Caelis glanced at me again, this time with a bit more interest, as though that alone had been enough to catch my attention.
"Hmm… serious tone, vague answer," he murmured. "Now I'm curious."
There was a brief pause before he added, a little more casually, "This is about Mireille?"
I didn't respond to that either, leaving the question hanging between us without offering anything for him to work with.
Whatever he picked up from my silence, he didn't press further. Instead, he let out a quiet breath, the faint smile still lingering as he fell fully into step beside me, his pace matching mine.
"Alright," he said, almost to himself. "Guess I'll see it for myself."
The distance between us and Lloyd closed quickly.
A few more steps, and we were within reach.
