Haruto opened his eyes with a smile on his face, after all he'd pulled some really powerful characters this time.
And he also had his first mission from the mad scientist himself, Okabe Rintarou.
Mission Aim : Send a message to alter the past.
Mission Assigned By : Okabe Rintarou
Mission Reward : Reading Steiner (Ability to keep memories across world lines).
Now how was Haruto to send messages back to the past?
He did not really know.
But he had an idea and for that he needed to prepare well, so he also scheduled a new training session with Korosensei after he finished his training with Unohana each evening given he was more free now.
However right now, Haruto's eyes sharpened as he had thought of an idea that would help him combine chakra with machines.
'If I do this right… I can bring the magic of internet into this world…'
Haruto's idea was dead simple.
If he couldn't combine seals with electricity to do some magic, all he needed to do was replace seals with a few dumb shadow clones.
The shadow clones could be affected by electricity at a specific rate and through some communication jutsu convey to each other if they were shocked or not.
That is, they would essentially be communicating with each other in binary.
Of course, to do this Haruto had to do two things.
One was to create clones that could handle being shocked constantly, and the other was to develop a jutsu that would allow the clones to communicate with each other.
"I have the clone part down thanks to Tobirama's knowledge of shadow clones that I got. I should be able to create clones that can withstand electricity rather easily."
"The problem is with the communication bit."
"How do I make clones communicate with each other? Without popping them?"
"Could I do something like the shadow clone jutsu? Using it by modifying the clones to send packets of chakra and memories back and forth between themselves?"
Haruto frowned.
He had learnt how to perform the shadow Clone jutsu perfectly.
But he felt like inter communication between clones was an entirely new field that stretched his understanding of the shadow clone jutsu quite a bit.
"Do I have to really invent this new jutsu myself?" Haruto mumbled out loud to no one in particular before closing his eyes to find a shortcut.
And he found it rather quickly with the help of Occlumency while searching through his memories.
"Wait… didn't the Yamanaka clan have that communication jutsu? Mind Body Transmission jutsu wasn't it? Something that they used during the war to communicate with multiple people at once?"
"Didn't Inoichi use it to send messages to the entire Allied Shinobi force at once?"
"Can't that be used?" Haruto asked himself as a plan brewed inside his head.
Haruto stood up from his desk with a smile on his face and walked towards the exit of the R&D department since what he wanted was something no one in the R&D department could give him anymore.
"Hmmm… which room did I have to go to in the hospital again?" Haruto pondered tapping his finger on his chin. "Well… let's just go to Tsunade's office and hug her thigh for what I need."
It was afternoon already when Haruto left the R&D department so he hoped Tsunade would be in her office, at least eating lunch.
Knock Knock
Haruto paused outside her office door after knocking on the door and waited patiently.
There was no sound for a few seconds and Haruto was about to knock on the door again when it opened quietly.
"Yes?" Shizune said softly looking at the small Haruto who was looking up at her from below.
"Ah… Is this not Tsunade-sama's office? I'm here for her." Haruto asked Shizune, he hadn't officially met her so he shouldn't have known who she was.
"This is the right office, but she is currently resting after a busy morning. If you want I can take your message and deliver it to her after she is ready to hear it."
Haruto frowned.
He didn't trust Shizune to convey what he was about to say to her at all.
She was a goody two shoes, and learning that Tsunade might dive neck deep into the sin of money, a taboo for all Shinobi, she might never let his words reach Tsunade.
So Haruto coughed slightly to clear his throat, took a deep breath and spoke, "Please tell Tsunade-sama that I have a BUSINESS proposition where she can MAKE MONEY BY DOING NOTHING!"
Shizune froze as soon as she realised what Haruto had said and done before she looked down at Haruto and glared at him with full effect.
Her expression was clear and it said only one thing-
'Listen here you little shi-'
"What? Free money? Who's at the door, Shizune?" Tsunade asked quietly from behind.
Shizune quickly turned around, "Nothing Tsunade-sama. It's one of those scammers that try to steal old people's money."
However Shizune's words didn't have the intended effect on Tsunade.
"Someone's scamming me!? I'd like to see who dares do such a thing! And who dared to call me old!?!?"
Haruto wanted to really shout at this moment, 'Aren't the people at gambling houses scamming you out of your money too you hag?'
But Haruto knew better so he kept quiet. After all, the situation of a consenting adult donating away all their money willingly couldn't be called a scam.
"Why aren't you moving, Shizune." Tsunade asked, stepping forward.
Shizune was moved out of the way before Tsunade came into view at once.
"Oh…" Tsunade was immediately disappointed. "It's you…"
But Haruto didn't falter, he immediately cupped his hands and bowed in greeting, "Junior greets senior."
Seeing Tsunade about to close the door in his face, Haruto quickly spoke up, "Junior has a great prospect for Senior to make her wealth reach the highest peaks of Mt. Tai."
BANG!
"OUCH! THAT HURT YOU CRAZY WOMAN! WHO TREATS A CHILD THIS WAY!?" Haruto complained while holding his head.
"There. I cured you of whatever disease you had that wasn't allowing you to speak properly. Now you can go away. Shoo~ Shoo~." Tsunade said before trying to close the door.
Only, Haruto placed his feet in between, stopping her from doing so.
"Can't you at least hear me out?" Haruto asked with a begrudging look, still massaging his head.
Tsunade looked at Haruto with a frown and seeing Tsunade evaluating him, Haruto quickly spoke up, "I promise it'll be worth your time."
Sigh…
Tsunade opened the door and spoke quickly.
"Whatever you've got to say, if it wastes my time even a little, I'm giving you back that strange disease you just had… and don't ask me how I'll be giving it back to you, you brat."
Haruto quickly nodded and Tsunade stepped inside the room.
Haruto followed her, doing his best to ignore the glare that Shizune was sending his way.
They settled themselves on the sofa in the corner of the office before taking things further.
"Speak." Tsunade ordered and Haruto complied.
"Can you imagine a world where information travels between two people without delay no matter where they are?"
Tsunade nodded, "Yeah."
Haruto accepted, "I know you're talking about war times and the Yamanaka Secret Jutsu that allows for near instant communication during it."
"Are you talking about something different?" Tsunade asked, relaxing into the couch to give her shoulders some rest.
Haruto nodded, "I'm talking about creating something that allows people to do the same during peace times."
Tsunade frowned. "The Yamanaka would've already done something like this if it were cheap to do it. They don't because they have to employ a ton of manpower to do so which is only possible during war."
Haruto smiled.
"What if I have a way to offset that manpower onto machines?"
