Spandam was struck by the broken glass shards from the shattered window and shouted in pain.
"Ah!"
He immediately jumped up from his chair.
"How the hell did the windows shatter?!"
He turned back toward the window, where the frame had been completely blown apart. Jagged pieces of glass still clung to the edges, while the rest glittered across the floor like scattered ice.
Clearly, the shards had come from there.
But the moment he turned around, his eyes widened.
Just outside the broken window, floating in the air as if gravity meant nothing to him, was a young and handsome man with a fair complexion. He had messy white hair, a black blindfold covering his eyes, and was dressed entirely in black—a black jacket, black pants, and black shoes. The cold wind blew in through the broken opening, causing his white hair and jacket to sway slightly.
And then, without any hesitation, that young man stepped forward through the broken window.
His feet landed on the floor with a soft thud.
Crunch. Crunch.
The broken glass beneath his shoes shattered even more as he took a step inside.
Seeing Gojo, Spandam was immediately stunned. For a moment, in his panic and anger, he forgot who this person was. But when he looked carefully at that face, at the white hair and blindfold, he remembered immediately.
This was Gojo Satoru.
The same man whom he had spoken to just a few hours ago.
The same man who had already killed both Kumadori and Blueno.
Earlier, when Gojo had asked him where he was, Spandam had arrogantly declared that he was in Enies Lobby. He had even mockingly said, "If you dare, then come to Enies Lobby."
At that time, he had thought those words were nothing more than empty provocation.
But now, as Gojo stood there inside his office with broken glass scattered beneath his feet, Spandam suddenly realized that this young man had taken those words seriously.
Gojo had truly come to Enies Lobby.
And he was fulfilling the words he had spoken before.
"I am coming for your head."
As soon as Gojo entered Spandam's office, his gaze swept across the room.
The first thing he noticed was the man standing in front of him with leather straps wrapped around his face in a strange pattern, somehow making his already ugly face look even worse. Beside him stood two other men. One of them was a rather chubby person with an odd zipper-like mouth, while the other had a thin Chinese-style beard and sharp eyes.
The moment those two—Jabra and Fukurou—saw Gojo standing inside the office, both of them immediately moved.
Their bodies blurred for a second before they appeared directly between Spandam and Gojo, shielding Spandam behind them as if they were afraid Gojo would kill him in the very next second.
The atmosphere in the room became tense instantly.
Small shards of glass still rolled across the floor near the broken window, and the cold air drifting in from outside only made the silence heavier.
Gojo would have definitely asked who Spandam was if he had not already heard his voice earlier. Over the den-den mushi, he had already spoken with Spandam, and because of that, he remembered his voice immediately the moment Spandam screamed in pain just now.
Not to mention, these two were protecting the man behind them.
That alone was enough to tell him that the most important person in the room was standing there, hidden behind their bodies. Signifying the person behind them is Spandam, the Commander of Enies Lobby.
Still, Gojo tilted his head slightly and asked in a calm voice, "Although I know from your voice that you are Spandam, I will still ask."
A faint grin appeared on his face.
"You are Spandam, right? Or else I will kill someone else for nothing... for the crimes of someone else."
As soon as Spandam heard this, he shouted, "Do you even know where you are standing, you bastard?! This is Enies Lobby, and I am the commander here! Do you know that just for this transgression of yours, trying to assassinate me, you and your family will suffer?!"
His voice was loud, but there was an obvious tremble hidden underneath the anger.
As soon as Gojo heard this, he let out a small chuckle.
"What are you talking about?" Gojo said casually. "I am alone. I don't have a family."
He took another slow step forward, the broken glass crunching again under his feet.
"And generally, the people who go on a voyage are not the people who have family behind them. So your threat is kind of useless to me."
The smile on Gojo's face widened slightly.
"And why are you standing behind these two under their protection? Didn't you say that you would kill me? I am standing here right now."
His tone remained light, almost playful, but the pressure in the room only became heavier.
"Just go ahead and try to kill me if you have the guts to do so. Or are you really trash and only good at talking and nothing else?"
As soon as Spandam heard Gojo mocking him so openly, he became even angrier. His face twisted, and his ego was clearly hurt.
