wei asked.
"Yes, but not here. Let's go to the training ground."
They both went to the training grounds.
"Wei. Keep practicing until the water sphere becomes small and stable," Hao said, stepping back.
"And remember, hold your magic for five minutes."
"Okay," Wei replied.
---
"Ares, do you have any idea?" Wei asked.
< Show me your practice first. Then I'll think.>
Ares said.
Wei tried again.
But again, the magic went out of control.
Once, twice, three times, four—
Every time, the result was the same.
At one point, she created a massive amount of water, flooding the entire ground.
But soon, the magic barrier absorbed all the water.
The Commander-in-Chief, who had been watching, immediately came to the ground.
He saw Wei practicing magic, and Hao sitting nearby watching her.
"Young Master… what is happening here?" the Commander asked.
"Oh, Uncle! Look—my sister's power is amazing, isn't it?" Hao said proudly.
The Commander watched Wei.
An entire hour passed.
Wei's power didn't weaken.
Her stamina remained the same.
Both Hao and the Commander were shocked.
"Is she truly the Princess?" the Commander whispered.
"Ssshhh…" Hao hushed him.
"Uncle, no one should know how powerful Wei is," Hao said quietly.
"I understand. But this power… is extraordinary," the Commander replied.
"Yes. But keep it a secret," Hao said.
"Understood, Young Master," the Commander said, and returned to his post.
Meanwhile, Wei was still trying to understand her power.
"Ares, did you figure out anything?" she asked.
< Yes. I think you can perform magic better using only one hand. And… keep your eyes open.>
Ares replied.
"But why?" Wei asked.
< Because whenever you open your eyes while casting, you lose control.>
"So this is the problem…" Wei thought.
She remembered—every time she had opened her eyes, the magic overflowed.
"Alright. This time, I'll keep my eyes open."
Wei guided her Mana slowly into her hand.
A small sphere of water formed again—
This time, stable.
But after three minutes, it burst.
"Thank you, Ares," Wei said happily.
"Hao, did you see that?"
"You did well, Wei. But you need to hold it for five minutes," Hao said.
Wei continued practicing.
---
Evening came. Wei was still practicing.
Sometimes, she managed to hold her magic for five minutes.
But most of the time, only for four.
Hao watched her and smiled.
"Wei! Hao! Come eat dinner! Continue practice tomorrow," Mei called out.
"Food…" both of them thought at the same time—
—and heard each other's thoughts.
They looked at each other—
Then rushed to the dining hall.
As soon as they sat down, they scanned the dishes.
(Wei, in her past life, lived alone, so she never complained about food. Hao was the same.)
Both siblings attacked the food.
Mei told them to eat slowly.
"Not today, Mom… I'm tired," Hao said, eating.
"Me too, Mom… he made me work so much today," Wei said while chewing.
"Fine, fine. But no talking while eating," Mei said.
Both of them nodded immediately.
In no time, they finished food meant for four people.
While eating the last piece of meat, Hao said:
"I think today's practice was enough. I have a book for you. Read it. It contains information about the kingdoms."
"Information about kingdoms… I can learn about this world," Wei thought.
"Yes," Hao replied—because he heard her thought.
"Oh right, you can read my mind," Wei laughed.
"Ohh, so you two are talking silently again?" Mei teased.
"Mom, you already know what she thinks," Hao said, laughing.
"Mom, that's not true!" Wei protested.
Everyone already knew the twins could read each other's thoughts.
"Mom, she was planning to take over a small kingdom," Hao teased.
"That is not true, Mom!!" Wei glared.
"I know, I know. But your ideas are quite interesting," Mei smiled.
Hao and Wei laughed too.
---
Night had fallen.
Wei sat on her bed reading the book Hao had given her.
The book's title:
< The Aurathiel World >
Wei learned that this world was called Aurathiel.
The kingdom she lived in was called Valen.
She also read about the Aurallia Empire, where the royal palace was located, and the cities of Auralis, Valen, and Nexie.
She read everything—maps, history, all of it.
"At least I gained something good in this new life," Wei said, placing the book back.
She yawned.
"I'm so tired today…"
The moment she lay down, she fell asleep.
