The third level of Hades.
"Now I can get everything." Ladin's entire body was covered in purple lightning.
His eyes glowed red, three sharp horns protruded from his head, two pairs of wings sprouted from his back, and even a tail extended behind him.
Having devoured countless demons, Ladin had reached a terrifying level of power. Even most high-ranking devils could no longer stand against him.
"Finally found it." Beelzebub's eyes lit up.
He had finally located the one he'd been hunting. "Little bug, you really made me work to find you!"
He sneered. "Don't think I won't recognize you just because you changed your alias."
Beelzebub's voice boomed through the darkness, drawing Ladin's gaze. "I was wondering who was making all that noise. Turns out it's you, little fruit fly—you really love buzzing, don't you?"
"Space Magic: Space Compression!"
Beelzebub roared as a cube of distorted space enveloped Ladin, trying to crush him from every side.
"A trifle." The purple-black thunder around Ladin crackled violently and shattered the spatial cube with ease.
He looked at Beelzebub with utter disdain. Is this the so-called superior devil? So weak.
"You forced me to do this!" Beelzebub bellowed as his body began to swell grotesquely.
Having already lost most of his original power, he couldn't exert his full strength anymore.
To truly unleash it, he'd have to abandon his sanity—becoming a complete devil once again.
With a thunderous boom, Beelzebub's body exploded outward. A mass of pulsating flesh spread rapidly, consuming everything it touched.
"It can't be devoured... but it can absorb demonic power?" Ladin flicked out a ball of lightning, testing the unknown mass—but the energy was immediately absorbed.
Even his devouring ability had stopped working.
"Damn it."
Ladin turned away, preparing to bypass Beelzebub entirely and continue deeper into Hades.
The spreading mass seemed alive, writhing and reaching for him—Beelzebub's lingering will desperately trying to drag him down.
The moment Ladin had struck, Beelzebub realized he couldn't win.
So in his last act of spite, he chose to make things harder for humanity.
But even that plan failed.
Ladin soon found the teleportation array leading to the fourth level of the Underworld.
A flash of light engulfed him, and his figure vanished.
The corrupted mass, left without a target, spread uncontrollably across the third level.
Before long, every demon trapped on that floor suffered a miserable fate.
Ladin couldn't shake the feeling that something was guiding him from below.
Otherwise, he never would've found the teleportation array so easily.
What is it exactly…?
Undersea Temple.
At that moment, Noelle had already formed a contract with the Sea God, Leviathan. Feeling the surge of divine magic flow through her, she couldn't help but smile in delight.
"Kahono, we'll head back now," Noelle said.
It was getting late, so she and the others prepared to return to the Black Bulls' headquarters.
"Thank you so much, Noelle!" Kahono beamed.
All the residents of the Undersea Temple came out to thank the Bulls for their help.
Kaito—the guy who'd once tried to flirt with Noelle—was completely crushed after Adam's earlier threat.
"We'll take our leave," Finral said as he opened a shimmering space portal.
Noelle and Vanessa followed him through.
When they returned to the Black Bulls' base, they immediately noticed Yami and his squad still hadn't returned.
"Why hasn't everyone come back yet? Did something happen?" Finral asked worriedly.
"Shut your damn mouth, Finral," Vanessa snapped.
Just then, a bright white light appeared across all the Magic Knight headquarters of the Clover Kingdom. It was Marx' communication magic.
"Attention, all Captains! Gather in the capital immediately! Something serious has happened!"
On the glowing screen, Marx' face was pale, and his voice trembled.
"The Spade Kingdom has launched an assault! They've attacked both the Golden Dawn and Black Bulls' bases—Captain Yami Sukehiro and Captain William Vangeance have been captured!"
"What?! That's impossible!" Noelle gasped.
"Finral—!"
"I'm on it!" Finral immediately opened another portal.
Marx' voice continued shakily, "Captain Fuegoleon and Captain Nozel are both gravely injured and unconscious... and the Wizard King is missing!"
"What?!"
The entire Magic Knight Order was thrown into chaos.
How could something so massive happen without anyone knowing?
"This situation is urgent—report to the royal capital at once!" Marx' message ended abruptly, and the light vanished.
Noelle's heart pounded. Her brother… unconscious? She clenched her fists in panic.
The three of them stepped into Finral's space tunnel, heading straight to the royal capital—where the kingdom's top healer, Owen, tended to the other seriously injured captains.
Charlotte Roselei, looking pale and frantic, ordered her subordinates to guard the Blue Rose base before hurrying to the capital.
Jack, Kaiser, Dorothy, Rill, and others followed suit.
The Clover Kingdom was in crisis.
Its backbone had been shattered.
What could they possibly do now?
Meanwhile, Yuno—who had already arrived in the capital—stood stunned.
He had come looking for the Wizard King, but now the man was gone.
Marx (nicknamed Mushroom Head) was under immense pressure, his mind spinning.
Without the Wizard King, with two captains captured and others missing, who could possibly take command?
"Right! We need to find Adam!" Marx exclaimed suddenly, eyes lighting up.
He recalled what the Black Bulls had said—Adam had been gone for several days, and no one knew where he'd gone.
Still, Marx made two urgent plans:
First, to contact Mereoleona—one of the strongest mages in the entire continent.
Second, to find Adam at all costs.
He gathered the Wizard King's personal guards, pooled their mana, and began scanning the kingdom with powerful search magic.
"Damn it! Even the head of the Magic Council is missing! What the hell is going on?!"
Hage Village.
"It's Adam! He's back!"
Sister Lily's face lit up with joy.
Before resurrecting the First Wizard King, Adam had returned to the church—wanting to see the children again first.
"Sister Lily, you've gotten even more beautiful," Adam grinned, wrapping her in a friendly hug.
Asta, that idiot, would never think of something this smooth.
Adam had grown up.
Sister Lily blushed and gently pushed him away, while the children and Father Orsi rushed over excitedly.
"Brother Adam!"
"Adam! You're finally back!"
The old priest actually began to cry, startling Adam. The man was way too emotional.
"This is…"
Sister Lily glanced at the quiet woman standing behind him.
"My companion," Adam said simply, pulling Princia closer.
She ignored him completely, her expression unreadable.
They all went inside the church. Adam noticed a wounded soldier lying on a bed.
"Who's that?"
"The Spade Kingdom…" Sister Lily explained the entire situation.
Adam nodded thoughtfully.
"It looks like something big is about to happen."
