Lexon couldn't help but glance a few times at the massive orb of light in the center of the space.
However, these conjectures were useless; the Main God wouldn't offer any answers.
'Should I deal with it or not...?'
Lexon contemplated as he stared at the door.
The speed at which the arm had lunged earlier wasn't particularly fast, roughly equivalent to Super Kage-level speed in the Naruto world.
To the current Lexon, that kind of speed was naturally as slow as a snail.
Thus, he was confident he could avoid being grabbed and wouldn't be touched by that scarred, blue-black arm.
However, despite his confidence...
...the fact that his Wood Clone had completely lost its connection to his main body after being dragged into the room still gave him pause.
That alone was enough to prove the blue-black arm was quite troublesome.
'It's not a Reincarnator...'
'Could it be something accidentally brought back from a previous mission world? For some reason, it stayed here, and for some reason, the Main God can't directly erase it, relying instead on high-performing Reincarnators to handle it?'
Another theory surfaced in Lexon's mind.
But he immediately tossed it aside.
Guessing was pointless now; he just had to decide whether to intervene.
Later, he could just ask Crane Lady, Youmei, or someone from the Reincarnator Administration Bureau if they'd encountered anything similar.
With that thought, he stopped.
Lexon stepped forward slowly.
He chose to engage.
After all, he was currently the captain of Jeju Team Two, and this thing was inside his team's Main God Space.
So...
Well, to be honest, he just thought it was interesting and wanted to see what it actually was.
But it would be just a quick look.
He would make basic contact and then decide, based on what he found, whether to provide it with some "humanitarian care."
To prevent any accidents, Lexon first activated his Demon Transformation and Six Paths Mode, ready to open the Gate of Death of the Eight Inner Gates at a moment's notice.
Just in case.
It was only natural to be cautious.
He usually knew his opponents in mission worlds inside and out, so he always knew how to handle them.
But now he was facing something completely unknown—something even the Main God hadn't directly eliminated.
It deserved to be treated with the utmost seriousness.
This was a lesson Lexon had learned back in the Naruto world when a cornered Zhongh brought out a powerful, explosive mechanical construct.
It wouldn't do to mess up now...
Then again, even if things went south, Lexon had a final ace up his sleeve.
It was a fail-safe placed on his subordinate, Crane Lady, who was under the influence of Kotoamatsukami.
An opportunity to be resurrected through her memories...
He had obtained this resurrection ability from that hostile female Reincarnator, Number Three.
However, the conditions for resurrection were quite strict, so Crane Lady was currently the only suitable candidate.
Lexon approached the door, repeating the same actions as his Wood Clone.
Without hesitation, he pushed it open.
The same scenario unfolded as a blue-black arm reached out from the opening once more, lunging toward Lexon.
Lexon suddenly flicked his pitch-black shakujo.
Ripples pulsed through the air.
*Sizzle...*
That arm! No, along with the hundreds of arms hidden in the darkness...
...they all vanished in an instant, like snow melting under the spring sun.
The pitch-blackness inside the room was also driven away by the ripples from Lexon's shakujo, revealing the room's true appearance.
It was empty.
Not a single piece of furniture or equipment was in sight.
It stood in stark contrast to the Main God Space outside.
'Empty?'
Lexon frowned slightly at the sight.
'Wait...'
A moment later, sensing something, he snapped his gaze toward a corner of the room.
There was clearly nothing there, yet Lexon's eyes remained fixed on that spot.
He walked toward the corner, his fingers twitching slightly as he moved.
He seemed to be pulling on something.
"Found you," Lexon murmured, the corners of his mouth curling upward.
He gave a sudden, forceful tug with his fingers.
Following the path of his fingers, the scenery in the room was torn apart like a painting, ripping open a gap that revealed a small portion of a dilapidated room.
On a table within that glimpse sat a square, transparent box.
Inside the box was the very same blue-black arm Lexon had just encountered.
"So this is the source..."
Lexon quickly deduced the origin of all those arms.
Judging by the strength of the other arms compared to the dense, malevolent aura radiating from the one in the box, the former were merely manifestations of the latter.
'So, whose hand is this?'
Curious about its origins, Lexon reached for the square box.
Everything this arm exhibited piqued his interest; he wanted to uncover the story behind it.
However, the blue-black arm seemed to possess an instinctual refusal to be taken, and Lexon's action triggered a defensive reaction.
In an instant, the malevolent aura of the arm surged, and the entire room was suddenly filled with countless blue-black arms covered in grisly scars.
Each arm writhed and piled up to block Lexon, plunging him into a frigid, oppressive atmosphere.
"Resistance is futile," Lexon said softly, his gentle expression still wearing a faint smile despite the situation.
Then, he tapped the approaching arms from all directions with his pitch-black shakujo, light as a dragonfly skimming the water.
*Crack... crack...*
Sounds like shattering glass echoed through the room.
As the shattering sounds subsided, everything in the room broke apart like a smashed mirror.
It cracked, fell, and dissipated.
By the time silence returned and the gap vanished, Lexon was already holding the square box in his palm.
The blue-black arm inside the box appeared much dimmer now.
It seemed to have exhausted a great deal of its power.
[SYSTEM: PLEASE SET THE ROOM TYPE, REINCARNATOR.]
'The prompt is only showing up now...?'
Lexon thought as he listened to the Main God's voice.
'So this blue-black arm was occupying the room before, making it unusable for Reincarnators.'
He looked at the motionless arm inside the box.
'But now I can suddenly choose the room type...'
'Observing how the arm has dimmed, its malevolence has decreased, and its power has clearly weakened...'
'Could it be...?'
'That this arm... can block the Main God's influence to some extent?'
An uncertain thought suddenly flashed through Lexon's mind.
Regardless, for this arm to appear in the Main God Space of a Phase Two Reincarnator team was clearly beyond the expected level.
Though Lexon could easily suppress it...
...there was no doubt that this arm possessed Six Paths-level power, and at the very top tier of that level at that.
Had Lexon not gained a wealth of experience in merging his abilities during his time in the Food Wars world, and subsequently refined that fusion upon his return to reality to transcend the Six Paths level and reach a new realm...
...then subduing this arm would have taken quite a few more moves.
