As soon as the Straw Hats left, the old woman at the gate immediately made a report.
It turned out she was Amazon, the surveillance officer of Heaven's Gate.
Amazon reported to God Enel and all the God's Enforcers that eight illegal intruders had entered God's Country — and requested divine punishment.
The Straw Hats were already in trouble.
Except for Sandy, none of them realized they'd been marked as criminals the moment they passed through the gate.
After spiraling through the cloud passage, the Going Merry finally landed on the real Sky Island.
What unfolded before them was a breathtaking scene — an endless expanse of white, dotted with dreamlike cloud buildings.
Some castles floated atop cloud layers, while towering green vines pierced the sky, adding vibrant color to the sea of clouds.
Even Sandy, who prided himself on staying calm, was left speechless by the sight.
"It's an island — Sky Island!" Luffy shouted excitedly.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa…" Sandy grinned. "Everyone, have you ever seen anything like this? Not even the best paintings compare!"
"Hahaha, it's beautiful!" Usopp added, eyes wide with wonder.
The three of them — Luffy, Usopp, and Sandy — threw their arms around each other's shoulders and began to chant, "Sky Island! Sky Island!"
Chopper jumped up to join in, laughing, "Sky Island! Sky Island!"
The Merry docked soon after, and Luffy, unable to contain himself, shouted, "Where should we go first? There's gotta be tons of fun stuff here!"
Before anyone could stop him, Sandy leapt off the ship, rolling dramatically on the white cloud shore.
"Oh, blue sky, white clouds… Nami, Robin — you're both mine! All mine!"
"Bastard, what the hell did you just say?!" Sanji exploded, veins popping on his forehead.
On the ship, Nami and Robin exchanged glances, both blushing slightly. Then Nami snapped, "Who the hell is yours, huh?!"
"Hehehe…" Robin chuckled softly. "Nami, let's go down and join the fun?"
Meanwhile, Chopper imitated Sandy, rolling around beside him.
Sandy laughed. "So, Chopper, how is it? Feels great, right?"
"Yeah!" Chopper said, eyes sparkling. "Sky Island is incredible!"
"Hey, Sandy!" Luffy yelled from above, hanging upside down from a tree. He plucked a huge, pumpkin-like fruit, tried to bite it, failed, and threw it straight at Sandy's head. "Catch!"
Thud!
The fruit smacked Sandy square in the face.
"You idiot! Are you trying to kill me? Get down here!" Sandy shouted.
Luffy stuck his tongue out. "You come up here!"
"You come down! Let's see if I don't kick your ass!"
"Baka! You come up, and I'll send you flying into the sky!"
"You're getting brave, huh? You come down!"
"Nope! You come up!"
Zoro walked over, rubbing his temples. "Seriously… what are you two doing now?"
In his hand, he held a small white creature. "Hey, what's this thing?"
It was a tiny white fox — fluffy, adorable, and unlike anything Sandy had ever seen. He quickly took it from Zoro, holding it up.
The fox squinted and chirped a few times, "Whoosh whoosh…"
Then, the sound of a zither floated through the air.
A graceful woman stood not far away on the clouds, playing softly, her posture elegant and serene.
"Look," Zoro said, pointing. "Who's that?"
Usopp ducked behind the railing. "Don't tell me it's one of those masked freaks again!"
Chopper clung to Sandy's leg, trembling. "The whistle! Where's the whistle?! Call that old man now!"
"Wait," Sanji said suddenly. "No… is that an angel?"
"An angel?" Sandy frowned. The woman did have wings — small, delicate ones — but to call her an angel? Please.
Real angels, in his mind, were women like Tsuru, Kaisa, or Yan — the type that could make your soul ascend.
The woman smiled gently at the fox. "Sisi, come here."
The fox in Sandy's hands yipped and leapt into her arms.
"Are you people from the Blue Sea?" she asked softly.
"Yeah," Luffy answered. "We flew up from below! You live here?"
"Yes," the woman replied. "Welcome to Angel Beach, part of God's Country. Hmm? Do you want to drink that?"
"Huh?" Luffy handed her the green fruit.
With a small knife, the woman sliced open the top and explained, "This fruit's shell is as hard as iron. You'll never bite through it. There, please drink."
Luffy took a sip and exclaimed, "It's delicious!"
The woman smiled. "My name is Konis, and this is Sisi, my cloud fox. If you have any questions, I'll do my best to answer them."
"Wow!" Sandy said dramatically, pointing at her. "See that, Nami? So gentle, polite, soft-spoken — and then there's you…"
Bonk!
Nami smacked him square on the head.
At the same time, Sanji stepped forward, hearts in his eyes. "Please, my angel… your eyes have healed the burns in my heart…"
Bonk!
Another hit from Nami.
"Anyway," Nami smiled politely, turning to Konis, "we actually have a lot of questions. This place is just… beyond belief."
"Of course," Konis said warmly. "Ask me anything."
"Hey," Zoro interrupted, pointing to the distance. "Someone's coming."
"That's my father," Konis said.
On the other side of the cloud sea, a man rode toward them on what looked like a Sky Viper, a unique Sky Island vehicle. He waved. "Konis! Sisi! I'm home!"
"Father! Welcome back!" Konis waved cheerfully.
Luffy's eyes went wide. "That thing's awesome! I wanna ride it!"
Konis giggled. "That's the Sky Viper, our island's main transportation. But you can't control it without at least ten years of training."
"Hey, hey! Uncle!" Sandy waved, "Stop! Stop!"
The man turned his head, panicked — and promptly crashed headfirst into a tree.
"You okay?" Sandy asked, rushing over.
"I—I'm fine!" Konis's father said, brushing himself off.
Zoro sighed. "Take care of yourself first, old man."
"Hahaha!" Sandy grinned. "You're hilarious, uncle. But seriously, that ride looks cool. Can I try it?"
"You can," the man said hesitantly. "But it's not easy to control, so don't push yourself."
"Don't worry!" Sandy said, full of confidence.
The crew exchanged looks. "You… know how to ride that?"
Sandy rolled his eyes. "Of course I do."
Luffy's eyes sparkled. "I wanna ride too!"
Sandy slicked back his hair with a mirror, then fixed Luffy's hair the same way.
"What's this for?" Luffy asked, confused.
Sandy tossed him a pair of sunglasses. "Put these on. Brother's gonna show you the true meaning of speed."
"Whoaaa…" Chopper and Usopp's eyes glowed. "Take us next!"
"Yeah!" Chopper cried. "The feeling of the wind! I wanna feel it!"
Sandy laughed. "Alright, after Luffy's turn. Luffy, hold tight!"
"I'm ready! Let's goooo!"
"You two aren't taking us?!" Usopp shouted.
"There's only room for two, dumbass!"
With that, the two slicked-back idiots — Sandy and Luffy — hopped on the Sky Viper and shot off into the clouds.
Wind roared past their faces — and then, within two seconds…
Splash!
They plunged straight into the cloud sea.
Zoro blinked. "...What are they doing?"
Chopper and Usopp screamed, hugging each other. "Sky Island is too scary!!!"
Konis gasped. "Hurry, save them!!"
Sanji crossed his arms. "Don't worry. With that guy around, they'll be fine…"
