"You've got a death wish. Today, I'll show you what real suffering feels like."
One of the female fallen angels sneered, then said to Stephanie and the other one, Lilith, "Leave him to me. You two go capture Asia."
"Valeria, don't get careless. That thing in his hand is a Sacred Gear too," Stephanie warned quietly, keeping her cool.
"Yeah, I know," Valeria replied indifferently.
So what if it was a Sacred Gear? He was just a low-level devil. There was no way he could draw out its true power.
What they didn't expect was that Jack had no intention of fighting Valeria one-on-one.
Seeing Stephanie and Lilith try to slip past him to attack Koneko Toujou and Asia behind him, Jack's gaze turned cold.
His figure vanished on the spot. The boost from his Knight piece made his speed so fast it startled all three fallen angels.
That fast?!
Lilith suddenly felt a sharp gust of wind, followed by a stabbing pain at her neck. Her angelic combat instincts screamed a warning.
A sword of light formed in her hand as she instinctively raised it to block.
Clang!
Jack appeared right in front of her, his silver blade slashing down with overwhelming force.
The impact rang out harsh and loud. Lilith managed to block, but the sheer strength behind the strike forced her back several steps. She stumbled before finally steadying herself.
Jack held the King's Sword in one hand, clearly having the upper hand. His expression remained calm as he looked at her.
"Did I say you could leave?"
His flat tone made Lilith's face darken instantly.
She… had been pushed back?
Humiliation burned in her chest.
But how was he this strong? She had almost taken a loss just now!
Her expression twisted with anger. Glaring at him, she lunged forward again, her light blade cutting through the air as divine power surged wildly.
"Bastard, you're dead!"
She had completely forgotten about Koneko. Right now, all she wanted was to kill him and vent her rage.
Valeria, who had been about to step in, chuckled. "Looks like I won't need to bother. He's already pissed Lilith off."
That guy was as good as minced meat.
But things didn't go the way she expected.
Facing Lilith's furious assault, Jack didn't retreat. He met it head-on.
Magic power surged into the King's Sword, making it hum with excitement. He took every strike she threw at him without yielding an inch.

The rapid collisions sounded like metal being hammered in a forge. Sacred Gear and light blade clashed again and again, each strike heavy and explosive. In just a few seconds, they exchanged more than a dozen blows.
Both moved at incredible speed. Magic and divine power erupted without restraint, each collision sending shockwaves rippling outward.
The wind from their battle whipped Koneko and Asia's clothes into a frenzy. Even so, they didn't dare look away, eyes locked on the fight.
Koneko hadn't expected this at all.
Jack could actually go toe-to-toe with a high-level angel?!

With a single step, the stone beneath Jack's foot shattered. The plaza had already been reduced to a cratered mess in moments.
Lilith grew both shocked and furious.
She was already going all out, pouring every bit of divine power into her attacks—and still couldn't take down a mere low-ranking devil.
Unacceptable.
"Enough! Die already!!"
In a fit of rage, she unleashed Angelic Judgment.
Even as a fallen angel, her mastery of angelic techniques hadn't weakened. This attack was meant to annihilate him completely.
"Is he really that troublesome?"
Stephanie and Valeria exchanged glances, disbelief in their eyes.
To force her to use Angelic Judgment… was he really just a low-level devil?
Above them, a massive holy sword took shape in the sky, drawing even Rias and the others' attention. The opposing super angel glanced over, surprised by what was happening.
Jack, however, remained completely unfazed.
He calmly raised a hand, fingers spreading.
A silver shield shot into the air, firmly blocking the descending holy blade.

The destructive force was stopped cold by an invisible barrier. Standing beneath the shield, Jack's black hair whipped wildly in the wind, his dark eyes steady and emotionless.
He wasn't surprised that God's Lament could block that attack.
But now… they wouldn't underestimate him anymore. They might all attack together.
Individually, dealing with one high-level angel wasn't too difficult.
But three at once? That would be a different story.
Still… not impossible.
A faint smile tugged at his lips as he lowered his sword, its tip angled toward the ground. He looked at the three provocatively dressed fallen angels with open disdain.
"You three bird-women… come at me together."
No one could've imagined he'd say something so arrogant.
Behind him, Koneko and Asia stared at him like they were seeing him for the first time.
Even Rias and Akeno were taken aback.
"Oh my… since when did our little man get this bold?" Akeno said, clearly surprised.
The opposing super angel sneered coldly.
"Just a loudmouth insect. Big talk, huh? Don't tell me you trained that mouth of yours somewhere filthy?"
Killing intent flared instantly in Rias's eyes.
"You think you're worthy of looking down on my servant? In my eyes, he's worth ten thousand of you!"
Her magic power exploded with fury.
A torrent of violent flames surged forward, swallowing the three fallen angels in an instant.
Meanwhile, Jack's taunt had completely set them off.
"I'll rip your mouth open and knock every tooth out, then make you swallow them!" Valeria snapped in rage.
The three fallen angels attacked at the same time.
Koneko and the others felt their hearts tighten. Even she wouldn't come out unscathed against all three at once.
But Jack didn't even react to their incoming assault.
A magic circle flared to life in his palm—dark red, spinning and expanding rapidly.
In the next instant, a square silver seal engraved with a coiling dragon shot out from the formation.
Demon-Sealing Seal.
Jack looked up, his dark eyes blazing with power, and gave a single command:
"—No magic."
Buzz!
A colorless ripple spread out in all directions.
The three fallen angels suddenly felt their divine power freeze.
And in the next instant—
Their bodies dropped straight out of the sky.
