This guy truly lived up to his origin, coming from the same source as the Hulk—he could mutate infinitely.
But this power wasn't something Steve could summon at will; it required rage.
Devil Steve was too powerful. His strength, defense, and speed far surpassed a regular Hulk.
He could fight, tank hits, fly, unleash long-range attacks, and resist mind control. Simply explosive.
The enraged Devil Steve saw nothing but a blood-red haze; destruction filled his heart. Seeing Leo before him, he attacked without hesitation.
Eliminate the Human God in front of me, and I'll be the new God!
Roar!!
Devil Steve raised his one-and-a-half-meter foot and stomped down on Leo.
Heavy as a thousand pounds, it was an angry strike. Leo could only guess the force—at least two to three thousand tons.
As the giant foot descended, Leo teleported lightly, appearing directly behind him. Devil Steve spun instantly, delivering a backhanded strike.
Devil Steve's heightened nerves were like omnidirectional radar, and his reactions were blindingly fast. Truly a "flexible fat man" in combat.
Leo teleported again, appearing above him, and unleashed full Telekinesis.
Boom!!
A 500-ton telekinetic hammer smashed onto Devil Steve's head, slamming him violently into the ground.
No one really knew the full extent of Leo's powers.
So far, he had only displayed freezing, teleportation, metal control, and superhuman attributes.
Roar!!
Dizzy and bleeding from every orifice, Devil Steve screamed in pain.
500 tons of force had struck him—anyone else would be obliterated. His near-invincible defense and evolved healing saved him.
High-ranking officials from various countries, secretly watching via satellite, were stunned. Mouths agape, utterly silent.
He… he… he…
God, why is this guy so powerful? Invincible!
Oh my god! Why does the Creator favor him alone? So unfair!
Human God! Human God!!
"Send his picture to everyone. Anyone who sees him must respect him. Offend him, and you should die to atone, lest you implicate us!"
A terrifying truth seemed to dawn on the world.
On the battlefield, Leo stood proudly in the void, quietly watching the battered Devil Steve. He had no intention of killing him.
Mephisto observed from the shadows, the Ancient One watched silently, and the Mutant race also observed from afar.
They wondered what Leo would do with a creature who had fallen into hell.
After a moment, Devil Steve recovered. His powerful self-healing meant he wouldn't die easily. He quickly became lively again.
"The Human God is powerful, but I won't let you sneak-attack me again!"
Devil Steve hissed, unconvinced, refusing to admit defeat.
He shot into the sky, wings spread, eyes glowing red, targeting Leo.
Mountains behind Leo crumbled under the force, but Leo swayed lightly and dodged; the terrain couldn't.
Devil Steve realized probing attacks wouldn't succeed, but he continued firing high-temperature rays in all directions.
Leo ignored them entirely, detaching his space from the real universe with Dimensional Space.
He stood openly, leaving Steve staring in disbelief.
"F***! What's going on? Why can't I hit you?"
Steve stopped, helpless. He could no longer waste energy, staring at Leo in shock.
"Want to know? Stupid Earthling, I'm not in your dimension."
"But with your intelligence, you probably can't comprehend interdimensional differences. Though some people can."
Leo smirked, deliberately misleading Steve and others observing.
Only less knowledgeable humans were fooled; Mephisto and the Ancient One were not.
Steve, a native with limited understanding, was immediately taken in.
"So… I can never hit you? You have to appear for me to strike?"
"Not too stupid—you figured it out quickly," Leo replied, chuckling like a teacher pleased with his student.
Steve, realizing he couldn't fight, turned to flee—of course, to seek revenge on Tony.
Leo watched him bolt, paused, and laughed.
"You're adaptable, but you can't escape!"
The entire Earth's space was under Leo's control; Steve could never evade him.
"Stop!"
Leo commanded, and a brilliant blue light instantly enveloped Steve.
Buzz!!
Invisible space converged, trapping Steve in place. He frantically pounded the invisible wall.
Thump! Thump! Thump!
One punch. Two punches. Three punches… Even the colossal force of several thousand tons was powerless. The barrier was unbreakable.
"Don't waste energy. You won't break it even if you exhaust yourself."
Leo appeared before him, calm and indifferent.
Steve stopped, growling. "Why? Why do you help Tony so much? Why stop me from avenging Bucky?!"
"Why?"
Leo looked down at him. "Why are there so many 'whys' in this world? Everything is fate."
"My actions only mean that Bucky had bad luck."
He shrugged. No explanation needed—Steve's misfortune was just that.
"You!!"
Steve seethed but couldn't argue. Weakness is the original sin.
"All right. I'll give you a chance. You can see Bucky again—though he can't return. But without my permission, you cannot return either."
Leo's words sent the giant Steve into uncontrolled excitement.
"Are you serious?" he asked, trembling with anticipation.
"I wouldn't lie to you," Leo replied.