"You think I can't kill you?!" Spandam shouted. "I can definitely kill you, but why should I? I am the commander of Enies Lobby. I have so many subordinates. You have to go through them first. They will deal with you."
Even though Spandam was arrogant, he was not a complete fool.
If someone could not only defeat but even kill people like Blueno and Kumadori in a two-versus-one situation, then Spandam could only imagine how terrifying and helpless that battle must have been.
He was not stupid enough to think that Gojo was weak.
That was exactly why he remained behind Jabra and Fukurou instead of stepping forward himself.
No matter how loudly he shouted, no matter how much arrogance he displayed, deep inside, there was already fear growing in his heart.
After hearing Spandam's words, Gojo simply shrugged.
He already knew that Spandam, although he talked tough, was definitely a coward who did not dare to fight on his own.
"Whatever," Gojo said casually. "However many subordinates you have, they will just die. And in the end, you will also die, so don't worry about it."
A faint smile remained on his face.
"Just hold tight and wait patiently for your death."
As soon as Jabra and Fukurou heard this, both of them were about to attack, but before they could move, Spandam shouted from behind them.
"What the hell are you both waiting for?! When he comes and cuts my head off, then you are going to attack him?!"
As soon as Jabra and Fukurou heard this, Jabra immediately replied, "We are attacking, Boss!"
The next moment, both of them disappeared from where they were standing.
Using Shave, they moved at an incredible speed and attacked Gojo simultaneously.
Their figures blurred across the office, kicking up small pieces of broken glass from the floor. The air itself seemed to shake from the force of their sudden movement.
And yet Gojo remained standing still.
He did not move.
He did not even bother to unsheathe the sword on his back.
Jabra and Fukurou's attacks landed directly on him.
Spandam, who was standing behind them and watching everything unfold, saw that Gojo had shown no sign of resistance. He had not even tried to defend himself.
For a moment, Spandam thought that Gojo was all talk and nothing else.
After all, if he could not even react to the speed of Jabra and Fukurou, then perhaps he had been overestimating him from the start.
Both Jabra and Fukurou had attacked at the same time, throwing punches directly at Gojo. Their fists cut through the air with such force that the room itself seemed to tremble from the impact.
Finally, when they felt their fists connect, and Spandam also saw it happen, he immediately thought that Gojo was finished.
In his mind, he was already imagining Gojo being sent flying backward, crashing into the wall, coughing up blood, maybe even lying there broken and unable to stand.
That was what should have happened.
That was what usually happened when someone took a direct hit from strong fighters.
But nothing like that happened.
Gojo remained standing exactly where he was.
As if those attacks had meant absolutely nothing.
Gojo stood there calmly, without even changing his expression.
What Fukurou's and Jabra's fists had struck was not Gojo himself, but the Limitless between Gojo and everything around him. Their fists stopped in the air before they could ever touch his body, as if some invisible barrier existed between them and him.
The veins on Jabra's arm bulged slightly as he tried to force his fist forward, but no matter how much strength he used, his hand refused to move any closer.
It was as if space itself had frozen in front of Gojo.
Seeing that their attacks had completely failed, both of them were shocked.
As a precaution, they immediately retreated.
At that moment, they knew they were wide open, and if Gojo attacked while they were still standing there in confusion, he might injure them badly before they could react.
Not wanting to take that chance, both Jabra and Fukurou jumped backward at the same time, creating distance between themselves and Gojo.
Fukurou stared at Gojo with wide eyes and said in shock, "How is this possible? With my Douriki of 800 and your Douriki of 2180, we were not even able to harm him."
Both of them had clearly attacked Gojo with their full strength.
Jabra had not even used his Devil Fruit powers yet, but even in his human form, he had used all of his strength in that punch. Fukurou had done the same.
And yet, despite both of them attacking together, they had not even been able to force Gojo to take a single step back.
Not even half a step.
That was shocking not only for both of them, but also for Spandam, who was standing behind them.
The confidence on Spandam's face slowly disappeared.
A cold feeling crept into his chest as he looked at Gojo, who still stood there calmly with his hands in his pockets, as if everything that had just happened was completely normal to him.
