Gojo did not care about the surprised expressions on Spandam, Jabra, and Fukuro's faces, but their conversation—or more specifically, the word Doriki—had piqued his interest.
He looked at them and asked, "What exactly is Doriki?"
As soon as they heard Gojo's question, they definitely were not planning to explain what Doriki was to him. But Fukuro, being the loose-mouthed one, immediately opened the zipper over his mouth and began explaining it anyway.
The moment Fukuro finished his explanation, Gojo had a thoughtful look on his face.
Doriki was basically a type of power level system.
He honestly did not expect a power level system to exist in the world of One Piece. But then again, he had only watched One Piece properly from around the middle stage after the two-year time skip all the way until the Wano Arc.
And during that period, he did not remember Doriki ever being mentioned, nor did he remember the term being used much at all.
Which meant that this concept was likely not widely used throughout the whole world and was probably only something these World Government agents used among themselves.
A faint smile appeared on Gojo's face as he thought about it.
He could definitely understand why that was the case.
It was most likely because the people standing in front of him right now did not know the concept of Haki, nor its applications.
Because once Haki came into the picture, a person's strength could increase several times over. Their attack power multiplied, their defense improved, and even someone physically weak could become extremely dangerous.
An old man capable of using Haki could still inflict massive damage on others.
So because of that, Doriki was probably not used as a universal measuring system everywhere. It was only useful among lower-level fighters who could not use Haki and relied purely on their raw physical strength, without including Devil Fruits and other special abilities.
So in the end, this Doriki thing was only useful up to a certain point.
And this system was also quite vague because someone with good techniques could muster far more strength than what their normal strike would suggest.
Someone like Gojo himself was a perfect example.
He could control every bit of muscle in his body, every part of himself, in a way that allowed him to deliver extremely powerful blows that were incomparable to his normal base physical strength.
Because a punch thrown with only arm strength was much weaker than a punch thrown with the strength of the entire body behind it.
A small movement of the hips, a twist of the waist, the shifting of weight through the legs and shoulders—when all of it came together, the difference in power was enormous.
So even a system like Doriki could not perfectly judge someone's actual combat ability.
Now that Gojo's curiosity regarding the word Doriki was gone, he disappeared from in front of them.
The air where he had been standing distorted slightly.
And in the very next moment, he was already in front of Jabra.
Gojo's sword moved horizontally toward Jabra's stomach without the slightest hesitation.
Jabra's eyes widened when he saw Gojo appear in front of him so suddenly.
But despite the shock, his reaction speed was still extremely fast.
He immediately used his technique, Tekkai Kenpo.
Basically, even while using his Iron Body, he could still move, something that was nearly impossible for many other agents. Most people became rigid while using Tekkai(Iron Body), but Jabra had mastered it to the point where he could still move freely while keeping his body as hard as iron.
The ground cracked under his feet as he immediately retreated backward.
But even if Jabra had started retreating, how could he compare to the speed of Gojo's sword swing?
A sharp line suddenly appeared across his chest.
Then blood sprayed into the air.
It was only a shallow cut, but that alone was enough to show just how much strength Gojo possessed.
He had cut through the defenses of Jabra's Iron Body with a single sword strike.
Jabra continued sliding backward across the ground before finally skidding to a stop several meters away.
For a brief second, the office fell silent.
Jabra first looked down at the cut on his chest, seeing the blood slowly trickling out, before lifting his head toward Gojo.
There was now a solemn look in his eyes.
He looked toward Spandam and said seriously, "Leave immediately. He is not an opponent around whom you can stand here and wish to stay alive."
Then he turned toward Fukuro.
"You take Boss and run away from here immediately. Call for the others, especially Rob Lucci, to come here. I will hold him off."
As soon as he said that, Jabra's body began to transform.
His muscles swelled, his clothes tightened, and grey fur rapidly spread across his skin. Sharp fangs protruded from his mouth, while his hands turned into clawed wolf paws.
Soon, Jabra had completely transformed into his hybrid wolf form.
After all, he was the user of the Mutt-Mutt Fruit, Wolf Model.
Fukuro also understood from that single exchange between Jabra and Gojo that Jabra was barely a match for him.
At best, Jabra would only be able to hold Gojo back for a short period of time.
So Fukuro knew he had to take Spandam away from here immediately.
Because if Spandam died, then technically they had failed their duty.
And if that happened, even if they somehow survived against Gojo, they would definitely be punished by the World Government.
They might even be sentenced to death.
A cold wind swept across the area.
Without wasting another second, Jabra immediately used Shave.
His figure blurred and vanished.
In the next instant, he appeared directly in front of Gojo.
With the large, sharp claws of his wolf form, Jabra began using Finger Pistol relentlessly, stabbing toward Gojo with terrifying speed while mixing in different Six Power techniques to overwhelm him.
The sound of tearing air echoed repeatedly as his claws shot forward again and again.
Meanwhile, Fukuro immediately grabbed Spandam and started running away from there as fast as he could.
Just as Fukuro and Spandam, while running, had reached the gate of the office and were about to exit, suddenly, on the wall on their left side beside them, Jabra came crashing.
Boom!
The entire wall cracked around him, pieces of stone scattering everywhere.
Jabra slammed heavily against the ground, coughing up blood. There was a large cut running diagonally from his neck down to his abdomen, and the wound was deep enough that blood was continuously pouring out of it.
Seeing this, Spandam was horrified.
He immediately looked back.
Gojo was walking calmly toward them while holding his black-bladed sword in one hand.
His expression was completely relaxed, almost casual, as if he had not just sent Jabra flying through a wall with a single strike.
The sound of his footsteps echoed through the damaged office.
Seeing that scene, Spandam immediately became flustered.
He quickly unsheathed his sword, Funkfreed, and shouted, "Funkfreed, attack him!"
The moment Spandam gave the command, the sword transformed.
Its body began to elongate at an extreme speed.
An elephant's face appeared from the hilt area, and its trunk extended forward like a sharp sword blade aimed directly at Gojo.
The sword-trunk lunged toward him with incredible speed, tearing through the air as it shot forward.
But just before it could reach him, the sharp trunk suddenly stopped.
It had collided against Gojo's Limitless.
No matter how much force Funkfreed used, it was not even able to move an inch further.
The air between them seemed frozen.
Spandam, seeing this scene, cursed loudly.
"Dammit! What kind of defense is that? What exactly is that Devil Fruit?"
Fukuro, seeing this from the side, immediately said, "Leave Funkfreed here to buy us some time. I will take you away from here while running."
As he said that, he immediately picked up Spandam.
After thinking for only a few moments, Spandam, being the ruthless type, immediately abandoned his sword.
He looked toward Funkfreed and shouted, "Stop him at any cost and do not let him leave this office!"
As soon as Spandam let go of the sword and it fell onto the ground, Funkfreed finally transformed completely.
Its body expanded larger and larger until a full-sized elephant stood there.
The elephant let out a loud trumpet, its sword-like trunk aimed toward Gojo.
Meanwhile, Fukuro, while carrying Spandam, ran away from there as fast as he could.
And while running, he immediately took out his Den Den Mushi to call the other CP9 agents.
Gojo and Funkfreed stood opposite to each other.
Both of them had their own goal.
