After confirming that Enel was dead, Wyper and Gan Fall fell silent.
Their lifelong goal had always been to defeat Enel, reclaim their homeland, and end the meaningless sacrifices. Now that it was over… they didn't know what to feel.
After a long moment, the two exchanged a look.
Gan Fall finally said, "Wyper, the people of Skypiea and the Shandia can't stay hostile any longer. Enough lives have been lost."
Raki nodded excitedly. "Yes! We must spread the news. Everyone needs to know Enel's rule is finished. From now on, we should all live in peace!"
Sandy sat down beside Gan Fall and Wyper, grinning.
"How about I, a Blue Sea person, give my opinion?"
They turned to look at him.
Sandy said, "Wyper, you're an excellent warrior. But a warrior can't lead an entire people into a peaceful future.
The old man next to you—Gan Fall—is different. He's been striving for peace for years. He's benevolent… and a good leader."
"Hehehe!" Luffy smiled brightly. "Everyone should get along!"
Then he suddenly frowned.
"But that Enel was so weak. Sandy beat him in one move. And he called himself a God—so disgusting."
Sandy snapped, "Are you still angry I dragged you over earlier? I told you, if I didn't finish him quickly, do you know what would've happened?!"
Everyone looked at him curiously.
Nami asked first, "What consequences?"
Sandy said, "Didn't you notice the sky turning gray earlier? The dark clouds gathering?"
Luffy looked up at the now-clear sky.
"What? I thought it was gonna rain. I prefer sunny days anyway—hehe."
Sandy sighed. "He's a lightning user, you idiot. Those clouds were being gathered by him."
"No way!" Gan Fall exclaimed. "Are you saying Enel had already begun preparing to destroy Skypiea?"
Sandy nodded, "That's why I didn't hesitate. Look—we Straw Hats came here for adventure, were welcomed warmly, fought hard…
and that bastard not only injured our crew but kept pushing his twisted 'God' nonsense while preparing to sink the entire island."
He spread his hands.
"So I sent him off."
"So that's what it was!" Raki shuddered. "Those dark clouds were controlled by Enel…"
"Wait." Nami stepped forward. "You said Enel is already dead?"
Gan Fall nodded. "He was killed by that young man next to you."
Thwack!
Nami smacked Sandy. "You idiot! You could've defeated him all along—why wait until now?!"
Sandy yelled back, "You damn woman! With everyone watching, I have to save some face—"
Thwack!!
"You bastard! We were worried sick!"
Sandy clutched his head. "I said I'm sorry!"
Nami put her hands on her hips.
"Good. Now—what about the Gold Country? Did you find it?"
Sandy shouted back, "NO—!"
Thwack!!!
"Hahaha!" Luffy laughed. "Can't you two act like adults? Why are you so reckless?"
Thwack!!
Soon after, Gan Fall and Wyper left to inform the people of the island that Enel's rule was over.
Meanwhile, Sandy and the others continued bickering.
"No way! This gold is mine—I found it!" Nami yelled, hugging the Golden Bell.
Sandy rolled his eyes.
"That bell is the sacred totem of this island! How the hell is it yours? Shameless woman…"
Luffy pointed at both of them.
"I say—shouldn't you two stop arguing? Where are Sanji and Usopp?"
Sandy shrugged, "Those two idiots got electrocuted and still haven't recovered."
Zoro crossed his arms. "Shouldn't we return to the ship and have Chopper treat them?"
"Yes, yes!" Chopper nodded. "Where is the ship docked? Take me there!"
As they walked, Luffy glanced at Chopper. "Chopper? What's wrong?"
Chopper frowned. It felt like he was forgetting something.
Zoro looked him over. "Chopper… you're hurt too?"
"Huh?" Chopper blinked—then suddenly remembered.
"Everyone! I defeated a God's Enforcer! I—I defeated one!!"
Luffy grinned. "You're amazing, Chopper!"
"So… does that mean I'm a Pirate now? Just like you?" Chopper asked seriously.
Sandy snorted, "We are Pirates. What's so impressive about defeating a God's Enforcer? I killed a God!"
Everyone rolled their eyes. He was seriously jealous.
Luffy pouted. "Hey, Sandy! If I had the chance, I could've defeated Enel too!"
"Hehe." Sandy turned away. "Sure, Luffy. You're amazing."
Elsewhere, when Gan Fall tried to tell the residents that Enel was defeated, they recoiled in terror.
"Gan Fall, you used to be God—how dare you say such blasphemy?!"
"Yes! Lord Enel, please forgive us! This has nothing to do with us!"
"Gan Fall, leave! Quickly! It's over—we're all going to be punished!"
Gan Fall sighed helplessly. Enel's shadow had terrorized them for years. Without seeing Enel's corpse, they would never believe he was gone.
Just then, Conis stepped forward boldly.
"I don't acknowledge Enel as a God!"
This sentence was forbidden in Skypiea. Everyone waited for her to be struck by lightning.
But nothing happened.
Conis stood unharmed.
Gradually, others stepped forward and repeated her words. And nothing happened to them either.
Could it be… Enel was truly defeated?
The people of Skypiea burst into cheers.
